"So how are we going to do this?", Selene asks.
"We could go counterclockwise.", Max says.
"Or we could just use a bottle.", Spike says while placing an empty water bottle in the center.
Selene spins the bottle, and it lands on Max; turning toward Jackson, who looks bored. He gives him a soft smile before he asks the question.
"Truth or dare, love?"
"Dare.", he replies
"I dare you to slap Jareth across his face.", he says.
I end up biting my lip so I don't end up laughing. Which was hard concerning that Max and Spike were also laughing their asses off. Before long, I'm laughing with them. Selene gives me a dirty look before she rolls her eyes. Jackson slaps Jareth and spins the bottle, which lands on me. He gives me a smirk; now I fear him.
"Truth or dare, Angela?"
"Dare.", I stutter out.
"I dare you to… to kiss Spike."
My eyes go wide but then go back to normal since he didn't say I have to kiss him on his lips so I move toward him and give his cheek a peak. Which regressed to groans from Max and Jackson; rolling my eyes, I spin the bottle and it lands on Selene.
"Truth or dare."
"Dare.", she says.
"I dare you to be nice for the rest of the game."
Her face shows just how much she hated the dare I just gave her, but I don't care. She spins the bottle, and it lands on Jareth. Everyone's faces besides Selene and Jareth turn to dreadfulness; we all mentally prepare ourselves for what's about to happen.
"Truth or dare?", she asks.
"Truth."
That's the first time any of us said the truth. What is this girl planning? I just hope she asks nothing stupid or too personal.
"Is it true that you started hanging out with Angela to make me jealous?", she asks.
"Yes.", he says while spinning the bottle.
There was no hesitation to his answer, so he's been trying to get her jealous for a long time, which means everything he's down for the past months, we're all for her. I can feel the heat growing inside me and I try to push it down, but it's a little hard when there is so much. The bottle spins and spins until it lands on Spike, the last person.
"Truth or dare."
"Dare.", he says, not looking at him.
"I dare you to slap Max."
Three growls came out before I opened my mouth but I could not understand what I said; "De oep mjh he dnl? Nz ie hrlj N'bb vbmdbo de nh. (Do you want to die? If so then I'll gladly do it.)" Both Jareth and Spike's eyes go wide before they look at each other, then Jareth speaks.
"Smj oep pjdlgihmjd al? (Can you understand me?)"
I just look at him as if he grew two more heads. Jareth pushes when he moves toward Max, when the rush of heat comes back full force. "Tmglhr, dndj'h N imo nz oep mjhld he dnl, N epbd vbmdbo de nh? De oep jeh hrnjc N'a hrglmhljnjv? (Jareth, didn't I say if you wanted to die, I would gladly do it? Do you not think I'm threatening?)" He immediately moved, and if you looked close enough, you could see a little smoke. Max ends up laughing, and Jackson just smirks while giving me a thumbs-up; I shoot them a shy smile since I didn't really understand why they were doing it. He looks so scared but I don't pay too much attention; Selene seems to have other plans as she lets out a low fire which slightly burns, but when the heat is becoming even hotter, I let out a yelp. She just has a smirk on her face as she stops her fire from being seen. I snarl at her as I bare my teeth, which she backs; the heat in my body once again grows hotter and hotter until the room feels like the same temperature.
"She's trying you."
"She thinks you're weak."
"She's not wrong."
The voices are arguing as I let out a small growl, letting them know that this was not the time. The living room is no longer a living room but an area full of death; glancing around, I see many dead bodies. Turning my attention to Selene, I see her hand raised with a fireball. As she speaks, "Oep dmgl srmbbljvl al? Oep'gl tpih m znbhro rpamj! N ma mj lblaljhmb; je oep dnl! (You dare challenge me? You're just a filthy human! I am an elemental; now you die!)" Just as she threw the fireball, it moved me. Scanning the area, but I see no one; suddenly I hear the voice who talked to me before.
"You need to trust me."
"Okay.", I say.
"There's a path, north of you. Take it until you reach a tunnel, but don't go in it; go left to the water. There will be an angel waiting for you, but whatever you do, do not go to Leonardo. He's a fallen angel who believes what Selene does. Look for the angel who's blind; they will lead you out of this place."
"What about you?", I softly ask.
"I'll hold her off as long as I can, but you need to go now."
"But-"
"When in doubt, trust your gut!"
