"What do you mean you can't pass the rule!?" Crescent slams her hands on the table and her principal scoffs.
"Exactly what I said. I'm vetoing it." The principal look smug, and Crescent wants to slap him.
"Rule number 1023 page 72 of the rulebook. 'The principal only gets 3 vetos a month'" Crescent reads from her notes and the principal laughs.
"I'm the head of the school. Who's going to stop me?"
"The students" Crescent smiles. The past months the students had been getting tired of the principal and the student council had been organizing a protest under everyone's noses. If the principal vetoed the new rule today then he would be met with an entire crowd of students outside his office. It was not a sight he wanted to see.
"And? It's not like you all have the power to overthrow me," he scoffs.
"Rule number 1 in the rulebook. 'The title of champion shall be higher than the principal'. Rule number 2 'in the case that the principal does not follow rules of the school, then bloodbending and any other outlawed bending styles are allowed to be used against him'."Crescent reads. "furthermore, in the case that the principal is a lower number bender than the champion, the champion can eject the principal with enough signatures from the school."
The principal curses under his breath, and he realizes that the current champion could bend an element that he couldn't. So he settles for what's worked with centuries of benders. "I was only joking Miss Crescent. The rule could be arranged of course,"
"I expect it to be put into action by today or else I will take the necessary steps to take you out of the school." Crescent glares at the principal and he nods in fear. Crescent makes her way out the office after that. It felt like being the unofficial principal of the school ugh.
The students outside the office are glad to see their champion in one piece. Crescent nods at everyone, and they scramble to get home. It was nice not having to protest after school when all their parents wanted them home. Estelle peers at Crescent and she gives her a soft smile. "It passed."
"YES!" Estelle hugs Crescent and grins. The first rule passed was a rule on equality. The school had a tendency to push the nonbenders to the bad dorms. They didn't have a purpose in the school except to give them a good reputation. They treat the nonbenders badly, and whenever they do a survey they make up answers. It wasn't fair, and Crescent had it on her list of things to change.
"About time someone did something about that rule. Remember to veto anything that the principal does about the first 10 rules. It gives you power," Ice grins, and Mint gives a thumbs up from next to him. Crescent nods. It was small change but it was a change.
"Anyways, have any of you seen Kenma today?" Crescent stares at the student council, and they shake their heads. Kenma had been absent for awhile now, and it was kind of worrying that he was missing so many days of school. Crescent shakes her head and leads the student council to the arena. Aaron waits there, sitting on a bench, and when they enter, he gets ready. Just another day of training then.

Kenma struggles in his seat, metal cuffs rest on his wrists and a giant projector is in front of him. The principal sits in the room behind him, and he laughs. Part one of his plan to turn Crescent into another one of his brainless minions. He had done it with so many champions, she would just be another one.
"Ready Kenma?" the boy hisses, and his metalbending doesn't work against the platinum sitting around his wrists. "It doesn't matter. You'll be born anew when you finish the video."
The principal walks out the room and leaves Kenma in there. His eyes are widened by a machine in the room, and he rolls his eyes are far down as he could. He had escaped the video once, he could do it again.
The video finishes, and Kenma sits relaxed in his seat. The words 'for the school…' running in his mind. Yes. He would help the principal make the school a better place, and he would start by removing that awful champion of theirs. The words leave his mouth, and the principal nods in happiness. Kenma would just have to act again, nothing new.

Crescent pants on the floor, she had caught a handful of habits the benders in the room had, and it proved to be helpful when battling all of them. Aaron is brash, and he resembled his elements alot. Estelle is agile, but she lacks elegance considering she's an earthbender. Ice is too analytical, and with enough speed, you could rip his brooch off before he could finish balancing out the outcomes. Mint is slow, his bending is a threat, but he's slower than Estelle when it came to bending. Hatsumi on the other hand, was a good balance, but she was a bit too analytical as well.
"Crescent I-" Estelle pants, and she realizes how quick Crescent had become in the months of her training. "you're way too fast now."
"Sorry Estelle. But that's also thanks to you!" Crescent grins.
Ice uses some water to heal his bruises, and Crescent helps him out. The team helps eachother clean up their cuts and bruises, and it feels peaceful. Aaron bends the water and helps Estelle heal a rather large bruise on her back, she had been slammed into the ground by Mint earlier. Hatsumi closes her eyes while Ice runs the water up and down her back. She was tired, and was glad that Ice was a good healer. Crescent massages Mint's scalp and he relaxes. She uses the water to heal any cuts in his hair, and moves on to heal his legs from a burn she had caused. This felt like how things were supposed to be.
