Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 – Throne of the Wild (1)

It was mid August at this time, and with the School Festival nearing, it was almost time for students to plan out what their class would be doing.

Aside from that meeting, Tristan was quietly listening at the suggestions of his classmates, as they pushed their own agendas which all revolved around the Three Beauties, namely Mae, Kaoru and Luna, all so they could see them in cute costumes.

Of course, with the meeting not reaching its aim, it was temporarily adjourned. During this time, Mae clapped her hands and made a beeline for Kaoru.

"Kaoru, want to go out this weekend?"

"Eh? Why?"

"Well, I was wondering, we could go out and find references of what would be good for the school festival, right?"

Kaoru thought for a while "Hmm... sounds good, I'm free this weekend anyway"

Mae smiled happily "Yey! Luna you want to come to?"

Luna who was sitting on the corner looked surprised, "Sure..."

"Are you guys planning on going out, this weekend?" Like the breezy wind, Keith entered their conversation in the most casual way possible.

"Yeah, We'll go to the Central mall" Mae said

"Central mall..." Keith said "In that case, we should go to"

"Huh, why? It was just supposed to be a girl's outing"

Keith made his special move, a dazzling smile fit for his face. "What are you talking about, Mae, it's the Central District, it's better to have a boy with you, you might get in trouble"

It was a completely logical reasoning, added with Keith's smile, any girl would agree immediately, however, the one he was talking to was his childhood friend, Mae.

"Really? In that case..." Mae turned back.

Keith had been puzzled by her series of actions, Mae made her way towards Tristan's desk. The boy was so out of it, he was staring at the board like he's about to pierce it.

"Blitz, do you want to hang out this weekend?" the way she phrased that so casually, while putting her hands together like she was pleading, belied how crafty Mae actually was. Had Tristan not felt the immediate threat of his life surrounding him from. All side he would have agreed instantly.

"Huh...! A-Ah, weekend? Sorry, I got a shift this weekend..." Tristan slowly backed away, making sure his retreat path was clear, while refusing politely as he could.

Mae's shoulders slumped with a clearly disappointed look. "Oh, you got a part-time job? Where? We can swing by"

"Ah, that..." Tristan break out in cold sweat, Mae's eyes were sparkling, he knew how persistent the girl was, but he can't tell her where he even works.

The immediate threat was near him, his classmates had been glaring at him all this time, anymore would kill him, but he took the resolve to take a deep breath and put his finger on his lips "Its a secret"

"Eeh? Why?"

"Because it's cooler that way!!"

Mae clapped her hands, with a bright smile, she seemed to by his joke "I see, it's more cool that way, let's hang out next time then"

Once she went back to Kaoru, Tristan collapsed on the desk, his neighbour, Luna smiled helplessly. The other day, they finally got acquainted formally, they found a common ground on some things, which could be considered a budding friendship.

"That was smooth..." Luna whispered.

"Please don't..."

Seeing how close Tristan threads at death's door, she gave him a little consideration for help.

"Should I talk some sense to her?"

"Please do..."

Saturday arrived, today was the day of their arranged that to hang out.

Luna came earlier than the designated time, but it was probably better than being late. She wanted to go halfway with Tristan on the way, but when she rang he doorbell on the boy's apartment, he was already gone.

Still having been standing on the front of the Central Station, she stuck out like a sore thumb, not because she looked weird, but every passer-by looked at her differently.

She was in a blouse with a cute design. A skirt with summer colors, every one that looked at her had their eyes stolen away unintentionally.

--Uuh... How long are they going to make me wait...

Luna grimaced, she wasn't used to attracting attention, but she definitely didn't like it as long as it wasn't uncomfortable, but having been standing in the Central station, she was feeling unease, as she might get cat called by someone.

Finally, after five minutes, Mae, Kaoru, Keith and his best friend finally came.

Mae wore a frilly cute dress that definitely screams girly, while Kaoru had a blouse, a simple skirt and stockings.

Keith also wore a comfortable looking shirt and jeans, no matter how he looked, he look dashing that every girl was looking at him with attraction.

"Luna, you look so cute, did you wait long?" Mae grabbed her hands with a smile

"Mm-mmm, not that long"

"Should we go?" Kaoru asked.

"Yeah"

In the Central District there stood the largest mall, or rather the only mall in all of Helheim city, but because it was large, it could accommodate thousands upon thousands of People.

There wasn't a particular destination the group had in mind but the purpose was to look for references of what would be good for the school Festival, it could be a cafe, an exhibit, or a play, anything.

They first made their way to the food court on the first floor, there was a ton of varieties of food starting with Japanese, Italian, and other types of cuisines.

"Nn~ this is delicious~"

Mae's voice started to waver at the taste of the crepes they bought on the food court. Both Luna and Kaoru agreed as they nibbled away with their mouths.

"This could be a good one, right?" having the objective to be on track with the aim of the outing, Keith voiced out his thoughts.

But even with the suggestion, they should be better off with more options, so after the crepes, they tested out other food stalls and went to different cafés.
