Chapter 59 - Unwell

One year has now passed. Shoto and I made a lot of progress not only in our relationship, but also in our hero world. We lived in a average two bedroom one bathroom apartment, it may sound small, but it's all we need for two people after all. We were married now, and the wedding went great. I think I could say that my wedding day was the best day of my life.

Me and Shoto were also known as the lovers duo. The world seemed to like the idea of a young husband and wife being pro hero's together, so we definitely had our own fan base. We weren't very popular yet since our class just started the hero rankings, but we were climbing fast to the top, it's a race to see which one of class As members would become the #1 hero first. We all liked to think of it as a challenge. Our class was and still is very competitive after all.

It was an average Tuesday morning, we still had the problem with the league of villains. We were always able to catch some of there members, but it just seems that there organization never stops accepting new powerful people.

I was walking through a small town patrolling the streets when someone tapped me on the shoulder behind me. I slightly jumped since the sudden touch startled me, then I turned around to see who it was.

"Oh hey Momo." We all pretty much called each other by our first names now since we've known each other for years. Me and Momo were also still on good terms. Her and surprisingly Katsuki out of all people seemed to be getting along.

"Hey (y/n), I just seen you walking and thought I'd say hi! So, how've you been?" She asked while walking down the street with me.

"I've been good actually, life been treating me well." I gave her a closed eye smile.

"How about you?"

"Life been treating me well too, I've never been happier." She smiled back at me.

We both walked down the street talking some more before I knew it, it was time for me to go home and back to Shoto. Sometimes he worked later than me since he was a higher ranking, but I never mind. I just always loved the thought of having our own house and having a life together living our dreams as hero's. It almost seemed too perfect.

...

I came home and unlocked the door to the apartment, it seemed like Shoto wasn't home yet, he was probably working late again.

Just as I thought that, I heard my phone buzz.

Shoto- Hello love, I'll be home at about 10:00 we're investigating some areas, were thinking it might be a lead to the league of villains. I love you and I'll be home soon <3

I sighed at the text, but I understood.

You- alright, Be safe! I love you too

I put my phone down on the counter and went to make some dinner for myself. I also made sure to make something for Shoto to warm up later.

Right when I was about to eat, I felt sick, real sick to my stomach, I ran to the bathroom and kneeled down to the toilet and puked a lot.

"Great." I mumbled to myself. I've pretty much lost my appetite at this point so I just put the food I was going to eat away for later when I felt better and went to lay down.

An hour passed and I still felt like absolute crap, I puked again, but this time I just had a bucket next to me not wanting to run to the bathroom, and laid flat on my back.

2 more hours have passed and I started to get the chills. I was constantly passing out and waking up. I was definitely sick, but how can I get so sick from just coming home?

"(Y/n) I'm home!" I heard the door open in our small apartment, but since I wasn't feeling well enough to get up, I just called Shoto over.

"I'm in the room Shoto!" I yelled loud enough for him to hear.

Shoto came in the room and his eyes widened.

"(Y/n)! What's wrong? You look pale." His voice was full of concern and he walked over to me and put a hand on my forehead.

"Your burning up... are you ill?" He sat down on the bed next to me waiting for an answer.

"I believe so, I came home and just got really sick" I started to feel the urge to throw up again so I put my head down to where the bucket was and let it all out. Shoto rubbed my back as I did.

"Okay, I'm going to call the doctor and make you some soup. I'll be back in a minute, please feel better soon." He gave me a peck on the forehead and felt it with his hand again.

"I'll grab a thermometer too." I smiled and nodded at Shoto as he walked out of our room.

A few minutes passed and Shoto came back with soup, thermometer, and a wet rag for my forehead to try and stop my fever.

"Alright here's your soup, and let me take your temperature." Shoto put the thermometer on my forehead and we waited for a few seconds to beep.

"106" he sighed, and put the rag on my forehead.

"Shoto, go change out of your hero clothes and eat something, I'll be right here." Shoto looked at me with worried eyes.

"Okay love, but at least let me start a warm bath for you." He gently smiled me and gave me another kiss on the forehead.

"Thank you." I smiled back at him.

....

It was the middle of the night and I still felt horrible. Shoto was laying next to me and was rubbing my stomach putting pressure on it in certain areas, which actually was helping me a lot.

"Feeling better?" He asked me in a tired voice.

"Kinda, at least I'm not throwing up, you don't have to stay up, you should sleep, you have work." I said looking over at him. His eyes were closed, but I knew he was still awake by him rubbing my stomach.

"No, it's fine love, I already talked to Deku, he's going to cover for me and I'll go with you to the doctor." His hands were slowing down on my stomach until they finally stopped and just rested there.

"Are you sure it's okay?" I was unable to sleep from my stomach hurting so bad, I was hoping I would be able to soon though.

"Mmhm." He hummed sleepily.

"Alright, goodnight Shoto."

"Goodnight (y/n)."

....

The next day Shoto drove me to the doctors as I sat in the passenger seat. I was feeling a bit better now, but still not 100%.

"Hello you two, what brings you here today?" The doctor asked in a polite sweet voice. She was older, maybe around 55, but her voice made sound young.

"My wife was extremely sick last night, throwing up, chills, and 106 fever." Shoto answered the doctor.

"Ah I see." She wrote some things down in her computer and then continued to ask me questions.

"Alright, when was the last time you had your period?"

"The 21st last month." It was the 25th today, so I thought that it might have just been late.

"I see."

"Okay this is what we're going to do first, we're going to give you a pregnancy test, and if it is negative we'll test you for more possible infections." My eyes widened once I heard pregnancy test, as did Shoto's. I really didn't think about that.

"O-okay." I stuttered.

"Alright, go pee in this cup and then come back to the room."

...

I came back into the room and Shoto was sitting in the chair, he looked like he was thinking.

"Hey." I said breaking him out of his thoughts.

"Oh, hey, are you okay." He asked standing up walking over to me.

"Yeah..." neither of us really knew how to address this conversation, so it was a bit awkward.

"D-do you really think-" Shoto was cut off by the doctor walking in the room.

"Alright, the results came back and it turns out you are pregnant (y/n). Congratulations!"

Once again, thank you everyone for all the comments, votes, and reads. It really makes my day :)
