Chapter 11 - is it Magic?

5:00 AM. the time when the sun will rise and as it rises clarity was woken up by the light and went to the kitchen groggily to make some coffee and breakfast for both her and his brother.

"You've woken up this early?" she ask her brother while wiping her eyes. Lawrence looked at Clarity and gave her the coffee. "The higher-ups told me that i shouldn't be late today" he answered and began drinking the coffee.

"You mean father and his fellow generals?" she asked and smelled the coffee to know if there's something wrong with it. Lawrence saw her and said "That's the only thing i can do, there's no problem with it" clarity didn't believe him and took a sip.

"mmm! it is good! now i know you can do something in the kitchen" she said but Lawrence only rolled his eyes at her and sip on the coffee. "so why does father wants you to be early?" she asked.

"father and the other generals needed someone with experienced for the virtual cabin" he explained while reading the newspaper he got earlier.

"The army is going to play the virtual game? " she asked him surprised. "yeah, the government thinks its a good training for the army, and it is true the game was pretty realistic that the pain is almost like ones in real life" he answered but didn't look at her and kept on reading the news.

hearing his brother say it, clarity thought that no guns, no life might become a warzone and might start the very first Virtual World War. not knowing that what she thought of will really happen but that story is for another time.

...

entering the game, she was greeted by an energetic cub that pounce on her bosom.

"Sup little guy, have you been good cub while i was gone?" she ask not minding if it understood her or not.

carrying the cub she went out on her cabin and saw the huge mountain pile of logs, stones and ores. she looked at alvin and ask "what happened?" alvin was surprised to see her but calmed himself down and answered "well, you've been gone for 2 days now and we didn't know when you'll comeback. But Theo and Roland didn't stop cutting and mining so it only piled up here."

she walked to mountain piles of logs, stones and ores "okay let me clean it all up". Then the mountain pile vanished and appeared on her inventory. she counted the materials and got 890 Logs and 1478 Stones. she didn't bother counting the ores because it didn't matter yet.

"It's so nice to have a space storage" alvin said with admiration and went to the others to tell them that clarity is back.

Clarity walked to the bonfire and used appraisal on it.

...

This is a bonfire named the sour source.

...

"S**T! (POOP!). It didn't worked and what's with the 'put your tongue you might taste sour flavor'" she mumbled and used appraisal on it again.

...

[ The Source ]

A bonfire given by the goddess of hope to protect the travelers.

(can be upgraded)

! As it upgrades it will change and will become a house for the traveler to live on !

...

she looked at the new information and opened the upgrade panel to see the required materials.

...

[ The Source ]

Upgrade Materials :

• 100x Nails (Any quality, but the higher the better)

• 50x Planks (Any quality, but the higher the better)

• 100x stones (Any quality, but the higher the better).

...

'the required materials is the same as the house? don't tell me this will turn into a house?' now that she has enough materials to create a proper home for her and the people she didn't waste enough time and quickly upgraded it.

the flames of the bonfire grew and became as large as a house, alvin saw the flames and ask himself if it's magic but she couldn't find an answer because she didn't feel the gathering of fire elements nor the fluctuations so she went back to clarity and saw her standing near seeming like the flames won't burn her into ashes.

a few minutes later everyone gathered while they take a look at the flames turn into a house?

the settlers thought they didn't saw it clearly and wiped their eyes as if it was blurred by their active imagination and looked at it again, but it didn't changed not even a color or the shape. It's just a house.

they went to clarity wanting to ask some questions but when they did, no words came out because they're still shock of the huge change from a giant ball of flame to a very ordinary house. But the appearance wasn't ordinary though, after a few minutes Brandon took the charge and ask "is it magic?"
