A WEEK LATER....
Megan left the gathering organised by TJ's family because she was feeling akward due to the open stares she was receiving although no one was saying anything mean to her but their eyes and fake smile told her , how they viewed and see her.
She walked out of the house straight into the garden where she sat down at the edge of the fountain.She close her eyes and breathe in deeply feeling the stress leaving her body .
Although she never wish to come to the gathering but she didn't have a choice but to attend just to keep up appearance.
Megan thought back to her teenager years when she got along well with the Macallans it was one of the best times of her life but now things have become akward between them like there was a huge elephant in the room which everyone tries not to address except for Melissa her past best friend who always made snide comments to her anytime she sees her like calling her a slut, gold digger, a two timer etcetera which hurts her every time.
Sitting by the edge of the fountain have always been her spot whenever they visit TJ's family just to be free from all this. She turned her head as she heard footsteps coming closed to where she is just few minutes of sitting down.
She saw Melissa with a glass of wine in hand walking close to her which made her quickly stand up knowing that her coming won't be good except to find trouble.
" You got what you wanted , right?", She asked Megan coming closed to her which made her back away slowly.
" I don't understand what you mean?", Megan said looking at her with innocent eyes which made her scoff wondering who she is pretending for as if she don't know her.
"You got married to him after all you did", she stated one hand on her hips the other held the glass of wine.
" Mel please don't start" she said tears gathering in her eyes.
" Oh! Please, you want to cry?" Melissa asked as she noticed her teary eyes which pissed her off the more.
" Anyone who sees you will think , you are innocent but you ain't just a wolf in sheep's clothing" she said to her. Megan gasp as she threw the wine at her face.
" You trash" Mel said and walk out on her.
Megan searched inside her hand bag for tissue which she used to wipe her face although some of the wine got to her dress.
She was not surprised at Melissa's attitude because she has always being abusive but this was the first time she threw wine at her.
"Meg,Meg" she heard Tj calling her name and she quickly walk to him.
" I am here" she replied as she gets close to him.
" Let's go home" he said moving back into the house without waiting for her reply.
She quicken her steps to match up to the long strides he was taking. By the time she says good bye to his mother who didn't really reply her back with enthusiasm and grab her coat he was already out of the door.
She had to run out to meet him as he was already inside the car.
"Am sorry for the delay " she apologized as she sat down in the car ensuring there was space between them as he hate to be close to her which he had told her right from the onset.
His only reply was to look at her without any expression.
He knock on the car twice so the driver can move.
The drive home was silent as always, Megan closed her eyes pretending to be sleeping until the car stopped signifying that they were at home after an hour drive which felt like forever.
They both alight from the car, walk inside and they walked into their separate rooms without saying any word to each other .
As she got into her room she heaved a huge sigh and sat down on her dresser .
She felt tired and drained. She slowly removed the pins which she used in decorating her hair, then undress took a shower and went to bed.
Lying down on the bed, Meg thought about her dream of an ideal marriage which she knew will never come to pass.
She had always dreamt of marrying for love and she has always dreamt of only one man TJ who she had loved with passion.
From her teenage years till when she was twenty when her dreams had been shattered, she has always doodle his name on all her books because to her....he was prince charming.
They had been together from when she was seventeen till she was twenty when he caught her in bed with Andre .
They had shared their thoughts and plans with each other while girls her age during prom lost their virginity, she had asked TJ to wait till they were married before they could have sex.
Not that she was a prude as they have done all the other deeds except sex but it was never an issue for them.
While people where speculating on why he married her she wasn't because she knew.
Thorne Jordan Macallan married her because of revenge he wanted her to be sad in his exact words

Truly, she knew her family who hate her for what she did to him because they loved him like a their son and when they heard he asked her to marry him .
They told her to be grateful to him and treat him well without knowing she will never had given in to him even though she loved him if not because the help she requested from him.
Before her marriage to TJ , her family and her have not been on friendly terms but now they communicate a little better than before.
