Sean looked at the woman who had eagerness abound in her eyes. Smiling he recounted how he started Mystycs as a real estate management company then used profits to build from there, acquiring companies along the way until one day he was viewed as one of the major players in the world. Sara listened intently and when Sean finished she asked, "you did that all off 50 thousand?" Her question made Sean laugh before he responded, "No, a man helped my dad build the school and he helped finance it with donations for years. When I started Mystycs he gave me a 2 million dollar loan." Sara was shocked when she heard that someone trusted him with that much money that young, but was still intriguedas Sean continued, "That man was Jonathan Hughes. The founder of Hughes Investment. When he passed a few years ago he left me his company. He was the first person other than my closest employees to know who the owner of Dearborn was."
"What about Kimberly? She's a Henson but she knew who you were." Sean smiled, "Kimberly is a few years older than me but she was working for a European shipping company I acquired. When I saw her talents on full display, I promoted her gradually and she always returned with huge profits. Eventually she learned who I was but also knew the story of what Marcos did. She never divulged who I was to Marcos due to the fact I kept her hidden from him. Had he found out about her position in the company, he probably would've tried to exploit it for his own gain." Sara nodded in understanding, thinking about something as Sean stood up before saying,"it's getting late we shouldn't stay here after dark." Sara nodded as they packed up and headed back to the car.
After driving back to the mansion, as they pulled in, Sean suddenly yelled," Shit!" Sara looked at him puzzled before Sean sighed, " my parents are here and another stroke of luck they probably brought my grandmother." Sara was stunned that her in-laws were here, but noticed the strange car parked in the drive and figured out Sean instantly recognized it. She took a deep breath before asking,"Why don't you want to see them?" Sean shook his head," It's not that I don't want to see them, but they showed up unannounced. I was planning on taking you to meet them this weekend but that plans shot." Sara laughed out heartily at Sean's words," For an amazing businessman your plans seem to be ruined a lot lately." Sean scowled at her words, which caused her to laugh even more as they exited the car. "If you think teasing me is funny, I will get my retribution." Sean stated at the woman who responded in turn," Oh is that a challenge Mr. All my plans are ruined?" Sara stuck her tongue out at Sean before smiling at him. "Why you little..." Sean said before grabbing Sara and picking her up bridal style. Little did the couple know, as they were too busy teasing each other outside, that every action was being watched by a group of people inside the mansion.
When the couple entered the house, Sean was still carrying Sara when they entered the main living room. Sean was busy smiling at the woman in his arms when suddenly a cough was heard. Both Sean and Sara snapped back to reality to see 4 people looking at them with 3 of them having puzzled looks on their face. Sean spoke first, as he set Sara down on her feet, "Mom, Dad, Monica, Grandmother while I enjoy seeing all of you why are you in my house." The oldest woman in the room spoke first, "Why you brat. If we didn't call you to the family council how long would you have kept the fact your were married from us. Do you know how long I've been waiting for this. Now come here lady let me get a good look at you." Sara smiled at the lady scolding Sean as she walked over. "Hmm good body, she's smart, Harvard taught, absolutely gorgeous. Now miss answer me one question, what on earth did that ice block do to make you say yes." The old lady said sternly before a big smile appeared on her face. Sara laughed, as she heard the woman's final words. However to everyone around her, Sara's laugh seemed to bring a ray of sunshine into the room. Especially when Monica tugged the arm of the middle age woman and pointed at Sean, who was smiling brightly at the laughing woman.
The middle aged couple walked over to Sara smiling as the man shook her hand, "my name is David and this is Dawn my wife. We hope our son doesn't treat you badly." Before Sara could respond the woman immediately embraced Sara in a tight hug as she began to cry. "God you do exist. Finally someone to take car of my son." The woman began to sob in her hug with Sara, who was stunned. Sara returned the hug patting the back of the woman, "There's no need to cry mom. I'll take good care of him." The woman stopped crying hearing Sara's words before she pulled back smiling at Sara, "what did you call me?" Sara was stunned before she responded,"mom?" Suddenly Sara was embraced in a tighter hug as David walked over to talk to Sean. After the hug Sean led everyone to the dining room to eat.
Everyone paused as they noticed that Sean had yet to take a bite. They all watched as he was busy cutting the steak in front of him then switched his plate with Sara's. They all were stunned by his action, as he was distant to everyone including his own family. However his action brought a warm feeling to Sara as she smiled at him. After dinner they all gathered in the living room with the fire and were drinking wine. David spoke first, "So Sean, as the Owner of Dearborn you have to give your wife a wedding. Many won't believe the news even if you put it out officially. So what are your plans, we can't let her suffer." Sean smiled at the woman leaning on his chest before looking at his father, "Whatever she wishes." Dawn spoke up next, "Sara, darling. When you're ready to plan it let me and Monica know and we'll help you out ok." Sara smiled as everyone seemed to accept her as Sean's wife. 'What happened to the myth of evil in-laws in rich families?' Sara thought before Grandma snorted at the conversation. "I don't care about the wedding. They're already married. What I want to know is when are my great grand babies coming?" Her words caused Sara to blush and Sean to laugh. Sean looked at his grandmother, "whenever she wants." Shortly after the conversation went about how they met and life before Sara fell asleep in Sean's arms. As everyone realized that she fell asleep they all said goodbye to the couple with grandma being the last to leave, but left some parting words that made Sean think for a long time, "You must protect her diligently. I heard Mr. Carmichael is in town. If he finds out who her parents are then you'll have a fight on your hands."
