When Hera made sure Zeus was asleep, she slowly left their bed. She put on her cloak and left the palace with her horse. It was so late when she left the palace. She doesn't want anyone to know where she's going.
"I need to know the truth."
Zeus woke up and panicked as soon as he did not see Hera next to him. He immediately got up and looked for his wife. He left their room and left the palace thinking that Hera was in the garden ventilating but he did not find anyone there. He was suddenly nervous of a place he remembered.
"No, no. She's not going there. Damn it!"
He hurried back to their room and asked their maid to watch over his son. He then left with his horse and followed Hera.
"She shouldn't know the truth or else she'll leave me forever."
Hera arrived at the sorcerer's house and immediately slammed the door. She only wants one thing tonight and that is to know everything.
"Open the door!"
"I want to know everything! Open this door damn it!"
A few minutes later, the door finally opened and the sorcerer was shocked to see Hera in front of her.
"Our queen, what are you doing here? It's not safe to go out this late."
"You know why I'm here. Now tell me, what did you do?"
The sorcerer could not speak. She did not think that it would be to the point that Hera herself would ask what Zeus did to her.
"Have a seat first. You look—"
"Tell me everything! Or else I'll kill you right where you're standing."
Out of fear the sorcerer said everything he did for Zeus. From the moment he asked for a potion for Hera to love him. Hera could not believe what she heard. When because of what the sorcerer said, Hera suddenly left on her horse. The sorcerer got on her knees and cried.
"I'm sorry for what I've done Hera. I'm really sorry."
Zeus was close to the sorcerer's house when he caught up with Hera who was returning. He was suddenly nervous when Hera stopped in front of him and got off her horse.
"My love, I—"
Zeus grabbed his cheek when Hera suddenly slapped him. He slowly turned his gaze back to Hera and saw her crying. When he saw her that way, it was as if his heart has been crushed and broken into millions upon millions of pieces.
"How can you do this to me? I'm your sister and you dared to do this?"
"My love, let me explain—"
Zeus stopped when Hera suddenly withdrew as soon as he could have hugged her.
"You already know the truth."
Hera smiled bitterly.
"If I hadn't gone to the sorcerer I wouldn't have known it all. You made me a toy Zeus!"
"I only did that because I love you so much Hera!"
"If you love me you will let me go."
Zeus was silent at what he heard.
"What did you just said?"
"Let me go."
"No. I won't let you go! I will hold you until I lose my breath."
Zeus wept and knelt in front of his wife. He looked up and begged.
"Please my love. Don't leave me. I don't know what will happen to me when you leave my side."
Hera looked at him cold and emotionless. The goddess caressed his face and forcedly removed Zeus' hand that was holding her. He got back on his horse and climbed on it.
"Stand up."
Zeus did not leave his post. He was still on his knees and begging Hera.
"I will not leave here until you forgive me."
Hera smiled.
"Then don't but I'm sorry to tell you this."
Hera removed her ring and threw it at Zeus. The god stared as he looked at the ring that Hera had thrown.
"Hera no—"
"We're done."
Hera left leaving Zeus crying and broken. She was startled when thunder and lightning suddenly flashed the night sky.
"I'm sorry, my love."
