"She knows the truth."
Adina silently stood there gaping at the twins with a helpless look on her face. Aiden asked,"I am intrigued as to why were we not able to smell her out?"
Ian took a deep breath and said, looking at her with such a ferocious gaze that for a moment she forgot everything else in the room and even where she was," 'cause Aiden, she smells of the forest. Her scent is the same as that of the dampened forest floor and the trees. This is the reason we couldn't smell her presence. Her scent mingled with the forest."
Aiden also took a deep breath, inhaling her scent from afar and a half smirk played on his lips. "Now what should we do?" Ian directed the question towards his brother.
"She'll have to stay here until grandma arrives."
"You are right, we can't make this decision but the problem is, grandma won't be returning anytime soon."
"So she'll stay here, with us, as long grandma takes to solve the issue and return."
"And where do you exactly intend to keep her, Aiden?"
"I think it's better if she stays in the guestroom near my bedroom. We have to keep an eye on her after all."
"No. We can't take that chance. We can't let anything happen to her before grandma arrives. You do know yourself. The guestroom where she was, near my room is okay. You can trust me."
"Yeah, you are right Ian, we can't take any chances. Well then, it's decided and Tanisha," he looked at the maid standing beside her," You will be with her. Help her with everything. You will be the one taking care of her needs."
The maid who was now known to Adina as Tanisha nodded her head stiffly. Till now Adina was in a trance, she recovered from it only when Aiden said," Take her away."
She then realised what was going on. The thought that they were deciding for her, came crashing in her head. Basically, keeping her at their home against her will. She panicked and said in a loud voice," NO!"
The twins' attention snapped in her direction then Adina continued,"You can't keep me locked up here. I have a life outside, a job, a family, friends. You can't keep me here against my consent that's illegal. It's kidnapping." Both the brothers gave her an incredulous look which clearly said,'Does it look like we give a shit?' She continued desperately," They will come looking for me. They know I'm here."
Ian said in a cool but distant voice,"First thing miss, what you were doing wasn't legal either and second and the most important thing, nobody will ever know or even think that you are inside our home."
Adina gulped nervously because he was indeed right. Nobody would even know where she was because the Simmons don't indulge with people and for that matter, a reporter is a big no and also she hasn't told everything to Krystal either. So, apparently she was stuck. She said in a pleading tone,"A-atleast give me my cellphone. I-I need to contact them frequently. I don't want th-them to be worried."
The twins looked at each other then at Adina. Aiden said,"You'll get to contact them once in a while"
"but only under our surveillance. One of us will be there when you talk to them and 'til then, your phone will stay us." Ian finished.
With a resigned sigh Adina said,"I.. ok!" Without another word Tanisha took her hand and left the office. She only let go of her hand when they reached the room Adina woke up in.
