After school, me and Ana head straight back home since Ivan told me that we were needed back at home. When we arrived there, we change into a workout outfits and then headed to a small studio where it was soft wooden floors and mirrors across a wall. I looked confused as Ivan walks into the room with a guy right behind him."Hello guys,this is Ryan. he will be your dance instructor." Ana smile while I looked dumbfounded."You guy will be performing two dance at the gala for your presentation." Ana squeals while I stand there shocked.
Ryan start with us by listening to our two song that we would be performing and then we start with the choreography. We spend three hour on the first song until we decide to call it a day. I sat on the floor as Ryan approaches me."I need more of you. you are dancing so stiff, I need you to relax and go with the flow of your emotions." I nod as he smile and leaves. These are going to be some longs days.
Saturday
Michael p.o.v
It is the day of the gala and we were on the road already. I had my earbuds on as I listen to the two song so I can memorize the moves. i had to so show emotions and dance, but I have been struggling so we had to do something that I didn't expect to happen.
Flashback to Thursday night.
Me, Ana and my father were siting in my room as he sat in front of us. I have been having trouble to show my emotions in the dance so Ivan told us to meet him here since he figured out what do you."Okay.... I know Michael has been having problem with emotions so I talk with Ryan since he is a dragon as well. He recommended that both of you need to mark each other." I immediately stood up and paced my room. This is not I was expecting from him to say." I know that you will be connected, but it will be my choice, once your true mate comes then you can reject each other." I wasn't worried about that, but the fact that I would be in pain. Mine is full black with golden eyes and when my kind is marked, they can be in pain for hour to the point you mate without consent.
"Look.... I know this I going to be hard for y'all, especially Michael since you Ana are a kind of dragon that can change her DNA. Michael is a strong dragon so the pain for her is double than normal." Ana look at me before she turn to Ivan."Then it is a no for me. I can just change my eyes color so I can draw attention from Michael." I shake my head as I sigh loudly."We are going to do it. it's only choices and we can reject each other when the time comes. you could change your eye color, but it won't do the same effect when I am marked." Ivan nods while Ana stands up and takes my hands."Are you sure, you will be in pain when you are marked." I lead my forehead into her as it connects and I nod."I am sure." Ivan pats out back before he leaves us alone in my room.
Present day
Ana was sound asleep as her head was on my lap. The bond has grown stronger as our dragon interact with each other. I are able to mink link each other and know each other's feelings. I softly run my hand through her hair as I drank my coffee for some bit of energy. It was only 8 am and the gala started 9 pm, but Ivan wants to make sure everything was ready and that we rehearse the two song in case.
After two hours, we arrive to the place where the gala would be hold. Ana was a bit grumpy when I woke her up, but I carried her in my arms as we walk into the place which she loved. The place was huge than expected as I see the dance floor was very large and there was a stair case on the left of the room. I carry her to our room as I place her on the bed. She groan as I let her go and I took off my jacket."Come on, we need to practice since this place is very different than the studio." She sighs as she take off her PJs and change into something else. We soon head back to the main room as I see our choreographer set up the place and removing things that would be in our way of the dance."Okay lovers, it times to practice."
We start to practice our first song Destiny by Rich Miller. The meaning behind this is that I am coming out and choosing my destiny that was left for me while Ana is my strength to follow it. We do the dance perfect while I had to have a mask on. I was going to show my face at the end of the last song so I can hold the suspension of the crowd. We continue to practice for about two hours then we switch to the next one called I Promise You by Yoolee until we took at break, rested and ate something for the night.
9 pm
Gala
Me and Ana were getting dress in our matching dance outfit that our teacher gave us. I have a long black sleeve that had a golden dragon on the back with lines of scales on the sleeves. My pants were full black and the mask was as well. The only thing you could see from the mask was the holes that show my golden eyes. Ana outfit was black as well and it had golden claw marks on it. She wear a tight shirt with some black leggings. They did our make up as I look at my phone to see a message from Ivan saying that the guest were arriving already. I start to feel nervous as my fingers start to tap on the table. I start to distract myself from the people around me until I can only hear my breath.
I close my eye as I try to focus, but all the sudden warm hands were on my cheeks and I open my eyes stop stare at sky crystal blue eyes. Ana hold my cheeks as I looked around to see we were alone."Hey look at me." I look back her as she smiles softly and kisses my forhead."Everything will be alright. We will do the dances perfect and you will see it will go by fast." I nod as there is a knock on the door and a guard appears."It is time to take your places." I sigh as I grab my mask and put it on while Ana takes my arm as we walk out of the room. We were covered by the dark of the hallway as we reach the staircase and we stay there in the dark while Ana kisses my mask for good luck. She heads downstairs quietly as she takes her spot on the dance floor and everyone attention was on Ivan as he stand on the small stage.
"Hello everyone and welcome to this evening event. We are so excited that everyone was able to make it tonight and meet the new protecter for our people. This was not a easy choice since there was many talents out there, but we found the right person to take the lead for their kind and our people. TODAY The Black Dragon will be performing two dances for us today with its mate as well. places give your attention to the dance floor for The Black dragon and it's mate Ana garcia." Everyone claps as the light on the dance floor turn on and Ana is standing there, looking down with her arms crossed. The songs start to play as she start to dance.
"I can try to sing a song

