"He did what!? And you went where!? Gaichū, you said you'd never go to parties again!" Akari screamed, squeezing her coffee cup tighter with each yell. Ren placed his hands out slowly pushing them down in the air "Aki! Shh! Please, you're going to get us kicked out of here! And It's my favorite shop!" He whispers, looking around and softly handing out apologies to the surrounding customers before turning back to Akari, "I told you what happened Aki, Mazuko showed up, it went to shit, and Kane saved me again." Akari placed her hands over her eyes, groaning in frustration "No, no I get that. What I don't get, you said you'd never go back to a party? Why go this time?" Ren shrugged, "I-I don't know. Kane asked me if I wanted to go, and I ended up getting ready before I even knew what was going on. Akari, he doesn't treat me like a broken kid. I think that's why I went, to have a little normalcy that I won't get anywhere else.." Akari gasped lowly "I don't treat you like that Gaichū! I-!" Ren put his hand up slowly stopping her mid-sentence "Yes, you do. But, that's okay. I do need someone to understand what's going on with me who I can go to when things get rough, so I'm not complaining." Ren shuddered as he spoke, why was he always this cold? "It's just from everyone else? From people who shouldn't know, but somehow do, that treat me like a foreign object, like I'll break if you say the wrong thing. Kane, somehow doesn't know about me, nothing at all that I haven't told him myself, so he treats me like nothing is fucked up with me, and I like that." He smiled, Ren slightly turned his cappuccino on the table, a nervous habit he's picked up over the years, "I- haah, alright I understand. I'm sorry you felt I treated you different Gaichū, but you should have said something." Ren shook his head, "you don't treat me that much different from when we were kids. You've always had the motherly aura to you, your just a little more cautious around me and a little more overprotective than you used to be. But if the roles were reversed, and you were in my position. I'd do the same thing, so I wasn't complaining about you Aki. Not at all." Ren smiled, though that light never reached his eyes. Akari nodded slowly, as she used her fingers to brush her white hair. "When are you gonna stop dying your hair white? Your black hair fits you fine." Ren questioned, taking a sip of his cappuccino. Akari laughed "When are you gonna stop dying your hair Green? Your copper hair was beautiful." He shrugged, "Touchè, Touchè."
"Bye Ren, call me later?" Akari yelled as she walked away from Ren, nodding as he walked backward waving to her "Definitely Aki! I'll call you later!" He turned around chuckling under his breath. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he slowly walked down the pavement towards his dorm. It was the holiday weekend, so most of everyone went home, though Ren never did, see Ren loved his mother, but there was so much guilt he bore and so much pain he thought he caused her, there was no way he was ready to see her right now, not yet. He was afraid to look her in the eyes, afraid of what her eyes could show towards him, would the show malice? Or would they show love and understanding? Pulling his headphones out again, placing them in his ears, and pressing play, a soft melodic piano starts to play. Humming the beat, perfectly as a violin and cello join in the soft melody. Ren loved music, but he preferred instrumental over lyrical. The sun had started setting, leaving a soft amber glow to his surroundings. The music seemed to fit the fall aesthetic he was engorging in. Orange and Red leave falling from the treetops swirling prettily in the wind as they fell to the ground, the smell of pumpkin spice everything, fall decorations littering the storefronts with orange lights, pumpkins, and decor for the upcoming holiday, Halloween. Stopping off at a scenic park, sitting on a bench placed in the middle of the park, He wanted just a few more minutes in the blissful beauty. A few more minutes before he shut himself in his room for the long holiday, just a few more minutes of quiet winds blowing. Closing his eyes, he breathed in the air, picking up on the pumpkin spice scents lingering around the area. With a strong hand pressing into his shoulder, Ren jumped, pulling the headphones out of his ears, twisting around to face the bench as he stood. "Woah, hey, hey Chīsai, it's me. I'm sorry, I didn't wanna scare you, but I called your name at least five times and you didn't answer." Kane smiled, raising his hands defensively against his shoulders. "Fuckin 'ey! Are you trying to kill me, Kane?" Ren's shoulders visibly relaxed as his eyes landed on Kane, his eyes scanned over every part of his body he could see. An army green coat buttoned at the front, a black V-neck underneath, accompanied by a pair of ripped army green jeans with brown boots, So handsome, "Chīsai? You okay, you zoned out again.." Ren shook his head, pulling his eyes to meet Kane's luscious crimsons. "Uh, yeah I'm fine! Sorry about that." Ren