We head back up the stairs following Prince Luke and Prince Chris and see them putting our bags in their closets. "What are you doing? Give us our bags," I asked. Prince Luke turns to face us and says, "No. Because you will try to do this again if we do. Now, get some sleep as we have a big day tomorrow for you two."
I look at Traci and try to speak, "But, we can't stay here anymore. We have to go, Your Highness. Plea--", until Prince Chris cuts me off and says, "No, we say that you are both staying here until we decide or if we ever decide to let you leave. Do you understand?" "But, how will we change clothes? If they are with you in your rooms," I asked. "Come get them from us and change in your rooms," Prince Luke says. Traci just heads to his closet, grabs her bags and begins walking out. He follows her and takes her to his room. I'm standing there with Prince Chris staring at me. "Alisa, why do you not want to stay here?" he asked. I gulped. I don't know what to say.
"Answer me," he says. "Um, we just told you. We feel like we overstayed our welcome," I say, avoiding his gaze. "Look at me. You and Traci have not bothered us at all. We want to keep you both safe," he says. I just nodded. I walk to get my bags, but he takes them from my hands. "Why are you doing this, Alisa?" he asked. I back up against his dresser and he steps closer as he drops my bags behind him. "You have a girlfriend. Stop doing these kinds of things," I pleaded. "And why do you care about her so much?" he asked. "Because I'm not going to be the side chick to any man," I say.
~My phone rings~ The caller ID shows 'Nelson.' I pick it up. 'Al, what's up? I'm by the road where I said we'd meet to go to my place; where are you at?" he says. "Um. Nothing. Sorry, I'm on my way. Be there in 5 minutes," I say, hanging up the phone. I head around Prince Chris to pick up my bags, but he gently pushes me on his bed and I fall face first. I try to turn around, but he gets on top of me and mutters in my ear, "If you really think I'm going to let you go with that Nelson guy, you must think again.' I struggle to get free, but he just holds me down tighter. "Look, I need to go meet Nelson. Unlike you, I'm loyal to just one person. You should learn loyalty, Your Highness," I say. He gets up and I think he got up to leave me alone, but he actually takes my phone and redials Nelson.
'She's not coming with you. This is her fiance. I highly suggest that you go home,' I hear him say. I try to get my phone back from him, but he just keeps me at arms' length. ~Call ends~ "Why did you do that?" I cry out. "Because, like I said, you aren't leaving to go meet him," he says. "Leave me alone. Go to Lysa, I bet she's missing you," I say, heading to leave. But, what he says next, stops me in my tracks. "She's not my girlfriend," he says. "I just asked her to play as my girlfriend to make you show your true feelings. She's my best friend since birth," he adds. I sighed. "Why would you want to make me jealous?" I asked. "Because you do love me. You have fallen in love with me. And you cannot deny it. Lysa saw it in your eyes too," he says.
"And if I say you're right, what would change? Huh?" I asked. "We would talk about it and see how we would move forward with this new step in our relationship," he says. I turned to face him, but he was closer that I bumped into his chest. "Oh, um, excuse me," I say, breathless. "So, what do you say, Alisa? You want to try talking about our feelings for one another? Or do you want to try being together?" he asks, with a smirk.
