When we make it to Jonathan's house, I grab Thomas's phone, placing it in my pocket. We get out of the car, and I followed Katie and Sara until we reach the back door. Katie knocks on the door, and we wait second, hearing footsteps coming from the inside.
The house was huge, and it looked like a mansion. It had a huge backyard, with a pool and a hot tub. Finally, Jonathan lets us in and shows us to the actual living room. Which was probably the size of a three-bedroom apartment. There was a huge flatscreen, and a white couch in the middle. With a walkway that led to the front door.
He showed us the kitchen next, which had chips, pizza, and drinks all laid out. Starla tilts her head towards the drinks, before walking over to grab two. She hands one to me and keeps the other for herself.
"What is in this?" I whisper to her, and she wiggles her eyebrows, before taking a look at the drink. The group has already dispersed, Thomas and Jonathan talking on the couch and Katie and Sara looking at a phone. I sigh, before drinking the mysterious liquid.
As the liquid went down my throat, a burning sensation followed. I dropped the cup, coughing and holding my throat as Starla laughed at me. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS STUFF. I cough some more, before finally catching my breath, the burning sensation still there.
Starla looked at me skeptically. "Have you never drunk alcohol?" She asks, and I roll my eyes, crouching down to pick up my cup. "Yeah! Of course, I have. But it never burned." I said, narrowing my eyes at her. She laughed at my expression, leaning on the table with the food. "That is called a shot. It's fun when you get used to it." She says as I roll my eyes.
"I hate you; I know what a shot is! But why did you give me that without a warning?" I ask her, the burning finally starting to subside. She shrugs, before taking another shot. "Just smell it. If it smells fruity with rubbing alcohol, it's a shot." She says, clearing her throat.
"Please don't drink all of the alcohol, Starla. We only have so much for a stash." Jonathan says, turning around to look at us. "When is everyone else going to get here?" Katie whined from the counter. Thomas stood up from his seat on the couch and walked over to me and Starla. Grabbing a shot and drinking it easily.
I stare at him, shocked. "Show-off," I mutter, grabbing a beer from the cooler and sitting next to Sara and Katie. Katie laid her head on my shoulder, and I sighed, finally comfortable. I took a sip of the beer, watching as Jonathan texted people from his phone. "Uh, the first round of people should be here, in a couple of minutes." He explains, sitting back on the couch.
"Starla, can you get me a-" He starts, but Starla waves him off, already knowing what to get him. I guess she has been in this situation multiple times before. "God, I need a vape," Sara says, before walking out of the kitchen and outside to the car.
Everyone was at the party, and there were people everywhere. People were in the pool, some were in the hallways, others were outside, and even where I was, in the front yard. I was sitting next to Thomas and Katie, and we watched the sun slowly go down.
This was probably my fifth drink, but who's counting. I take a sip of my canned cocktail, before looking at Katie. "Why does no one understand, that I'm not gay!' I wined, laying on my back, looking up at the sky. I could hear Thomas cough on his drink, while Katie just laughs at me.
"I am being serious!" I say, pouting at the sky. Thomas facepalms, while Katie looks up at the sky. "Trust me, no one wants to talk about your sexuality." Katie says, drinking some of her beer. "Katie!" Someone calls from one of the groups. "Be right back." She states, standing up to walk over to that group.
"You know what I'm talking about, right?" I ask, and Thomas's attention comes back to me. I smile. He's cute. "Uh, what are we talking about?" He asks again, totally not answering me. "You are now, my least good friend," I say sitting up to look at him. He nods his head, before looking back at the sky.
I take a sip of my cocktail, before laying my head on his shoulder. "You know, your nice when you're not smart," I say, as he just rolls his eyes. "And what about when I'm smart?" He asks as I roll my eyes. "You sweet when you're not smart. But when you're smart, you get cocky." I say, not caring about a damn thing.
I could feel him tense up for a second, and I laugh. "What?' He asks, now confused. I laugh some more, before finally calming down. "Pretty boy likes when I compliment him." I joke, and Thomas shifts uncomfortably. Everyone must have gone inside, because of the freezing templates when it's night time.
"Thank you for calling me sweet?" Thomas says, taking a sip of his beer. I snatch the beer out of his hand, mid-sip, and start drinking it. His hand frozen, he watches as I take a sip. "Um, did you just steal my drink?" He asks as I nod, taking the drink from my lips and handing it back to him. He slowly takes it, and we sit there, silently.
I sit up again and look into his eyes. "You should kiss him."~ I smile at him, and he smiles back. I slowly move my head closer, until I'm so close that I could smell his breath. I grab his sharp chin, caressing his cheek with my thumb.
"Now I understand why girls like you." I joke, and Thomas chuckles, breaking eye contact for a second, before looking back at me. "I now understand why I like you," Thomas mutters, and I smirk. "So, you do like me?" I ask and Thomas rolls his eyes.
He swiftly moves closer, connects our lips. I widen my eyes, before they slowly start to shut, me placing my palms on the ground to stable myself, before I push back. When the kiss is finally over, I sigh, looking down on the ground. "Does that answer your question?" Thomas asks as I chuckle.
"Yeah, I guess so. But I don't think I understand." I say, smirking at him. I lean into another kiss, and Thomas goes in halfway, and we kiss. This one softer, calmer. I scoot closer, still in the kiss, placing a hand on his chin. I hear someone calling our names, so I instantly let go, winking at Thomas, before walking back inside, leaving him. Though, I didn't want to.
Katie and Sara instantly pull me away, and into a corner. "JJ's here," Katie says, placing her cup on a counter. I look at her, confused. "She's spreading a rumor that you're having a threesome with some girls," Sara explains, as my whole face drops to the floor.
"Wait, are you being serious?" I question, though I didn't take it seriously. Both girls nod, as I smirk. "Where is JJ?" I ask, and Sara points to the kitchen. I nod at them, before making my way over to the kitchen. When I see JJ, I tap on her shoulder, making her turn around. She glares at me, and I raise my hands in surrender.
"I need to talk to you," I say, trying to act as confident as possible. She nods, before pulling me up one of the staircases to the upstairs. She looks at me and smiles. "So, you have finally come to your senses." She says, leaning over a balcony of the living room.
"Uh yeah, I just felt so bad, and you're so pretty," I say, smiling at her. God, I hate her. "Aw, thank you, baby." She says, hugging me. "Baby, how about this. I'll go get a condom and everything, you go into one of the bedrooms." I say winking as her smile widens. She runs into one of the bedrooms, as I walk down that stairs. I walk back over to Katie and Sara.
"Done!" I proudly declare, as Katie curiously glares at me. "You did something, what did you do?" Sara says worriedly, as Katie smiles at me. She hands me my drink back, and I thank her. "I just told her to wait in the bedroom while I, got get supplies," I say as Sara rolls her eyes.
"You should probably leave before she understands what's happening and does something stupid," Katie says, before taking a sip of her drink. I nod before leaving with my drink. I walk outside to the last place I left Thomas, to see him talking with some kids on the soccer team. I walk up to them and tap on his shoulder, and he turns around smiling.
"Hey, uh, it's getting late. We should probably head out." I explain, and he nods. "If we are, I'm driving," Thomas says before I can call it. I pout at him, and he waves me off. Grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the street. "Wait, how are we going to get to your house?" I ask, and watch as he takes out some keys and smile.
