"UGH WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" Grayson grunted.
As he struggled to get up on his feet, his lower body buckled and sagged and he had to rely on the wall for balance.
God, he was a mess, his thighs pockmarked with scars, his belly riddled with keloids, one calf nearly stripped off the bone. And the back of his head hurt, like someone had hit him with a hard melt just behind his head. Right on the skull.
He even bet the doctors back when he was in the hospital, had done everything they had with their bolts and rods, but compared to what he had been born like, he was a broken toy repaired with duct tape and super glue.
Guess he hadn't healed completely then. Maybe it was from the blow or it was that his healing had suddenly slowed down, if so...maybe now he could die quicker. But that headache though, maybe he would die from a mind-blowing headache.
But then again, suicide was supposed to work. And Marcel was still the reason he'd survived for many years. But no matter how many times he had tried to save Grayson from dying in the past, Death had still managed to find him and claimed him, and proved the other side were the true owners.
"Is everyone alright?" Liz had finally spoken, crouching down next to Emily who had suddenly become unconscious. She laid on her her stomach, eyes closed and blood dripping down her from nose. something defiantly wasn't right?
Liz shook her body slightly, "Emily?" But she never really responded, at this point everyone had awaked seconds after but she remained unconscious.
"She's not waking." Liz said worriedly, looking at Grayson but he couldn't even get up himself. What was wrong with him? 'Get up!' He screamed at his body to move, to get up.
"Invite me in." Titan said, more seriously than he had ever done. A seriousness, Grayson had never seen him with. Did he care for the witch? Did she mean something to him? If he did, it surprised Grayson because it meant he cared about someone other than himself.
He did have a soul after all, he wasn't all that dead not like he had himself portrayed himself to be. Humanity still edged in there somewhere, hurried deep within.
"Like hell I'm going to let other vampire in my house." Liz shot back, it was enough she had invited Grayson and Marcel but she wasn't going to let any other ones in. It was simply for the safety of her daughter and herself, even if they were far more in dangerous than they have ever been.
"Invite me in or I swear I'll have your head on a stick." Titan warned, a held a warning that was vicious, for once it showed in his eyes. Emotion, a murderous one but also in them he held worry. For the second time Grayson had seen something other than that coldness, lifeless expressions he had offered Grayson over the years.
"I said No!" She shouted but never was she quite done. "Threaten me one more time and I swear to god I'll be the one putting your head on a stick."
Titan only growled in frustration. He held the framing of the door, griping it tight out of infuriation. He felt helpless at this moment. "You lay one hand on her and I swear-"
"Shut up! I don't have time for your tantrums vampire." Liz respond, far more ferric than before. Her ocean blues held a fire, an anger. But it never really fitted her outer appearance, he feature soft and angel-like. It seemed as though he wasn't even capable of feeling such an emotion but given the situation even angels had their breaking point.
"I have a name sweetheart." Titan said feeling slightly offended by her generic name calling. But it didn't matter because the moment he shifted his gaze to Grayson, he looked a mess.
"You're alright there Gray?" Titan asked, worried. If anything happened to him, he simply wouldn't forgive himself. But mot importantly Marcel would have his head on a bloody stick, bother or not.
Grayson grunted, holding his head tight. "I'm fine." He grunted once again. "But I don't think it's me I'm worried about." He continued.
Titan raised his eyebrows slightly in confused, "What do you mean?" He asked.
"I think it's Alison." Grayson spoke, with a worry that he had always felt for Emily. A worry that brought more dread than a peace of mind.
"What are you talking about, last time I saw her she was happily running." Titan replied.
"You were near my daughter? If you had hurt-" Liz started once again but this time Titan cut her off.
"I didn't touch her." He simply said.
"I think she'd hurt. Agh!" He shouted in pain. His head banging within his mind.
"Liz You need to invite me in, I can help." Titan begged. Looking at both of them, the two people he cared about were in pain.
"No, not what you did to her." She said stubbornly, her intentions were never to back down. Whatever happened She wasn't going to let a vampire help her. She was waiting, waiting until King Gabriel got here, maybe then someone could explain to her what that explosion was. Or whatever it was.
"Please you need to-" His sentence was once agin cut short but the snapping of his neck. His body dropped to the ground once again but this time, he wasn't going to get up so quickly.
Gabriel stood at the fame of the door looking pissed off. More than he had ever done before.
"What happened?" He asked.
"I don't know." Liz replied, but the worry on his face told her that he knew more than he led on.
"And him?" Gabriel pointed to Grayson who looks to be in shambles, pain surging though him more forcefully than before.
"Alison's in danger." Liz spoke, as Gabriel entered her house coming to check up Emily, lifting her head slightly observing her bleeding nose. His features never gave anything away.
"Emily will be fine, she'll wake up soon." He spoke stern, cold and slightly detached.
"And my daughter?" Liz pestered on, she was more worried about Alison than Emily as selfish as it sounded.
"We haven't found her yet, but we will. I promise Liz, she'll be fine." He replied softly. Too softly, even for him. Had something happened to her daughter?
It was obvious he was keeping something from her, so many secrets, so many things hidden. Kept away, locked like the demons in Pandora's box but even those demons had found a way to out of that box.
"Gabriel, if something has happened to my daughter, I would like to be informed about it ." She spoke seriously and stern, she would never talk to her King in this sort of manner but her child was missing.
"I told you Liz she will be fine. Besides that's not why I'm here..." Gabriel shifted his gaze, slowly to the one person he had been searching for. "I'm here for him." He finished saying, all while pointing at Grayson, who looked to be in more pain than before.
"Agh!" Grayson groaned once more before, his body moved rolling from side to side. His bones started to make its first break. They shifted, cracking in the mist of air breaking bit by bit, morphing into something inhuman.
"Is he about to shift?" Liz spoke shocked and somewhat scared, who wouldn't be. He was the man that murder her mate.
Gabriel stayed still for a few more seconds before, leaving her side. He stud next to Grayson that groaned in pain. "Not today he isn't." With that he pulled a syringe and injecting him with it, pushing it's pointed part right into his skin.
Grayson's body went limp in an instance, almost lifeless... Like his body couldn't take whatever was in that liquid.
He was still, too still but somehow he remained conscious. Only his body couldn't move. "What the fuck did you do to me?" He asked.
"Don't worry, just a something to help you from shifting. It used on pups to train them in controlling their wolf." Gabriel spoke stern and cold.
"It won't work, not for long." Grayson spoke, uncertainly. He'd tried this before, it never held him down, not once. But the man that stud in front of him seemed far more uncertain to Grayson.
"We haven't met, I'm Gabriel." the man finally said. This was his father. But Gabriel was far from don't. "I've heard a lot about you." He said once more.
But all Grayson could but laugh in his head, all while saying, "That's strange, Because knowing me I'm a dick." Grayson said sarcastically, he had a habit of rolling his eyes at the stupidity of the situation.
"I never said they were good things." Gabriel replied.
