Chapter 4 - Witch Doctor[Chapter 2: Part 2]

Mr. Brook was doing some standard examination on Jay, and the student pair was talking excitedly. Kaya found out that he was actually fascinating and not as gloomy as he seemed in the class. "So what class do you have next?" She asked, wondering if they could talk more after this. "I have...biology, I think...?" Jay said, muttering the last part, and then Mr. Brook yanked on his arm slightly. "Stay still." He commanded in annoyance. "Fine, fine, I'm trying." Brook glared at him while Jay talked and tightened some gauze on his arm as he said, "don't try. Do."

Jay rolled his eyes slightly as the cranky doctor and Kaya giggled slightly at the exchange. "Mr. Brook, don't be so mean to your number one patient." Jay huffed, and the man glared. "That's why I'm trying to get you out!" Mr. Brook exclaimed before sighing deeply, "you kids are killing my sanity..."

After Mr. Brook patched up, Jay, Kaya, and Jay left. Jay was humming quietly before he waved as he and Kaya parted with the other. Sadly they both had other classes and couldn't talk more which sucked. Kaya walked down the hall down the way they came, luckily her class was closer to the nurse's office than Jay's. She lightly knocked on the door that was her first period class and she patiently waited there. The door was opened by a short woman- well shorter than Ms. Adair but still taller than 5'8 Kaya.

"Hello?" The teacher looked down at the girl with a bit of confusion. "Did you need something?" Kaya felt the usual fear of interacting with other people and fidgeted slightly. "Uh yes..." She handed over the pass and the woman looked over it then smiled at her.

"Oh hello! You must be the new student, I'm Ms. Dulcis!" Ms. Dulcis said cheerily as she clapped her hands together. "Y-yeah I'm Kaya Aria." She stuttered rubbing a hand down her arms, Mrs. Dulcis smiled and moved to the side to let her come in. "Thank you..." Kaya murmured shuffling into the classroom.

She noticed how a few people looked up when she came in but then quickly went back to their work, she went to a seat that was in the middle where very few people were. She quickly took out her English book and a pencil, luckily it was just a review period so she didn't have to do much for now.

She tilted her head to the window and that was the biggest mistake she could make in her highschool career because she then spaced out for a few minutes before the sound of Mrs. Dulcis voice snapped her back to attention. She inattentively listened to the speech before she sighed, she just had to make it through the day.
