"How was training last night?" Kenma asks the girl, his eyes are duller than usual and his posture wasn't hunched over for once.
"Nothing much. He's improving, yet somehow his fire still lacks passion" Crescent stares at the boy with his group of friends. They were all mellow elements, he was probably used to being mellow thanks to that. Her hands play with the puzzle given to her that morning and she figures out the cube.
"Isn't that the one puzzle I couldn't solve?"
"Yeah. I've been figuring out ways to use the cube and bomb people." Crescent twists the cubes and grumbles.
Lunch today goes by quickly and Crescent barely realizes that it's time to train Felix when the time comes. Felix waits in the arena for them and Crescent rushes in. Kenma wasn't available to train him today. Crescent ties up her hair and starts the lesson for the day.
"Where's Kenma?"
"I don't know. He's busy today apparently" Crescent wraps her wrist as Felix tests out a couple firebending techniques.
"With what?"
"An affair" Crescent laughs.

Kenma stares at the people before him. A man and a woman, claiming to be his parents, holding up his birth certificate. His parents were dead, who were these people.
"My parents died in a car crash years ago" Kenma speaks and the two adults exchange glances.
"We staged it" His 'dad' speaks up and hands him a document. "we were promoted to be rulers of a nearby nation so we had to stage a death. We didn't want you to get involved until you became of age"
Kenma stares at the paper he was handed. It's in an envelope, and the words printed outside of say classified. "Give me a week"
"Of course darling. Just give us a call whenever" his mom reaches for him and he flinches back.
Kenma leaves the room that his 'parents' were sitting in. His brain is a mess, and he calls Ice for help. The two had gotten along despite the fact that Ice liked Crescent. The line rings twice before Ice picks up. "What's wrong Kenma?"
"I need you to help me do a background check" Kenma stares at the files in his hand. "I'll send you files today. Check if they really are legitimate"
"What do I get in return?" Ice jokes.
"We'll see"
The two hang up and Kenma rushes to the arena.

Crescent and Felix both pant. The two had been on par with each other's firebending now. Crescent freezes herself in water and sighs. She leaves a hand out to help Felix with the burns and bruises on his body. When the door opens, Kenma rushes in. He helps Crescent melt herself and Felix cheers.
"Are you here to continue training me?" Felix peers and Kenma shakes his head.
"I'm actually here to ask you two a question" Kenma pulls out a bunch of documents and Crescent recognizes them immediately.
"The crash of 280" Crescent reads through the papers while Felix rests in the pool to cool down.
"Do you know about it?" Kenma peers at the girl.
"They tried to kill me then." Crescent continues reading the papers. "Their target was the little girl in the rural area. I was the only girl at the time, so they tried to run me over and blame it to be an accident. I was lucky to have been saved by another boy around my age."
Kenma nods slowly. "Did anyone die from it?"
"No. The car drove off as if nothing had happened. But newspapers wrote that in order to save a girl, they had to crash their car. It was a strange case when they were really targeting me."
"What were they after?"
"The girl with red eyes under a full moon" Crescent dries the sweat on her forehead, the half risen moon glows in her eyes and her eyes glow a soft shade of red.
"Impossible-" Kenma and Felix both stare at her. That was the reason she was never at school when it was a full moon. She was always at home in covers. She was a waterbender, how did she have red eyes under the moon?
"The crystals" Kenma realizes and he grabs Crescent by her shoulders. "Did you enter the crystal catacombs when you were younger!?"
Crescent stares at him and nods. "The pandora's curse. Eternity. My healing powers would be nothing if it weren't for the fact that I had drank water from down there"
"Elementis." Felix recalls. "The gem that gave nonbenders bending abilities. There's no way you drank that too right? You can only bend 3 elements. You're just a trialbender"
Crescent stares at her hands and recalls her dreams. One each year on her birthday. First the waters until she had bent it out of frustration. Then the air that she had bent as self defense. After the flames that had scorched her body for so long. Two months ago on her birthday her final dream had come to her. She wasn't the avatar, she wasn't. So why was she able to bend so many elements after a simple dream? Crescent stares at her hands and cries. Who was she? Was she just another cursed being? Why had she entered the catacombs when she was young? Her thoughts race through her head and she feels tears run down her face.
Kenma stares at the girl. First her platinum eyes from her childhood, then her golden eyes from after firebending. Did that mean she would be green eyed when she finally completed her elements? He holds the girl close to him and brushes those thoughts away. They had more important matters to attend.
