Hearing his words, Sano signed the contract, and of course, he didn't forget to read the whole thing to make sure the wicked devil won't pull anything unexpected.
As he finished his work, Mephisto pointed his long-nailed finger at the new apparent gate, instructing, "You will go through this path to reach a random realm, and from there, you can switch between domains as you gain powers, and collect items,"
Before entering, Sano asked one last question, "Can I switch between realms before becoming a champion in one of them?"
"Of course, but be aware not to get detected by the universal law, or according to other worlds, "Heaven,"
"I understand," he chimed and jumped straight to the long snake-like rift.
The road wasn't lenient; traveling between realms was painful for Sano's soul; however, it wasn't long before he could hear his new body faint heartbeats, slowly regaining consciousness.
Opening his eyes, he expected to feel the heat coming from the energetic circulating blood inside his veins and the vigorous healthy heartbeats. Still, the only feeling that hit his body was painfulness, plenty of it.
«What the heck?» He mentally shrieked and checked the source of the discomfort to understand his current body circumstances.
His bones were demolished, and blood seeped from his nose and mouth like a fountain.
Apparently, he got reincarnated inside the body of some injured fourteen years old punk; his body was laid down in the ground, in a rocky environment, inside of a tunnel underground.
Without a reminder, he tried to search inside his memories for a logical answer to his critical condition.
The previous owner of this body was named Vhan Carlos, a slave from the slums; his parents were both aristocrats, but their downfall came fast after they sided with the commoner's faction leaving the mighty Royal Family Golden wings.
Contrary to their expectations, after getting stripped of the noble titles and getting tossed to the streets, the commoners that they supposedly protected and sought for their rights also abandoned them; struggling even to feed themselves, they tried to get regular jobs, but the mine was the only place that accepted such "fugitives."
Their luck deteriorated even more, and after having Vhan, the father died from overworking while the mother passed away from flying debris.
«Leaving me to face the life of a slave, huh!? Such an unlucky start!» Sano thought, as his whole body was writhed in agony, he felt like his skin heavily spasms like an army of ants continuously crawled between it and the muscles.
Vhan's luck wasn't strictly better than his parents either; he got betrayed by what he considered to be his friends after finding a rare orb during his daily digging routine, resulting in a ruthless beating;
They only stopped after making sure that they left him on the brink of death and threw him far from the guards' eyes.
Sano spat blood and almost threw up his organs, blindly reaching to the bottle tied to his waist, grabbed it, and gulped down the rest of its content; his other hand held something soft and round.
It was none other than his most valuable treasure, the black eye.
"Well, let's finish this masterpiece, shall we," he sarcastically murmured, using what left of his strength to dig his fingers deep inside of his eye as another stream of blood gushed through the new injury, but the pain that was coming from it, didn't amount to anything, considering his smashed legs, and shattered ribs.
Working fast, he hurled the eye away and again dug his finger inside his now-empty eye socket, but this time, he was searching for the cord to link it with the black eye.
His fingers wandered, making squishy noises that can make an ordinary person shiver, as gore spilled before finally finding the cord and leading it up using two fingers towards the black eye.
Instantly, the eye felt the foreign object touching its surface and rapidly attached itself to it, as it positioned perfectly inside to the point that it looked like it's the actual original. While The other was just a cheap counterfeit.
A voice reverberated in his ears:
[ Ding*

(A/N: Marlock doesn't exist, the whole theology also doesn't exist, Some is real, and some is made up)
His goal was evident as the sun; nevertheless, the privilege was very advantageous to him, but the only problem right now is how he could survive the night, considering his fatal wounds.
Sano collected his thoughts as he proceeded to study the situation, "From Vhan memories, a slave is considered lower than a hunting dog, guards won't even bother searching for me, also screaming for help wouldn't be ideal since I can tell I got thrown in a relatively remote place from the camp,"
He was currently in the Southern tunnels, the home of one of the most dangerous creatures in the mines, the giant jet ants.
Unlike typical ants that humans mindlessly used to step on back home, each adult jet ant size is between four-five feet in height and several meters in length. They are characterized by the sharp mandible that can tear rocks like butter. This creature primarily food is worms, but of course, they won't mind having a human for dinner from time to time.
The law is completely reversed in this world; mythical creatures were an everyday sight for the people in Astoras, while magic can be practiced and taught but only for the nobles and the fortunate kids who possess great aptitudes.
Sano heavily sighed, crawling till he reached the wall, and started shaping a plan to survive.