But that just don't matter
When you're the missing key."
She extends her hand towards the stair where I was stand as I start to descend with a light shining on me.

I reach the dance floor as our hands connect quickly. Her eys were on me as they shine a bit dark red and I can feel the pull stronger than usual.

She pushes away from her as her back turns towards me. I rush back to her as I wrap my arms around her waist pulling her closer to me.
"Maybe you are my destiny."
She takes place her left hand on my shoulder as I take her right into my left hand while my right arm was wrapped around waist. We do the steps nicely as my forehead was on her while it was leading into the big throw where I send Ana up in the air. In practice I struggle a lot since I couldn't catch her correctly.
Flashback to practice
Ryan demonstrate the big throw as he grab Ana by the waist and push her up in the air as she does three spins and lands perfectly in his arms while he hold her left leg so he can let her stand nicely. He lets me give it a try while he stand close in case I couldn't catch her. I grab her waist and push her up as she does the three spins but I catch her fully to the point I almost trip. Ana get out of my arms as I strength my leg before we go again and try it again.

I grab her waist and push her up as she she perfectly spins three time in the air. I position myself as she land in my arms perfectly with my hand holding her right leg as she stand nicely. People clap softly as we continue with the dance.

We move away from each other as if we were pulled away, then I rush back to her from behind. She moves away as if the wind took her while I followed and then stops her as I wrapped my arm on her waist.

I left her go like if I was mad as I grab my head if I was questioning myself until she grab my head and connects it to hers.
"Two worlds collide

My left arm meets her as she circle each other than I pull her towards me.

We dance together as I lift her off the ground and spin her in the air until I let her down and do the same step again. Her red eyes were slowly starting to kill me from the inside as it was very strong.
"What if you are my destiny?"
I spin her as the song is slowly finishing as our back touches each other and we turn to the right as I take her left hand into mine. I am breathing hard as the song finishes and soon people were clapping and cheering on us. I look at Ana as she hugs me tight. I hug her back as we we get ready for the next song. This one is more emotional as it is someone that is trying to make a promise. A chair is brought out as Ana sit on it as she looks down to her hand while I stand far from her from the back. I close my eyes as I focus since this is where Ana will take off my mask.
I look down as the light dent a bit as the song starts

I walk towards her as I stand in front if her and kneel down.

I take her hand as I place my hand over my heart. She look the other way as a sign of disbelief on me.

we take step by steps slowly as I grab her from the waist and lift her in the air as I spin her before I let her down.

I let her go as I touch my head as if I was questioning myself. I place my fist over my heart as I walk back to her, spin her and gather her into my arms.

Our arms leak together as we circle each other before she lays her head on my chest. she then pulls away and connects her hands to mine.

We repeat the same steps and my heart rate spikes a bit since we were towards the end of the song. Ana smiles as grab her waist and lift her into the air again as I spin her.

