"Hi I'm Baek Rohanne, Nice to meet you all, please take care of me"
She smiled and bowed; as soon as she stood up straight again she glanced at Seju and Sejeong who were shocked like they saw a pig fly in front of them.
"That concludes this meeting you're all dismissed"
As soon as the meeting was finished they all went back to their stations, except for Seju and Sejeong, Doah instructed them to stay for a while.
"You two…" Doah started
Seju and Sejeong just looked at her, their hands sweating.
'Did this woman tell the chief how we treated her earlier?'
The two of them were anticipating some scolding from their boss, they've already prepared their ears. Shutting their eyes closed, instead of hearing a yell they heard a sigh.
"Show this woman around the hospital" Doah said referring to Rohanne who was smiling at the two of them
"Hey, Sunbae don't just call me woman I'm a Doctor now! Call me Dr. Baek! DOC.TOR BAEK!" The blonde woman protested at Doah who was just irritated and annoyed at her.
Seju and Sejeong looked at each other and watched how the cool and composed woman earlier who coolly said 'I'll perform the surgery' is acting like a spoiled child right now.
"Ugh, Deal with her" Doah said as she massage her temple "by the way, Sejeong after you tour her you can rest for the day, Seju you'll have a 12 hour shift with this nuisance here today and change shifts with Sejeong after that. You two deserve this short break"
Their Boss instructed and then faced Rohanne
'A 12 hour shift… is hell breaking loose or something?'
With a slightly teary eye the two smiled
"As for you, you'll have a 36 hour shift" As soon as she said that to Rohanne's face she turned her back on them and started walking towards the exit.
"W-What?! Sunbae?!" Rohanne was about to protest but Doah was quick to exit the room before she can even utter a word of her protest.
"Cruel… So Cruel..." She mumbled in a dejected tone. "To give me a 36 hour shift just after I arrived, Sunbae is really cruel" She continued to mumble
The two residents just looked at her with pity
'we feel you…'
"Anyway enough of that, can you guys tour me around?" The woman who was just recently feeling down beamed at them.
"Y-Yeah sure, where do you want to go first?"
Hence the hospital tour started.
As soon as the tour finished Sejeong went home to rest and enjoy her break. As for Rohanne and Seju…
"So Miss First Assistant, how old are you? should I call you Unnie? Are you single? How many surgeries did you perform before?... Blah, blah, blah,blah…"
'Ugh, so annoying'
The blonde woman was asking her "sunbae" questions without pause, the vein on Seju's forehead was about to pop in annoyance and irritation
'She's so noisy, now I know why Chief called her a nuisance…'
"Wha—" Before Rohanne could even finish her next question Seju shushed her and placed her index finger on the blonde woman's lips.
"First of all I have a name, and It's Park Seju, PA.RK SE.JU … As for your que…"
As soon as Rohanne heard the name of the woman in front of her, Seju's voice faded, and her mind flashed memories like it was a scene from a movie, her eyes widened as she looked intently at the woman in front of her.
How could she not notice the resemblance, long eyelashes, long black hair, sharp Jaw, plump lips and the small mole under her left eye? How did she not remember those features? There's something missing though.
'… bright smile...'

"So you plan to go back to Korea just because you miss the place?" A woman with a blue hair asked the blonde haired woman in front of her, she was sipping from her Venti sized Pumpkin Spiced Latte that they just ordered from the drive thru.
"Yeah…" The blonde woman answered, she smiled as she remembered the woman they were talking about. "And I told you I'll be doing my residency there, I already contacted one of my previous seniors, and she told me that they're more than willing to welcome me."
"So technically you just visited your parents and then whoosh back to Korea?"
"Yeah, More or less" She answered with a shrug and a light giggle
"You didn't even stay for at least 6 months…" Rohanne took a glance at the woman beside her "you were away for almost 7 years and now you came back you're going away again"
'Did she miss me that much?' She chuckled at the thought
"How about me? Didn't you miss me?" The blue haired girl looked at Rohanne with puppy eyes, begging her to say yes.
"You? I just saw you by chance today and you just jumped in my passenger seat" Which really happened earlier, now Rohanne is forced to be with her friend for a whole day "I didn't miss you at all" She said in a teasing manner but the blue haired girl took it hardly
"After all that we've done you don't even give me a single speck of attention…" The blue haired girl sulked
Rohanne took a glance at her friend and smiled slyly.
"After all that you've done to me… you even took my—"
The blonde immediately covered her friend's mouth using her right hand and looked back and forth at her and the road to make sure that they won't crash into something.
"Ah! Ah! Stop! Stop! I did nothing of the sort! Oh My God!"
The blue haired woman tried to remove Rohanne's hands that was over her mouth but the blonde woman was much stronger than she anticipated
"mhhmm mhhhmmmm mhm"
"Shut your trap Venus! I swear if you ask me to perform a surgery on you I'll kill you during the operation"
Venus, her friend tried to remove Rohanne's hands once again and she succeeded.
"hah! I was just kidding! You can't even do it with those short fingers of yours" Venus retorted and snickered; she took a sip from her drink and then gave a mocking side eye to Rohanne.
