clarity entered the forest excitedly while holding the Rubik's Staff. while walking she spotted a dear and pointed the staff on it, and that's when she realized that she doesn't know any spells!

the begginers guide didn't mention how to cast a magic spell, but she doesn't even have a spell on hand from the beginning. but she remembered that the staff gained her element mastery to earth, nature and metal. to make sure she wasn't cheated or anything, she opened her character stats and look at her ability tab.

after reading her skills. she realized that it wasn't an active skill so she can't cast any spells to hunt.

dissapointed, she went back to the path she walk through but after walking a few minutes she realized that she's lost.

"OH HELL NO! I WILL NOT STAY IN THIS FOREST WITHOUT ANYTHING TO DEF..."

*growl*

interrupted from her screaming, she looked at the source of the roar and saw a bear running towards her.

clarity thought of a plan and immediately executed it, 'cause if she didn't she'll die. she run to the lake that she saw earlier while getting lost.

When she was near the lake, the bear swiped her claws at her which she nearly escaped from, but because of this she had changed the route of her course.

looking at the staff that she couldn't use. "THIS STAFF IS A DUD!" she screamed while running away from the bear. she opened her character info panel and looked at her passive ability without hope and saw the word "control".

"why didn't i realized that?" she immediately sensed the elements around her and felt the nature elements around her, even though it's just a little bit of elements that she can sense. clarity controlled them to form a spear shape and with that spear that looks like a sharpened branch of a tree appeared and flew straight to the bear piercing its arms.

the bear roar with madness and fall on its arms, she didn't look back and kept running. when the bear saw her running away it quickly went back to where it came from.

looking back she didn't saw the bear chasing her and relaxed. "that scared the sh*t (poop) out of me!". After resting a bit she quickly hunted down some deers or rabbits that she saw and took out their meats. After killing ten deers she learned that killing neutral animals doesn't give her any EXPs, although they can give materials so it was worth it hunting them.

sensing the elements around again she immediately got the easiest path to go back on her settlement and took it. humming joyfully, thinking about the huge harvest tonight she's sure theo and the others will be happy with it.

*growl*

hearing the growl this time. she wasn't scared to face of the bear and immediately fought with it.

...

the spears in the body of the bear dissolved because the element supporting it was gone.

*whimper*

she heard and look at the tree where she heard the noise and saw a bear cub injured inside of it.

"Sh*t (poop) clarity, why did you kill it! your so dumb." she scolded herself. she didn't thought of the reason why the mother bear stopped chasing her earlier.

the bear cub look at her curious, scared and pained because of the wound on its belly.

she used appraisal to the bear cub and saw its information.

...

[ Golden Spirit Cub (Rank 1) ]

An offsprings of the a Spirit Bear and the Forest Guardian.

Status: Injured (Light)

...

she healed the bear cub using nature magic and carried it. "im sorry, i shouldn't have done it" even though she knew it wouldn't understand her, she still apologize. The cub look at her confused but when it saw its mother it struggled on her grasped.

letting the bear cub go, it run to its mother and tried to wake her up. seeing this scene her tears burst and turned around. "Clarity your so stupid!" she scolded herself while crying.

unknown to her the spirit of the mother bear saw that she healed her cub and felt a little grateful, she might not saw her cub grow up and become strong but what can she do? She also know it was her fault when she attacked clarity because she didn't know that she doesn't mean any harm, but she can't let any human get near on her cub because a human cause the wound on its belly.

she stretched out her paws and touch her cub, letting it know that she'll be leaving soon. not knowing the cause, the cub cried heavily feeling that it shouldn't let that go.

a few hours later when the sun is about to rise. the cub stopped crying and walk to clarity. seeing it go to her, she immediately carried the cub and went to its mothers corpse.

"i am sorry for what i did, and as an apology i will take of your cub in your place and let it grow up to be strong and healthy" she said and used the earth element to dig a pit for the deceased and made a tomb.

clarity looked at the little cub with empathy and sadness, because she knew how hard it feels to lose someone you loved.
