Alfonso was walking slowly through the thick forest while thinking deeply. He noticed that he didn't need to sit or lie down for his body to digest his gains, just walking slowly was enough. Alfonso had a lot to think about after taking a step back and looking back at everything that happened.
'How does it work? I don't think that it was a coincidence that those monsters from the abyss accurately tracked me down after I killed a few boars...Was it the smell? Or something else?'
No matter how much he thought about it there were too many ways they did it, even ways that he couldn't think of.
'I won't figure it out on my own...It might be something illogical just like how the Abyss existing and overrunning Earth is illogical...'
He decided to put that matter behind and test it later to confirm some of his guesses.
'I have grown stronger after this battle and feel like I have reached a higher level. My Seismokinesis has finally turned into a power of pure destruction but...It's not sustainable, Shockwave Manipulation is still alright to use for a longer period of time but Tremor Manipulation exhausts me way too quickly as it drains too much stamina. It's good for a short amount of time to burst out.'
Alfonso realized that the way he used his Seismokinesis when attacking was still crude. He knew that it was because of his lack of experience. He kept his ability all these years secret and couldn't train it properly because it was too weak back then thanks to his circumstances.
'I need to work on that on this trip, it will take longer before I go back to Dortmund...'
He checked his GPS, confirming that he was heading the right direction.
Alfonso had been feeling something else beside the burning heat pulsating inside his body. He knew what it was but decided to leave it alone until it finished whatever it was going through.
He took it out from the mouth in his palm, surprised at the transformation that his blade went through. It had become a bit shorter, reaching 1.40 meters in length. It was still single-edged but it had changed. One could still see that it was made of bones that had turned completely dark with a metallic sheen covering it.
Alfonso frowned deeply, he had the feeling that he had seen that form somewhere before. He observed his blade from different angles, trying to remember where he had seen it before...
"Lord of the Rings...It's a much bigger version of an Long Elven Blade!" Exclaimed Alfonso after finally forcing that memory out. His gaze turned strange when looking at his blade, he would have ruled it out as a coincidence if the handle made of white bone hadn't turned into a blatantly copy of the iconic sword Orcrist from The Hobbit movies.
Alfonso remembered that he was fascinated by elven swords when he saw them in the movies, he wished at that time to own such beauty, but the same applied to katanas, he loved them too...
It wasn't a complete copy as its length, thickness and width were greater, making it difficult to categorize it.
'I would say that it is a longblade.' Decided Alfonso while looking at it.
An idea appeared in his mind while looking at it, 'Can't I fuse my Seismokinesis with it? Creating a fighting style that doesn't require wasting a lot of stamina while making it stronger?'
Alfonso thought that it shouldn't be too difficult as long as he put his mind into it.
He began to control his Seismokinesis, letting it enter his longblade. It instantly began to vibrate violently. Alfonso shook his head, it was too obvious.
He spent over an hour adjusting the frequency in which his longblade vibrated until finding the right output.
He hardly used any power to cut a tree in halves. His longblade produced a low sharp sound with every swing that was identical to the sounds that lightsabers made in Star Wars.
'It works! The stamina consumption isn't high while it became much sharper!' He was delighted that his years long training to control his Seismokinesis made things much easier for him now that he gained enough power.
Alfonso traveled slowly towards Hattingen while getting used to his new technique. It took him one day to reach the ruins of what was once a city. He knew that he could have arrived there in only 2 hours if he ran at his top speed but he did a detour after his fight.
He sensed the moment he entered Hattingen that something was off with the city. It had nothing to do with his Seismic or Vibration Senses but his gut feeling. Alfonso walked slowly on the main street, observing the ruins around him. There was hardly any building left intact, the streets were also in a bad state.
'There is no vegetation here.' Noticed Alfonso, it was as if nature refused to enter the city...
The bad feeling he had grew stronger and he went into alert mode, sensing the area of 145 meters around him.
It didn't take long until his senses showed him a group of people walking slowly towards him. He could tell from his senses that they weren't aware of his presence, so he thought about it and decided to meet that group.
Alfonso speculated that they were Slayers like him but he was disappointed when he saw the group with his own eyes. They looked like they escaped from a Mad Max movie with their messy clothes and strange helmets. He had a hunch who these people were but still continued to walk towards them.
They also saw him and picked up their pace.
"Look what we do have here guys, a lone little Slayer!" Said one of them loudly.
"His skin color is rare, we can sell him for a lot of money..." Spoke another one while licking his lips.
Alfonso looked at those 6 people inf front of him, not reacting to what they said.
"Hey kid! Lift your hands and lie down on the ground if you don't want to experience unimaginable pain!" Shouted another of them.
They noticed his lack of reaction to them, "It seems like it's too much for the kid, he is scared shitless hahaha."
They were now 10 meters away from him and he smiled faintly at them, "You are Scavengers from Köln right? You roam through the lands and should know a lot...That's perfect."
What he said stunned the 6 Scavengers, looking at him like he was an idiot.
