Ever since he was little, Xavier thought that he was a superhero and truly believed it. The only thing was that no one else thought he was and did not care who he was. People would always come up to him as he was doing a 'superpower trick' and push him down and say get a real job then laugh at him. The people that sort of believed him would help him get up and tell him to try harder only to laugh harder themselves when he always failed at one of his tricks. They would say things like up well I guess your powers do not work or you are stranded here and the people you came from do not even like you or else they would take you home. You have to actually do an awesome feat of strength and they might hear and see it then take you home. Xavier actually believed them, which made it even funnier. He would do weird irrational things and get hurt badly. Instead of people helping him get up they would just stand there laugh and point at him. Then they would joke and say you just need to try harder. You almost got it and he would. He would try harder and harder and every time he failed, he just got up and tried harder. It was almost sad to watch. He would do something and get hurt badly but instead of going to a doctor, he would just get up, rub it off, and jokingly say he was all right then be back at it. He would try it again and then get hurt even worse. People would continue to laugh and even at school, he was picked on badly. First, it was the bullies and then the bullies convinced everyone else to do it as well. They all pitched in and laughed their heads off every day at what Xavier would do. Xavier even heard small talk of teachers bringing it up and laughing. He always knew what it was about. Him. He earned the nickname super stupid hero kid. Every time someone called him that he wouldn't walk away. He would meet the person toe to toe and say you just wait. I will show you a feat of strength that even you will be impressed by and when you need me I will not be there.
He would go home and try to do a cool feat but would always fail and get hurt then come back the next day and get laughed at much more. It even got to the point that the doctor went to Xavier's parents' house and told them that if their son did not stop doing this craziness then he would kill himself. Xavier was in his room with the door slightly closed and he heard everything. That night he knew what he had to do. He took all of his comics and some clothes and he snuck out of his window and went into the night. He walked for a few hours and stopped at a big gate that said beware of dogs on it and had a trespasser sign. There was a hole in the wiring and he crept in. There was an old beat-up house that blocked his view. He crept in through the back. There was no one there so that is where he stayed.
"If they want a big show I'll give them a big show," Xavier said, setting his things down and grabbing his comic books. He riffled through them and settled on one. Superman. If they want a superhero I'll give them one. He started memorizing the powers of Superman and started practicing what he did but of course, he failed drastically. The next day Xavier's parents woke up." Xavier, honey come down for breakfast." Xavier's mom said towards the steps. When they got no reply Xavier's dad went up to his room and opened the door. Sure enough, he saw no one there. The bed was all made and the room was spotlessly clean but no Xavier. The family knew instantly what happened. They quickly called the police to inform them what happened and then they asked if they saw Xavier but the officers said no and even after the parents described him they still said no. Mom was about to hang up when her husband saw an assignment laying on the table. He picked it up and all over the page in big red letters; it red, super stupid hero kid. Without thinking, he handed the paper to his wife and said, try this. She was a little skeptical at first but then she asked the person on the other end of the line if they saw super stupid hero kid anywhere. Instantly the officer said yes and after a few laughs and some that kid ahu, he said I saw him walking the streets out at night. I did not know where he was going but he was carrying a thing of luggage and was leaving this city." Should we put out missing posters she asked her husband?" "I don't see the point," The police officer said, overhearing their conversation.
