Kaya never thought her classes could be more boring, she was three minute away from sleeping. She sighed as she sat there and sat up in her seat to wake herself up before she felt the small vibration of her phone in her pocket. It was from her childhood friend; Zach.
She scoffed as she read the text, she glanced up to the teacher before writing back. She got an instant reply and she snorted quietly. She just happened to glance up and see the teacher coming towards her.
She tensed and stuffed her phone inside her desk and pulled out a book she had from earlier onto her lap so that she could make it seem like she was reading instead of doing her work, which was infinitely better than on her phone and not doing work. She tried not to flinch as her teacher stopped in front of her and cleared her throat.
"Ms...Aria. Your phone." She glared down at the girl. "U-uh...it's just a book." Kaya carefully raised the book before she glanced at the cover, shit it was her favorite. Ms. Harris narrowed her eyes and she sweeped her eyes over Kaya's lap. Ms. Harris lips thinned as she pressed them together and she snatched the book from Kaya's grasp.
"Get back to work." Kaya huffed before gripping her pencil again. "History is sooo fun." She murmured under her breath before Ms. Harris whipped around and glared. Kaya flinched and looked back down to her paper, Jesus.
