"Six months is a really long time" Crescent whines.
"Well better than suffering in school right? We all took a leave so that you could be trained every now and then" Estelle smiles.
"But why do we need to expose her? There's literally no need" Crescent plays with the rock in her hand. Estelle stares at the girl and sighs.
"Why wouldn't you? The current avatar is from a rich family and the mindset that the avatar can't be born into a lowly family has brainwashed us all" Estelle drinks her tea and Crescent grumbles.
"Not to mention, there's a handful of things she can't do but you can" Mint walks out with Ice and they hand the girl a new badge.
"What's this?"
"The avatar badge" Ice speaks. "It's a status of your symbol now."
"Ah, speaking of which. The avatar and champion showdown is next month right?" Estelle looks at Ice.
"Yes," Ice checks his calendar. "There's around 28 days before Crescent's gotta fight the avatar. We'll get the puppet down and you two can duel fairly."
"What if I don't want to?" Crescent crosses her legs and glares at the three. "You three have been making decisions for me lately and I have no idea why you even care about this. I appreciate it, but I'm a free soul. I doubt you'll be able to tie me down."
"Please, you're the only hope we have left… the girl who's the avatar is Crécelle's sister… her parents have a monopoly on the school." Mint speaks. "They need to be torn down, I don't care how but you're the best bet right now"
"And what do I get in return?"
"Your dignity" Mint winks.
"You get your parents and everyone else who had been banned back into the system. The only reason the rural area exists is because everyone there was banned and blacklisted by the school" Ice explains. "The middle class only exists because the rural area exists. Everyone except the rural area is paid a reasonable amount"
"That would cause inflation, and would result in the middle class dropping. As long as the rich aren't targeted, there's no way for actual equality" Crescent notes and finishes her water. "Well regardless, I hope we find another person to fulfill your request"
"Crescent wait!" Crescent walks away and Ice chases her.