"Excuse me I have long slender fingers that can even reach the depths of your wo—"
"Then why don't you do it?" Venus cut her off, the blonde woman knew the tone that her friend was using, and it's as if she was seducing her.
It wasn't news to Rohanne that Venus likes her. Right off the bat she knew that the blue haired woman has a thing for her when they were first introduced to each other. Venus tried and attempted to win her over, but Rohanne's heart already belongs to someone, and it's not her.
So she just settled with being friends with her, she's happy that after those confessions and attempts Rohanne was still willing to be close to her, but she was still wishing that at least at some point she will have a place in Rohanne's heart.
But looking at Rohanne's reaction right now it seems like it was still not enough to give her some small space at least.
"… Vee…"
"I was just kidding! Can't take a sexual joke?" She replied in between her heartily laugh but in reality she was hurting, masking all those hurt with a laugh.
Rohanne sighed and continued to focus on driving. It was silent for a hot minute until Venus spoke again.
"So can you tell more about that girl that captured your heart?" Venus asked it was merely out of curiosity, but also she wants to know who in the world captured the heart of Rohanne Baek.
"Captured my heart? What nonsense are you talking about?" The blonde let out a scoff and smirked
"I'm pretty sure you're not just going back to Korea just because you quote unquote miss the place. There's much more to it, you're even going as far as doing your residency there, there are many hospitals that want you here in Canada. So… who? Or why rather… why? Why do you wanna go back?"
Rohanne looked at her friend with a pretend-shock –face to mock her.
"Wow, you've improved, is University helping you to be a better person?"
"stop avoiding my question and just answer it, Baek" Venus hissed
"Well, to be honest the main reason why I want to go back to Korea is to see 'her'"
'her… who is that 'her' that she's referring to?'
When Rohanne is drunk she always tells Venus her story of how she left a girl she like in Korea because that girl liked her best friend, there was still more to that story but Rohanne always falls asleep mid-story.
If you think about it her first reason was kind of petty; just because of that she left everything – that's what Venus initially thought. But after some realization she came to a conclusion: Rohanne must really like that girl to let her go and move on from her by moving to another country.
"But does she want to see you?" Venus absentmindedly asked.
Rohanne paused for a while to ponder the question
'does she?'
She let out a soft chuckle "I don't really know…"
"You don't know? Haa… what kind of answer is that? You left her without saying a thing and now you just appear like that in front of her."
'She has a point'
To be honest she already know how 'she' would react if she sees Rohanne after a long time, Rohanne just doesn't want to admit to herself that truth.
"Well… I just wanted to see her. It doesn't really matter of she wants to see me or not, I'm just there to see her as a friend after all."
"…"
After that they both stayed silent the whole time. Rohanne dropped Venus near the University where the latter is currently studying, but before alighting the car she told Rohanne something…
"To be honest, even though you're saying that you're just seeing her as a friend it doesn't feel or even look like it. It seems like you still like her after all those years that you were away…"
Venus paused and looked at Rohanne directly into her eyes.
"Let me tell you what to do… You need to man up and swallow every pride you have in your body and tell her everything... your feelings, what were doing all those years and how you still love her…" She said with a heavy heart.
'If she still rejects you I'll fly to Korea to come and get you'
She badly wanted to say it. But she can't let herself say it.
Rohanne smiled at Venus and nodded
"By the way, my talent fee is quite high; make sure you pay tomorrow…" The blue haired woman added and then alighted the car, she then ran towards the University dorms.

And Venus was right…
As Rohanne was looking at the woman beside her, she can still feel the effect Seju has on her. Even if she deny it all she want, her heart will always betray her and beat for that woman named 'Park Seju'.
Honestly speaking Rohanne did not expect to see her sooner or later, she was just about to ask Doah about this matter, but fate really is playing with her right now…
'What kind of spell did you cast on me to be this in love with you?' Even after all those years...'
"Hey Dr. Baek? Are you listening to me?"
"Ah, I'm sorry. I was distracted by your long eyelashes" The blonde woman said in an innocent manner that made the receiving end blush. "What was your name again?"
"I-It's Park Seju…"
Seju… the name that Rohanne loved so much. The name that she couldn't stop thinking about. The name that's carved in her heart… Park Seju… The most Beautiful name that she's ever heard
"Dr. Park Seju…"
Rohanne was surprised at how smoothly Seju's name came out of her lips… And she liked it.
Once again she was back in her daze staring at Seju. She was looking intently as if she was trying to instill the woman's image in her brain and in her heart.
"You're looking more beautiful as ever…" She mumbled
"Pardon?"
Instead of uttering an answer, Rohanne unconsciously walked towards Seju and closed the gap in between them.
'I want to hug her, I want to hold her. I want to…'
"Uhm Dr. Baek?"
She was snapped back to reality when a nurse called for her
"Ah yes?" She turned around and faced the Nurse
"Here are the charts the you were asking for earlier"
"Thanks"
As soon as the nurse handed the charts to Rohanne they heard a song. Seju were quick to check her phone since that was the ringtone she was using. But she was surprised when she checked her phone it wasn't ringing.
"Sorry I have to take this call…"
She looked at the person who spoke and saw Dr. Baek speaking on her phone slowly walking away from the crowd.
'That song…'