chuckled running his fingers through the back of his hair. Kane laughed, a big, beautiful, bolstering laugh, and Ren smiled. He loved this side of Kane, he could laugh without a care in the world, so freely. Ren envied that. "You sure space out a lot huh?" Ren nodded, pulling his hand from his head, entangling his fingers together "Uh- yeah, I-I do. Sorry." Kane watched him. He noticed how Chīsai would shut down when asked a simple question, He had a wonderful personality, though it could change at the drop of a hat. One minute he could be loving and sweet, the next he could be angry and hateful and he was all around shy. Kane reached out to grab his hands, pulling his ice-cold hands into his warm ones, "Hey, don't shut down on me Chīsai. I didn't mean it in a bad way. It's just who you are, and I think it's perfect." Kane stated, looking onto his blushing face. Letting go of his shoulder, Kane dropped his hand next to his side, placing his hand in his pocket. "Are you heading to the dorms?" Ren nodded, "Yeah. Are you? I thought you were going home." Kane fiddled with the inside of his coat pocket nervously, "That was the plan. But, something happened and now I can't go home this year." Truthfully Kane was packed and ready to go home, he loved his family, his older sister was kind and understand but a bit of a klutz, and his parents were kind, yet the could be judgmental about certain things, they are religious and have a very strong belief system. As he was heading out to the door of his room to go home, he received a call from his sister warning him not to. She accidentally let it slip he was interested romantically in a male, and his parents lost it. He could hear them screaming incoherent slurs and demeaning names. Kane slightly dropped his eyes to the ground, as his eyes glazed over with tears again today "Oh, I'm sorry. It seems something awful happened." Kane wiped his eyes and faked a smile as he quirked his brow, "What makes you say that?" Ren walked over to Kane, gripping his waist pulling him into a hug. Squeezing tightly before releasing a bit pulling his head up to look at Kane, "Your smile... it's fake. And you were literally almost crying a second ago. Which you normally would never do. You have only two emotions Angry and Happy. So What's wrong?" Kane stared down at the greenette, eyes wide from shock, what the hell. He could tell? "I-I don't think I'm ready to talk about it. But maybe soon. Okay?" Ren nodded, pulling him back into a hug, "Yeah I understand. Tell me when you're ready." Kane wrapped his arms around his waist, nuzzling his nose into his neck, Peaches mixed with Strawberries. How does he smell so delicious? "Kai? Are you okay? You're digging your nose into my neck." Ren giggled as he pulled tighter "Yeah-Yeah I'm good, you just smell so delicious." Ren gasped under his breath, "Y-you think I smell d-delicious? That's kind of a weird thing to say, Kai." Ren tried to play it off, he tried so hard to hide his blush that was wrapping its self onto his cheeks, Kane sighed "Maybe So Chīsai, but it's true. You always smell so delicious. Makes me wanna eat you up." He chuckled, Ren broke the hug forcing Kane to let go "Eat me up?-" Ren chuckled "Careful people might make assumptions." Kane groaned, letting go of his waist, grabbing his hand tugging him to follow as they made their way to the dorms.
Hands are still intertwined with no sounds between them. They were so far from the dorms, but the walk there seemed to shorten a matter of minutes into seconds. All too soon, Walking Ren to his dorm. "Well, I guess I'll see you later?" Kane nodded, watching Ren fumble with his keys to unlock his door. Kane was studying him, watching the way his hips would sway from one said to the other, watching his green hair bounce as he moved, and his tiny waist. Ren entered the key to his room, readying himself to turn around to say goodbye. Though before he could, a hand was slammed onto his door beside his head, one hand on his waist gripping lightly. "You know. To answer your statement earlier-" Kane put his lips next to his ear, slow, hot breathing causing Ren to shiver, a blush tinting his cheeks. "I don't give a fuck what anyone would think. I would eat you up, with no regret and no one could tell me anything fucking different." Kane nuzzled his way back into his neck. Tempted, he was so tempted to kiss on his milky, skin. But he pulled away. Freeing Ren from the cage he was put in. Kane wore blush on his cheeks, stupid fucking idiot. Why would you do that., Kane tried to smile sweetly, but Ren could see the hurt in his face as he reached a hand to ruffle his green hair. "I'll see you later Ren." Ren was speechless, he couldn't say what he wanted, wait, don't go, me too, he was astonished anyone would want that with him. No, no one could. "Kane likes to tease me. That's all that is.." Ren hung his head low, walking into his dorm and flopping onto his bed. Ren teared up, facing down into his pillow, clenching the pillow as he softly sobbing as he mumbled his therapeutic sentence on repeat.
