Chapter 35 - Looking For Money

For the 3rd day Revan gave them a rest day. He dropped off their meals in the morning and also left them with a few words. "Make sure not to do any extensive work on your rest days, the most important thing is to rest. Walking is fine but don't do anything that requires too much physical effort."

Revan had to get back home early because he didn't want to be late by even a single minute.

Revan: Penelope oh Penelope, I'm outside your door it's time to go to the market-

When Penelope walked out it looked as if the sun itself dimmed ever so slightly. It was a type of beauty that everyone would find attractive. She put on a set of flowery pink robes that accentuated her cherry red lips.

Revan pinched her soft cheek. "Has anyone tried to rob you before?"

Penelope: No why?

Revan: Really? No candy? No white van? Nothing?

Penelope: No candy at all but I wish I had some now that you mention it. Let's go down to the marketplace and pick some up.

Revan: Pick up anything you want and it'll be on me. I'm not stingy with my money. And you deserve it so it's the least I could do

Penelope: Alright, but you have to leave. I'm not done getting ready yet, come back in 10 minutes

Revan thought to himself. "Women, they're the same everywhere. They give you a time and they're late, they spend way too long getting ready just to leave the house."

Revan: Alright, I'll be back in 15 minutes...

Revan made his way back to his own room and scrambled for his desk. He went to his shelves and checked all the columns for any money. "Am I poor or something? Where does this young master keep his money?" Revan was looking through the drawers in his desk and finally came across one that was locked. "This must be what the key is for."

While Revan was sleeping one day he got up in the middle of the night to go to the washroom. It was pretty dark and on his way back to his bed he slipped on the wolf print rug that was placed on the floor at the foot of his bed. He slipped and luckily regained his footing instead of falling flat on his face.

Although it was for a short period of time. Revan noticed something sparkle in his peripheral vision as he was falling. Revan remembered that moment so vividly right now.

"That must've been the key for this drawer."

Revan walked towards his bed and reached under it while sweeping his hand back and forth.

Cling Cling Clang

"Finally"

Revan pulled out a plain old silver key from under his bed. He reached for the drawer and placed the key inside the hole.

CLICK CLACK

As he turned the key, the lock mechanism fell into place and the drawer opened.
