ken had cultivated for five hours after eating food in the cafeteria when he exited the guild wearing the tier 1 alchemist badge . he was a little upset because on his black robe the black badge was barely noticeable as only the white number 1 faintly glowed a little .
now after sleeping soundly ken has woken up fresh and is heading towards the guild for his first day at work after finishing his breakfast at of course the free cafeteria . he quickly arrived at the familiar gates and saw the old gentle sitting at his same desk casually .
" hello elder ! " ken spoke politely but was shocked because gentle was actually sleeping with his eyes open. he could clearly hear the snoring sounds loudly because his senses like hearing and smell have evolved much better than others due to his gradual transformation of bloodline into a dragon .
ken still wasn't used to his new senses as he spent most of the days inside his house and rarely paid attention to the surroundings outside while eating or strolling here and there. he looked so average so of course nobody talked to him much and he just toured the areas inside the outer city like a tourist .
ken found a scroll hanging at the corner of gentle's desk which had names of alchemists who worked inside the guild written on it with beautiful calligraphy . this writing would be considered a treasure on earth but here it was casually hanging on a desk . ken found his name at the last mention and the rest of the scroll which was blank consisted almost half of the normal paper . of course even cultivators here were not so extravagant to use spirit materials for making such normal things . many of the names had a small tick besides their name so ken copied that and took the brush and drew a casual tick mark .
he wont wake up gentle from his sleep just for his small matters so he relied on the help of a beautiful reception lady who was wearing the robe of an outer disciple . her attitude towards ken was a bit respectful after earning that he was an alchemist so Ken thought that others outside would be more respectful as they rarely have encounters with alchemists . well the small attention was not bad but ken didnt think much about this matter and followed the lady called suman to the second floor where the rooms of the alchemists were located .
the herbal aroma on the second floor was much more denser and ken could feel that many alchemists were in the process of refining pills right now . he only recognized the herbs till tier 3 so they must be the lower and middle ranked alchemists of the guild .
the rooms were very big as all were connected to each other so ken could see the boundary between each one and see the size. in fact his house was pretty much the same width as the rooms . looks like there was no difference in the rooms belonging to tier 1 till tier 3 alchemist as they looked pretty much same from the outside. well ken appreciated the treatment because who would reject free benefits like this .
the rooms continued more but ken had arrived outside his room which was number 28 . the total number of alchemists working for the guild were more than 200 so ken thought that they must be working on higher floors because he could smell aroma from there too with his powerful nose .
suman went back to the first floor after ken entered the room . in his hand was a jade card which had number 28 written on it and was shining in red colour . the jade was simple black coloured and looked pretty normal from outside but infact it had just finished absorbing Ken's blood drop as it was his room card now .
well felt like there was no need to return to his rented house now because the room was like a flat and much bigger inside . there was a huge bedroom in sight from the door while at his left was the pill refining room and at right was the cultivation chamber with a tier 3 spirit gathering formation installed with formation flags. the flags were made of spiritual materials and acted as the medium to gather more spirit energy .
well to be honest the effect would be slightly lower than the formation he had inscribed inside the cultivation chamber of the rented house but ken was already planning to rewrite the runes on the flags to improve the effects much more than possible now . he could melt the flags and recreate them by adding more materials but it was a hassle and ken would have to explain the purpose of requesting the materials from the guild. he could buy them on his own but seriously the price would be too much for him right now .
ken just decided to relax on the fluffy bed which was more comfortable than the one at his home and wait for his first job to arrive . well it arrived too quickly as the communication array inside his room card sounded and suman told him that he had refine 20 sets of blood qi pills till his work time ends today . well he could refine them anywhere anytime and just had to present the final product to elder gentle tomorrow morning actually .
the herbs which were too many sets arrived through a small space tear and ken had only one thought inside his mind that this was too extravagant. the space transportation formation was actually a tier 4 spell formation which ken knew from his knowledge as he felt that the same formation was connected inside the whole building. this meant the goods could be transferred anywhere inside the guild instantly but seriously they must have spent a huge sum of points or resources because the sect has only one tier 4 formation master and of course he must be very expensive to hire. even the maintenance cost of this formation would be too much and ken didnt want to imagine it right now .
he counted and there were 200 sets of ingredients and ken had to only deliver 20 sets of refined product . ken had already showed 30 percent success rate but these rich people still sent him more sets of materials. of ken was glad as he could eat rest of the pills which would of course be top grade and only produce grade 4 or 5 pills from the remaining 20 sets of herbs . well he had only recieved instructions to refine 20 sets so he would deliberately refine 5 more to show that he is sincere with handling ingredients and didnt try to snatch some for himself .
welll of course he would snatch the rest of the ingredients for himself but from their perspective they would definitely that ken is a good man who properly used the ingredients and produced as many successful sets he could. at least elder gentle would think that definitely because he was the one who personally tested ken and thinks that he knows Ken's capabilities well .
it was worth Ken's time to refine all the pills at 4 th grade during the test deliberately. if he didnt do at least that much then there was no way that gentle would provide him with a relatively big job on his first . this must be the sect's order as others wouldn't need these many pills in bulk or maybe not but who cares as it was time for ken to refine some top grade pills and eat them like candies ....