"Everyone in town hates him and laughs at him. It would be better to put out wanted posters. $20 reward," he said laughing." "Screw you," She said, hanging up the phone hard." I don't care what everyone says or thinks of our son. I'm putting up the posters." But when she took out her computer all Xavier's pics were all written on. Someone had hacked her computer and put Super Stupid hero kid on all of the pictures. She was mad but that it all she had. She printed all the pictures and they walked out into the streets hanging them up wherever they could. People started opening their windows and laughing and pointing." Forget it. Your son might as well as have gone home. He's not coming back." This chant was echoed throughout all of the houses but nevertheless, the parents put up all of the posters as fast as they could and raced inside. Everyone believed that this was a prank; A joke and Xavier was just hiding. He always did and would come out eventually. He would always pull this stunt on them. After a few days, everyone believed this but after a week, they started getting worried. After two weeks, though they all started getting worried and after three, a lot of them took the posters and tried to find him. After four, the whole town was weak and tired of finding him. They just wanted him back. They did not care how messed up and wacko he was. They just wanted to see him again and they were not going to pick on him or laugh at him. They realized what they were doing was wrong and after one of them saw Xavier sneak back into the city to steal some clothes, they followed him to his house. The person came back and told everybody. Everyone crowded around the gate to the house and they watched the house. They did not want to go in because of the four big dogs on the other side. For days, they did not see him. He must have been in the backyard instead of the front. The only way out was the front though so they had to see him sometime. After a few more days, they decided it was enough, and with guns loaded, they marched in. Everyone else watched live because the TV crew was there. The two lead guys got bit by the dogs but they turned around and shot them between the eyes. They kept moving and they could hear some running around in the house. He was trapped. They knocked on the door and not hearing a reply, they broke it open. They rushed inside and besides a small TV that was on there was nothing. The whole house was spotlessly clean though. Some people were walking by the tallest building in the city when they heard something strange. They looked up at the building and saw nothing. They were going to look away when suddenly they saw a flash on the top of the building and what looked like a boy appeared out of the flash and on top of the building." Bro that's him. That is the Xavier kid. Get your camera." The other one quickly got out his camera and was fidgeting out of freight before he got the camera on and the video going. He put it on live and people at home now saw a double screen. One was the empty house and the other was a boy appearing out of thin air on top of the tallest building in the city. Xavier looked down, saw the two teenagers, and waited. Then he stepped out to the ledge. He walked out to the thinnest part and waited. The whole crew at the abandoned house saw this live on there TV and quickly rushed over to where the boy was. Surprisingly everyone tackled each other to get there with the bullies in the lead. Sadly Xaviers' Parents were last and almost trampled by the masses. The police and everyone rushed to the building and there he was. The parents tried to talk him down and not jump but that did not help. He just stepped closer to the edge. The old town came back and they started chanting, "Do it. I know you will not. You're a chicken," Which only made the situation worse. Xavier went to the ledge and was barely holding onto the statue when he faced the crowd and spoke. "You may all know me as super stupid hero kid and that's okay." That got the crowd to shut up and listen. Blank stares were everywhere." You all want me to go home so I am." "Do it," Someone in the crowd said." How'd you get up there?" Another said. No one believed him." I feel my time has come. They are calling me. They want me back. They are calling me home and I'm going." Xavier said. Still, no one believed him and all were really confused but when his foot stepped on a piece of not strong rock and slipped everyone paid attention as his foot dangled for second and large pieces of rock fell to the ground. He reached out and clung to the statue as his life depended on it then climbed back up, brushed himself off, and regained his composure. They all shouted out stop but it was too late." You see. I am even a danger to non-life. No one likes me. I know that all of you want me gone and want me to leave so I will." Whatever challenge you may face in my absence I will not be there for you." He stepped back over the ledge and far as he could, grabbed a hold of the statue with one, and stretched. Only his back leg was the only part of him that stood on something and that wasn't even secure. It was a small piece of rock barely big enough to fit his foot and it was crumbling by the second. "Wait," an officer yelled at the top of his lungs and held his hand out. The boys grip on the statue wasn't tight enough. He let go and fell. There was terror in everybody's eyes but then he grabbed onto a lower hanging ledge and couldn't move. He was frozen. More rocks fell to the ground and they were more than last time. "Don't move, please. Im coming." The boy stopped struggling and did his best to look down. There stood the officer that the parents were on the phone with. "Please stop. I know how you feel." Everyone turned towards him and so did the cameras." Growing up here too I was looked down upon as the weirdo and was beaten up in class by everyone but I got past that. I started focusing on the good in my life. The more I focused on that, overtime the beatings stopped, and I was looked upon as the nice guy that whoever had a problem they went to me and I helped them fix it. So please kid step down. I feel sorry for laughing at your parents. I forgot how desperate I was when I was your age. I forgot who I really was. That I too went through what you're going through." "I'm not a kid. I am a god and they want me home." Xavier said. Trying to fight back a tear. "Wait, I thought you said you were a superhero now you're a...Never mind. I'm coming up there so standstill.'' Xavier did not make any move to object so the officer raced up. He walked up to the secondary level, broke the glass, grabbed the kid and pulled him inside. Everyone waited for them to walk out and when they did not after a while everybody stormed in. They checked everywhere but saw no one. In the meantime, the officer and Xavier vanished and reappeared far away off TV and the officer set Xavier down then disappeared. To this day, no one knows where Xavier is but sometimes you can see the Officer leave town with bouquets of roses and they knew he was giving them to Xavier. When a humongous beast came and terrorized the city who do you think they called as their first choice of help...…?
