I woke up in my dark room, the windows of my room were cracked open letting the moonlight in.
I stood up and felt the carpeted flooring and walked towards the windows and closed all the windows shut. I walked towards my study table and wrote what happened in my diary, just to "Keep yourself sane!" That's what he said
I walked out of the hallways that was lit with magic stones, I basked in a golden light and looked out the windows again "I wanna go there!!!" I said in an eager tone
Then I felt a hand grab my head with force "Oy brat! Wanna go out to the capital now?"
I nodded and looked at my tutor "Yeah!!!"
He smirked and threw me out the window "WAAHH!!!" I screamed and covered my face as I screamed "WARP!!!" I saw a bright light and the soft touch of carpet again
"Tch..." my tutor said in annoyance "okay... let's explore the night city of the Blood Capital!" He said then started walking away
I brushed my clothes from all the glass shards and dust, then before me I saw the glass window started repairing itself "WHOA!" I screamed in awe and shock
I looked around if somebody was casting a spell on it, but it just automatically repaired itself
I ran towards my Mom's study room at the other end of the palace
As I walk down the hall to my Mom's study room the door suddenly opened and it was Zal-sama, his red eyes met mine and he smirked "Your Mom agreed... come on"
I looked at him in shock "Y-YOU'RE BEING NICE?!"
He bashed my head with full force "ACK! That hurts!!!" I exclaimed in pain
He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt "Come on brat!"
He jumped up and the world warped into a spiraling mess and then we were suddenly outside the castle walls. Zal looked around the bridge connecting to a road to the castle gates "Alright coast's clear, use Illusion magic on yourself and change your appearance!"
My brows narrowed "How?" He rubbed his chin "Just imagine it as another layer of your face, like this" he waved his hand over his face and it suddenly changed into an old guy in his 100's in human's standards. He waved it over his face again then his face became returned to normal "Easy, right?"
I nodded
I closed my eyes and imagined myself as me but with black hair and greenish blue eyes
"Oh! That's pretty good!" Zal-sama said
I opened my eyes and peered down the river under the bridge. I saw a kid with my face that has black hair and emerald colored eyes "Won't this attract attention?" I asked Zal-sama
He shook his head "Black hair's pretty common around these parts... white hair on the other hand's a sign of purity, benevolence and royalty" I scratched my head and nodded "Okay..."
He picked me up and placed me over his shoulders. He started walking to the main road with me on his back and then, the surroundings warped into a spiraling mess again. Then we were suddenly inside a store
"Oh?" I said
"Z-ZAL?!" I heard a female voice, Zal turned around with a smile "I'm babysitting my lifetime supply of cash!" He said with a smirk
The girl in a bluish apparel that's fitting for a merchant approached us "Y-YOU'VE BEEN
GONE FOR DECADES!!!" Her eyes wide and somewhat mad but glad at the same time
"Zal-sama! Who's she?" I asked him
Zal smiled "My younger sister!"
The girl bashed his head with a fan looking object "I'M NOT YOUR SISTER!!! And we were a part of the same mercenary group back then"
Zal smiled at her "Do been a while, right? Anna... san?"
The girl smiled in relief "It has... and who's that little kid over your shoulders?" Zal laughed out loud "He's my life time supply of cash"
Anna tilted her head "He doesn't look expensive? But his white skin resembles the
royals.... You gonna sell him at the black market? I'll buy him"
Zal shook his head "Nope, he's actually Pr- I mean nah. I'll hold onto until I'm bored teaching him stuff"
Anna sighed "That's so like you... even when you tutored the Queen back then... When she was just a wee child..." Anna sighed
"Puru!" Puru appeared on top of my head "Wah! Puru, where have you been?" Puru smiled "Puru"
Zal waved Anna goodbye "I'll come by next time, I'll make this little brat on my head know how it feels like to be in the city"
Anna waved goodbye with a smile
Zal walked out of the shop, and there I saw the bustling city scape before me... it was like a Victorian era city that was technologically advanced in many ways... There were streetlights that kills people it considers as an enemy
Electricity, plumbing, Irrigation and many more "Did my mother come up with these inventions?" I asked Zal that was not prepared for what I was going to ask
"What inventions?" He asked
"Electricity, plumbing and irrigation?" I said
"Your mother... Allied with the dwarves at one point, and all of those are their inventions, but your mother came up with some ideas..."
Zal said as we walked down the busy streets of the blood capital
While we were walking, a huge explosion burned on the side of the building
When I looked around I was already sitting on the floor and the surroundings became monochromatic and motionless. When I looked back at the explosion the fire was a still figure and there he was, Zal-sama pointing his finger at what looks like a flaming beast's forehead
I felt a strong magical pressure around me, and in an instant I heard a laser beam being shot
The monochrome world got lit up with the bluish light of the laser and Za- sama looked at me with a smirk, when I blinked
I was on his shoulders and people were moving again. The Police and the detectives appeared out of nowhere and made the civilians back away from the crime scene "Are the Police always this quick?"
Zal shrugged and moved along
We were walking down the streets when rain started dripping, he turned his head at me looking up "Wanna head back?" He asked.
I nodded, when I blinked we were already inside the palace
"That's all for today..." he waved his hand at me then moved along
When I turned to the window's glass my original appearance was back, and I got curious on how the window got reformed but not the library...
I walked up to Aeriel-san and asked him that, he replied "Everything is embedded with repair magic... but your explosion was magically induced therefore destroying the spells..." I looked at the window in confusion "I-i... okay then?"
[A year passed]
I'm 9 years old now
Zal-sama and I are deep in a forest that houses magical beasts. For some reason he wanted to train my magic here as well as my physical skills...
"I'll search for the dungeon's entrance... you... wait here..."
I sat on a rock polishing my senses to its limit while I sit down... I hear the birds chirping, rivers flowing... and the leaves rustling against each other
Then a huge gust of wind came from behind me... I stayed put since it's just wind, nothing alarming. But I felt a tingly sensation on my neck... it was as if somebody was watching me...
I turned around and a green hooded figure was sitting on a branch, it seems to be watching me... his presence is so muted I almost didn't felt him...
I stared at him and our eyes met... he gave me a smile before "Hey brat! You alright?"
I turned my look at Zal then back to the branch but the figure's already gone. I nodded and followed him down the path "We'll be going in the 5th Vampire King's labyrinth... where his tomb is at..."
"Can't you just warp us there?" He rubbed his eyes with his fingers annoyed "If I could I would've done it"
While we were walking "Brat... do you know anything about the gods?"
I looked at him confusedly "What... about them?"
He sighed "How many are there?"
"3? The god of space and time
Blood and magic
Heat and decay??"
He smirked "There are 10"
My eyes widened "10?"
He nodded...
We walked for almost 20 whole minutes before reaching a buried tower protruding from the ground. Zal bit his thumb and wrote a runic symbol on the stone wall
The blood glowed, the wall collapsed creating a door like shape over it
"We'll be staying here until we reach the tenth floor..."
We stepped inside and Puru appeared over my shoulders lighting the surroundings up.
