Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

It was a beautiful morning for Hazel. She woke up and cursed at herself for being alive and did her morning routine as usual. It was weekend or Saturday, so Hazel Adair had to go to the Anderson's.

She was hella happy and excited. She was about to meet Aidan and Mr.Tease or Mark. It has been a while since she met them.

She grabbed her backpack and wore her black converse. Her hair was tied up to a ponytail. Her cute bangs were bouncing as she walked outside to get on a bus. She was feeling fresh today. The thought of her ocean of cuteness was making her shift on her seat continuously. She couldn't wait to meet the little boy.

She got off the bus and walked up to the big mansion of Mark Anderson. She swiftly opened the large metal door and walked to the entrance of the mansion. She rang the door bell and she could hear small footsteps paddling towards the main door and it opened after a little bit of struggle.

"HAZEL!" The little boy yelled and tackled the woman in a bear hug. Hazel stumbled back with an almost inaudible 'ouf' and held the boy from the falling.

"Hello darling! How are you?" She laughed as she picked up the boy and get inside the house. Aidan buried his small head in Hazel's neck, inhaling her sweet and fruity scent. Aidan closed his eyes as he felt himself feel fuzzy in Hazel's arms.

"Hazel?"

"Yes lovie?"

"Why didn't you come all these days? I missed you so much!" Aidan pouted and made puppy dog eyes causing Hazel to frown and coo out loud.

"Oh precious bubba! I'm sorry! I had some things going on. I'll be here more, don't worry." She planted a small kiss on the boy's chubby cheek. "By the way, where is your dad?"

"He is in his study." Aidan smiled and Hazel nodded. "Do you want to meet him?"

"If he doesn't mind."

-

"Hello Hazel! How are you doing?" Mark greeted with a small smile on his plush lips. Hazel's cheeks heat up as she saw him smile. She shyly smiled back and replied with a quiet 'good' and walked into the room while Aidan wriggled down from Hazel's arms and ran away.

She saw Mark stand up and walk up to her. She gulped as Mark came closer and closer. Her heart was racing in his ribcage. Hazel's eyes widen like two saucers as Mark engulfed her small figure in a warm hug.

She was taken aback from the sudden action but she eventually hugged him back. Mark strong and manly scent was intoxicating Hazel. She unknowingly snuggled into Mark's chest.

Mark on the other side was combusting inside. He started liking Hazel when he first met her. Wait, no. Bumped into her.

Mark's whole world went in slow motion when Hazel looked up at him after bumping. It took him a moment to get back to reality because of Hazel's lovely appearance and beauty. With just a simple hoodie and denims along with ponytail, Hazel slayed her looks making Mark Anderson fall hard for the her.

Mark loved her hazel eyes flickered each time she looked at something. The way her eyes would disappear and turn into two cute moon crescents. Her sweet smile tugging whenever she's happy. The way her bangs bounce as she walks. Mark was simply whipped for the brunette girl but he couldn't confess or even give her hint that he liked her.

He was scared of doing so. What if he makes the same mistake he did with his previous lover? What if Hazel doesn't like him back? What if everything backfires and he will do something bad which he had been planning for a long time?

All these questions rotates in his head whenever he lays his greenish blue eyes on Hazel. Mark's dark past doesn't let him fall in love with Hazel who was the first person whom he liked after his past lover. But fate has different plans for Mark which he has no idea of.

"What was that for?" Hazel quietly asked, not making eye contact with the silver haired man. Mark smiled softly.

"Just wanted to." Mark shrugged.

'Well that escalated fast.' Hazel thought as she saw Mark's body disappear by the door. She could still feel Mark's warmth tingling on her skin. She squealed.

"Aidan, what do you want to do today?" Hazel heard Mark's deep voice as she entered the living space.

"Um... Can we go to the park?" Aidan suggested. Mark smiled and scooped the small boy up in his masculine arms and kissed his cheek.

"Sure, baby. Hazel, will you come with us?" Mark offered. Hazel smiled and nodded.

-

"Baby! Be careful!" Mark and Hazel yelled in unison. Aidan giggled loudly. Mark looked at Hazel with wide eyes and Hazel returned the same gaze. "Um I-" Before they realized their mind shared more braincells they stopped and looked away. Aidan giggled uncontrollably.

"We share braincells?" Hazel asked as she made her way to the swing after she saw Aidan head to a group of kids to play.

"Maybe, haha!" Mark faked a laugh and followed Hazel. They both sat on the swing, swinging in sync and quietly. Soft breeze was blowing through Hazel's hair and moved slightly of her bangs. Mark watched the girl close her hazel eyes and smile, feeling the soft breeze kiss her milky skin.

Mark resisted the feeling of touching Hazel's cheek with the back of his hand. He just watched the girl enjoy the sweet nature moment.

"Mark?" Hazel called out, knocking the blue eyed man out of his trance. He hummed as a response. "If you don't mind me asking, where is Aidan's mom?" Mark's loving eyes sadden at the memory of Aidan's mom and his past lover.

"Well, she left me and Aidan. She told me she deserved better than me, so yeah." Hazel's eyes soften. "Aidan was a mere mistake to her. When she found out she was pregnant with my child, she disappeared for nine months, leaving me in weird state of mind and in our family." He continued.

"Her parents thought she ran away and committed suicide and her mother blamed me for everything. Aidan's mom did tell me that she was pregnant with my baby. I was happily ready to take it but after she disappeared, I was devastated. Later, I found out she was in a hospital were she gave birth to Aidan. I went there and saw her sitting on the hospital with a pissed and annoyed face. I rushed to her and hugged her almost tearing up but she pushed me away breaking my heart." He sniffled while wiping a stray tear. Hazel never thought she will see a man like Mark would be so vulnerable in front her.

"She said, she doesn't want this baby and I told her I want it and left her there to pay all the dues in the hospital. It took a while to finish the procedure. When I entered her hospital room, I didn't see her but a note beside the baby in the cot. After reading the note, I was heartbroken and devastated. After that she-" He was cut off by sob and Hazel finished his sentence.

"She never came back..."
