Chapter 65 - Feelings

Your POV

It was getting close to my due date. 4 months had past meaning next month I was due. Even though i was due next month, this month seems like the hardest. It was cold outside and I was sitting in front of the heater shivering. Shoto was getting off of work in about an hour. His hours were shorter than usual, barely working 4 hours a day so he could come home and be with me. I told him he didn't have to but he insisted that everything was going to be fine and that Endeavor was helping pay off the medical bills and giving him money when he needed it. Every time the baby kicked my stomach it hurt like hell. I got used to the pain, but it was still uncomfortable.

A little bit later Shoto walked into the door. He seemed a little beat up which had me worried, and he was home early.

"Shoto, what happened to you?!" I sat up on the couch looking over at his bruised face.

"Don't worry too much about it love, ran into some villains." He put his coat up on the coat wrack and sat down next to me and gave me a tight hug while resting his head on my shoulder.

"Are you sure your fine? your looking a bit pale..." It did seem like something happened, but knowing Shoto, he likes to keep stuff inside.

"Yes, don't stress about it, its not good for the baby." He looked up at me and gave me a cute smile, making me giggle.

"Okay if you say so... why don't you go and change out of your hero clothing?"

Shoto's POV

(about two hours before he got home)

I was walking down the street on hero duty. Midoriya and Uraraka were a little ways behind me, they were dating now, so it was understandable. The only thing was, I had nothing but time to think, (y/n) was getting close to her due date and everything was so unpredictable, it was honestly stressing me out but it was too late to change our minds about not having the baby, so I could only hope everything would be okay.

"hey, Shoto, are you okay?" Deku came up to the side of me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"yeah, I'm fine." I wasn't really in the mood to talk about my feelings, I just wanted to get back home to (y/n).

"If you want to go home, I'm sure Endeavour would let you, isn't (y/n) close to her due date?" Uraraka walked by the side with Midoriya, and of course she had a caring face on.

"I would like to go home, but I'm off in 2 hours anyways, might as well go through with it." Midoriya and Uraraka both nodded at me.

"Is she doing okay?" Uraraka asked again, but this time she looked sad and concerned. I kept looking straight ahead.

"She says she is okay... but she doesn't look okay." My voice changed into a sad low tone. I know everyone was worried about there friend but, I got the same question everyday.

Uraraka stayed quiet after my comment and looked at the ground with a sad facial expression. Of course after that Deku spoke up.

"Hey guys, I'm sure (y/n) will be alright, shes very strong! After all she been through, I know she will be able to get through this!" Deku balled his hand into a fist and gave me a determined look.

"But, can you promise that." I wasn't trying to be rude, but thinking about losing (y/n) just worked me up.

"Shoto-"

Midoriya was cut off by a huge bang not too far from us.

"What was that?!" Uraraka gasped.

"I don't know but whatever it is we should get going." I said already taking off towards the explosion.

"right." Deku and Uraraka simultaneously said.

Once we got to where the explosion was, it seemed that Katsuki and Kirishima were already fighting.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, STOP STARING AND HELP!" Bakugo yelled through the commotion. Him and Kirishima were trying to get all the civilians out of the falling building.

I didn't even reply to him, I immediately had my ice lift me up to the higher floors to find people that needed to be saved.

Just my luck there was a girl couldn't be older than 24 or 25, carrying what looked like near a new born baby.

"Help! Help!" I bolted my way in through the window... but it was too late, there was a stab wound in the young mothers stomach from fallen debre, and the building was collapsing by the second.

"Please... please take my baby, get him out here alive." The mother choked through her tears, while the baby boy was screaming and crying.

"No ma'am your going to make it out of here alive." I started to pick her up bridal style, but it was hard with all the debre falling down.

"No.. please tell my husband.. I-I Lo-" her words were cut off with silence, and I already knew what happened.

"NO" I screamed. How could I let her die? I was knocked out of my thoughts, with the babies screams and cries once again. There was no time.. I quickly took him out of the mothers arms and slid my way down the building wall tightly but carefully, holding the baby boy. Before I knew it some tears started welling up in my eyes.

"What if that was (y/n)?" I whispered to myself, holding the baby a little bit tighter as if it were my own.

"What happened?" I was met by Katsuki at the ground.

"T-the mother.. she didn't make it. This baby can't be more than a month or 2 old." Bakugo quickly caught on to my personal feelings about all of this.

"It'll be fine, I'll take the child, and find the father."

"NO ITS NOT FINE" I snapped.

"WHAT IF THAT WAS (Y/N)?!" Bakugo sighed in annoyance, yet he understood.

"BUT IT WASNT, SO GIVE ME THE DAMN BABY HALF AND HALF." Little did I know Bakugo got just as angry as me when the subject of (y/n) dying came up, they were close after all.

The tiny infant started crying again, making my mood a bit calmer.

"Here." I sighed and handed Bakugo the baby. He gently took the baby from my arms supporting the head with one of his hands, and the little body resting in his other arm.

"Go home to (y/n), Shoto." I knew he was serious because he used both of our first names, which was extremely rare for him.

"But I'm not even off of work yet." I sadly sighed. I wanted to see (y/n) so bad.

"WELL IM GIVING YOU OFF YOU DAMN HALF AND HALF, NOW GO... We can take care of these low class villains." Bakugo smirked at the end of his sentence.

"Fine." Was all I said

"Dont forget about the baby." I reminded him.

"Yeah yeah I didn't forget."

(Now at home with you)

"Why don't you go and change out of your hero clothes?"

"I should, shouldn't I?" I didn't want to leave her yet. Even though I know I would only be a room away, you never know what the good times are until there gone.

"Thats what I said silly." She kissed my nose making me laugh. But shortly after pain filled in her face.

"What's wrong?!" I asked in a panic.

"It just hurts really bad." She held onto her stomach while her eyes squeezed shut.

"What hurts?!" I put my hand on (y/n)'s stomach as well. But I jumped when I felt a a kick.

"I-its just the baby kicking, you feel it?" She asked in still sort of a pained voice.

"Yeah, I do, it already seems like our daughter is going to be a strong hero." I chuckled, making (y/n) smile.

"I really hope so." She smiled warmly looking down at her stomach which was now a big baby bump.

"I really hope so too."
