Chapter 18 - Chapter Fifteen

Hera was restless in her room. She was just looking at her son and did not know if she would believe Demeter or not.

"I mean, how can a baby do that to her?"

She approached her son and backed away when his eyes suddenly turned red and immediately returned to it's former color. She rubbed her eyes and convinced herself that she was just imagining things. Zeus did not include her in the meeting because she had to watch over their son. She was also instructed not to let anyone watch over their son so that no one will ever get hurt again.

She wanted to talk to Demeter but the goddess seemed angry with her. It was just based on her face earlier when she did not believe what she said.

"I want to know the truth but I don't know where I am going."

She peeked at her son who was fast asleep and immediately left her room. She needs to know everything.

Demeter burst into Hestia's room and did not found her sister there.

"Where's that girl?"

She left the palace and went to the garden and there she saw her sister. She was with a man she had never met. She approached the two and the man with Hestia was shocked by her appearance. Hestia also examined her body. She has not cleaned herself yet because she was looking for Hestia the whole day.

"What happened to you? You look like a bride that killed thousands of people."

"That's not even funny Hestia. Who's this guy?"

Hestia approached Demeter and introduced Alexander.

"Meet the sorcerer's son, Alexander. He came over to hand me this."

Hestia showed a bottle full of red liquid.

"Is that blood?"

Hestia nodded and looked at Alexander. The young man bowed and said goodbye.

"I need to leave. Don't forget your mission. I hope you succeed."

The young man left quickly because Zeus might still see him. Hestia, on the other hand, rushed Demeter to her room to treat her wounds.

"What do you think you're doing in your life and you suddenly had this so mmany bruises. I'm not a nurse Demeter."

"I didn't asked you to treat my wounds. You're the one who volunteered. There's a difference Hestia."

Hestia suddenly pressed the handkerchief she was wiping on Demeter's wound so the goddess suddenly cried out in pain.

"That hurts!"

"I know."

"You're such a—"

"Shut up."

Demeter kept quiet because Hestia might do it to her again. She just let her sister treat her wounds. After Hestia healed her wounds the goddess stood up and took the bottle that Alexander had given her earlier. Demeter was filled with curiosity with the bottle contained blood so she asked his sister what it would be used for.

"This will serve as a trap to Hera and Zeus' son. I know you already knew what that child looks like."

Demeter remembered the boy's appearance when he changed form. Long fangs that she had only seen in her entire life. That is not normal for ordinary vampires so she is sure that that child will not just be killed with a dagger. They need a weapon that can be used against the child. All they have now is a trap and that is not enough.

"He's a vampire. A not so ordinary vampire."

"You're right. This would not happen to you if he's ordinary. He is one of the strongest race of vampires. That generation is on the verge of extinction and I know they are celebrating now because they have a newborn offspring so he must disappear from this world as early as possible."
