"Coming!" Mrs Angel said running to the door.
She opened her and to her surprise, it was her disabled son all alone.
"What are you doing outside?" She asked.
"I j-just got h-home."
"Oh. But Andy came home ten minutes ago... Did he leave you!?" She asked getting upset.
"Yes, but it w-wasn't his f-fault. I was w-with a f-f-friend and lost t-track of t-time." Asher explained.
"Oh? You're making friends?" Mrs Angel Asked with a smile.
"Do they go to Bridgeton Academy?" She asked.
Asher nodded in response.
"That's fantastic! I got an extremely good job offer but if I accept I won't be able to homeschool you anymore sooo... How about it? Do you wanna try going to public school again?" She asked a worried look on her face.
"Yes!"
"You're a little more excited than I expected. Hehe. Won't you miss mommy?" She asked with a frown.
"D-de-d-defi— Of c-course I w-will!"
"Aww! I'm going to miss you so much! If anyone ever bullies you tell me okay?"
"O-okay."
"Now hug me! Even though you're all grown up you're still my baby boy!"
"Tch. That attention whore. Acting like a little kid to get her attention." Mr Hunter, Andy's father and Asher's stepfather stated annoyed.
"He is really annoying. He's also a major snitch and always gets me in trouble," Andy added.
"Yeah, it makes me sick to see a teenager actually act like that!"
"What're you boys talking about?" Amy asked wheeling her son into the kitchen.
"Nothing of importance honey." Mr Hunter said with the fakest smile.
"Okay."
"I'll make dinner while you boys can have some bonding time." Mrs Angel said leaving the room.
"I'm g-going to go to my r-room."
"No one here cares," Andy responded.
"You should've died in that accident." Damien Hunter added.
"That's a bit...harsh," Andy commented.
"Why do you care about him or something ?"
"No," Andy replied.
Asher ignored them and went upstairs using one of the many modifications his mother added to make his life easier. When he arrived in his room he put on his headset and started loading up Fantasy Online.
Once loaded he realized he had a new notification which was a first for him since it wasn't an update on the game but a friend request from Krazy Cupcakes.
'She actually sent a friend request and she's online right now. I should probably accept the friend request and remove my phone number from my description.'
Krazy Cupcakes: "Hi, Immortal Loser!"
"Hi. I'm really regretting that name now when I wrote that I wasn't expecting anyone to actually call me that."
Krazy Cupcakes: "Oh. Hehe. Then how about I call you something else. Anything in mind?"
"How about Ash?"
Krazy Cupcakes: "Is that your real name?"
Ash: "Yes."
Krazy Cupcakes: "You really shouldn't give strangers your real name on online games even if you add them as a friend."
Ash: "I know. I just trust you for some reason."
Krazy Cupcakes: "It's only fair you give me a nickname too so what's it gonna be?"
Ash: "How about KC since your username's initials?"
KC: "Omg! That's the best nickname I've ever had!"
Ash: "Haha. You're welcome so... Do you wanna play together?"
KC: "Yeah but I need five minutes to get ready is that okay?"
Ash: "Absolutely. I'll just use that time as a bathroom break. See ya in five minutes."
'Whoa... I'm actually about to play a game with a friend!!!!! Yay!!!!! And she's a girl!! This is definitely the best day of my life. Hopefully, I can type fast enough without making mistakes. I want to but I can't because of my dumb stutter!'
~Flashback~
"Do you have a speech impediment?" Katelyn asked noticing he kept stuttering.
"Y-yes..." He answered hesitantly.
'Here it comes. Here's where she gets disgusted and leaves me alone like everyone else...' Asher predicted based on past experiences.
"...It's actually pretty cute." She said with a cute smile.
"W-what!?" He asked shocked.
"I think your voice is cute and your stutter makes it cuter." She explained then smiled again.
~Flashback End~
Asher blushed remembering what Katelyn said.
'I still don't understand how she can say stuff like that and not get embarrassed. Anyways, the chances of that happening again are pretty low so I won't even try it. I'll still use to my good friend the text to speech translator.'
(Author's note: I was going to include little game scenes of them playing together but I realized that they made the story way longer than it has to be so I didn't add them but I was too lazy to remove this one so enjoy I guess. Also Wattpad had some features this doesn't so this looks a bit more cringy)
KC: "I'm back are you ready?"
Ash: "Yeah, I'll join the game now."
KC: "Okay me too."
After that, they joined the game then entered the game and started chatting together in chat.
KrazyCupcakes: "Hi~"
Immortal Loser: "Hello. What should we do?"
KrazyCupcakes: "There's an event going on now and it doesn't end until next month. Let's try that. It should be fun plus I heard that the prizes are good."
Immortal Loser: "Okay, Let's do it."
KrazyCupcakes: "First we need to make a party. Since you're higher level I think you should."
Immortal Loser: "Okay."
*A party has between Immortal_Loser and Krazy_Cupcakes*
KC: "Now we can chat privately and use nicknames.
Ash: "Cool"
KC: "Let's go now."
KC: "It's quite far from here though and there are a few quests on the way there should we do them along the way?"
Ash: "Sure, why not. Let's get going now since you said it was far."
KC: "Okay. I really like your character."
Ash: "I like yours too. She's really cute and pretty."
KC: "Thank you. I tried my best to make her as cute as possible while also being as strong as possible."
Ash: "Really?"
KC: "Yeah, it was tough since most of the cute stuff are low-level items."
Ash: "I see. Why'd you choose such a revealing outfit?"
KC: "You mean my Dragon Scale armour?"
Ash: "That's armour!? It barely covers anything."
KC: "I know right? They are level 200 items though. They are fantastic at protecting me plus they give buffs."
Ash: "The logic in this game is insane. How'd you get your hands on those if your only level 78?"
KC: "I was in a high-level party because they all had better armour they gave them to me."
Ash: "How'd you get into a party like that?"
KC: "They needed another person for Easter Tournament and I was the only one who wanted to join."
Ash: "Then why aren't you with them?"
KC: "Like I said they only needed me for the tournament so I was going to be kicked out anyway."
Ash: "So what? Did you guys win?"
KC: "I don't know. Some powerful girl came around and wanted to join a week before the tournament and I was kicked out..."
KC: "Oh... Look! There's a quest NPC!"
"Help I've lost my puppies! They are lost in the maze of deceptions! Oh, kind travellers, will you help me find my seven lost puppies?" Villager Annie the NPC pleaded.
KC: "Of course we'll help those poor puppies!!!"
"Yay! Please be careful. There are a lot of illusioners in there they'll play mind tricks on you. Please stay safe don't get tricked and bring back my puppies for me. I won't be able to face my parents and friends again if I don't get them back." Villager Anne said with a smile.
Ash: "No problem little girl. We'll get them back for you."
"Thank you!" Villager Anne said.
KC: "I wonder what type of illusions we'll see."
Ash: "I'm hoping we don't see any."
KC: "That'd be boring! I want a challenge!"
Ash: "Why if that challenge gets us killed?"
KC: "Oh, don't be pessimistic what could possibly go wrong?"
Ash: "...How about that?"
KC: "Why'd I have to go and say that?"
