Chapter 10 - money is essential after all..

five days have passed since ken ate the pills and experienced explosive growth in cultivation . the problem is that the stark difference in increase of cultivation now is bothering ken a lot . now he can feel why cultivators cannot hide their greed for resources but ken has actually controlled his desire because knows that haste makes waste . he is now slowly planning a way to earn sect points .

there are many ways to earn points like helping an alchemist , take a job at any establishment etc . the points this way can be earned maximum 100 points a month no matter how much one works hard .

now ken is incling towards the plan to take the test for a tier 1 alchemist . he would definitely succeed and can earn 100 points from sect monthly while the herbs for learning will be provided by sect only a few sets for free . more herbs will be brought by the disciples who want an alchemist to refine a specific number of pills for them and most of the ones only pay sect points . the rest of the sect points which the refiner can consider his payment are the ones left after buying the necessary materials for refining.

of course the disciples who come to alchemist for pills are relatively rich ones and the ones from most rich background like family of an elder etc. request straight from the alchemist guild . the guild authorities then pass the job to their own favourable subordinates while other refiners even if they are talented can eat dust for all the authority wielder cares .

this is the most fitting job for ken as he can work in the alchemy guild as an average alchemist and make sure that no authorities bother him . this way he who has 100 percent success rate when refining pills can eat all the pills that are left after saving the ordered ones.

nobody can check Ken's cultivation base anyway because of his mutated bloodline so he can continue to fool them by showing smaller cultivation base . its child's play for him because his qi is pure and his control over it is naturally exceptional with his absurd mental power .

the problem was everybody will know in a second that ken had the worst spirit roots when he came to the sect by confirming with elder fang so he has to wait for a while to show them he had naturally advanced to 3rd level and practiced his alchemy .

ken quickly estimated the time prefect to visit the alchemy guild will be about 3 months later . the normal advancing speed to the 3rd level for worst talent like him will be 2 and a half months and he can say that he had practiced alchemy in the rest of the time while cultivating diligently . this way he will be able to show everybody 4 th level cultivation and for alchemy skills , even though ken is reluctant to he can only show them a success rate of about 15 percent which can be considered average .

the plan was formed so ken decided to cultivate diligently till then inside his small cultivation chamber and eat some times in the cafeteria while strolling around the city for a while . the inside of his cultivation chamber hadn't changed from before but ken had definitely changed something. of course it was the spirit gathering formation . his control over energy and mental power is great so with the abundant knowledge formation is also similarly easy for ken .

the original runes were only a hundred or so but now when the formation is activated , more than a few thousand runes glow . in truth there was no specific high quality spirit gathering formation inside his knowledge so he had studied much and finally derived this formation . he can only do so much with no external resources to power up the formation still the original 2 times more energy had changed to 3 times than normal but the density of the energy is more than 5 times than before .

so ken who already posesses pure energy can definitely benefit more as the energy absorbed is a little more than before and the absorption process is smooth . therefore faster cultivation speed is inevitable.

ken had been thinking about points and formation for these five days and leiseruly spent 3 hours a day for cultivation while the rest of the time was spent in cafeteria and strolling the city .

ken sat cross legged like usual on the small stone platform and when he started cultivating, the runes under his body which were inscribed on the moonstone glowed and the formation started running .

Ken's cultivation speed had slowed down after advancing realms which he already had known so wasn't disappointed in the slightest. after 3 months he had reached the peak of 6th level and estimated that he can break through after a week if he cultivated inside his cultivation chamber for 5 hours daily .

now he was wearing the usual sect robe which indicated his status as the outer disciple and standing outside the alchemy guild .