I lower her down as she looks up to me with her dark red eyes.
"This I promise you."
The song end as Ana upclips the back of the mask and takes it off as the song ends. I look at her as we start into each other eyes as everyone stand up and cheers loudly. Ana kisses me softly before I take her hand and we bow to everyone."Everyone give a round of applause for Michael Garcia and Ana Garcia!" Everyone stands up as they clap harder as security leads out back upstairs to change.
once we got into the room, Ana squeals as she wraps her arm around neck."That was amazing! it was perfect!" she laughs as she pulls away and stares at me. I was smirking as she goes blank at stares at me weird."What is wrong?" She slowly start to back away as I walk towards her. Her back hits the wall as I place my hand on the wall as I lean in and was close to her face. our noses touch as she was blushing a bit."What was that kiss you have me after the song?" She look away nervous, but I make her face me again."The kiss.....was a way to show my .....love.....for you." I stare at her for a seconds until I give her a quick peck on her lip before I move away to change into my tuxedo."I understand, just next time give me a heads-up." She slowly nods as she goes to change into her dress. we quickly change and then security lead us out as we walk to the area where everyone was at.
Soon everyone noticed and they started to walk up to us and ask questions or wanted to take a picture with us. Ivan was able to pull us away from everyone as he lead up to our table."Great job guy and I have to say, was the kiss planned?" I can feel Ana feeling uncomfortable as I knew she was going to say no. I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her closer to me."It was, we need to show more than just emotions in the dances." Ana nods in agreement as we sit down at our table. Ivan leaves so he can let people know when they can meet us while Ana get closer to me."You have to say that? you know it wasn't plan?" I smiled as I look at her."I know, but we have to make people like us." I kiss her cheek as I lay my arm around her shoulders. she rest her head on my shoulder as she rest her hand on my stomach.
Ivan p.o.v
I walk away as I see people were excited to meet Michael. I see my old friend waving his hand in the air. Commander Adam stand there by the wall in a white suit with his silver hair and grey eyes."Ivan my man, how are you?" We shake each other hand as go me a drink."Everything is going well, let's talk in a quiet place." We walk to a balcony as we meet the moon light."How are you feeling that you have Michael or I should say Jessica in your house?" I sigh as I take a sip of my drink. "I am happy, but it is killing me that I haven't said anytime to her about her past." Adam nods as he understands.
Flashback
Michael is actually Jessica Garcia when she was with me. Her mother, Amanda, escaped the base trying to run away from James since he mistreated her so badly. When I got the call of a pregnant woman that escaped the base, I let her stay in my house until she gives birth to her child. What I didn't expect was to fall in love with her so deeply that I kept her in my house. She was so sad that the child was going to be someone else, but I kept telling her that I would raise it as my own. She found out about a gene swap that me and my team were developing and begged me to switch the gene of the child to mine.
I did it and the child had my DNA that showed that I was her father. The gene swap also changed her dragon into a black dragon and have her an ability to move things with her hands. A little girl was born and we named her Jessica Garcia as her mother suggest it. Her eyes were blue at first, but when she turn two, they switched to golden became of the gene. My daughter lives with us for two years, before one night assassins broke into my house and took her away while they kill her mother. I was so broken that it took me three year to find her until I receive a message of a little girl that had genes of a black dragon.
When I saw the my girl after three years, I saw she was so happy and yet so strong. I then realized that they gave her to her father as I saw them walking together. since then, I watched her every single time I visit the base, but I never got close at all.

"I have shown her things and include she is staying in her own room, but it is like someone completely block those memories away from her." Adam nods as we stand outside for about an hour talking until the gala was over. We continue to chat until a guard walk to me."sir, something is wrong with Michael, you are needed in her room immediately." I look at Adam worried as I follow the guard with Adam right behind my tail. We rush upstairs as I can see more guards piling into the room as I can her Michael yelling."LEAVE ME ALONE!" I rush in to see the while room destroy, some guards were on the floor knocked out, Ana was trying to get Michael under control, but she had no luck so far. Michael looked pale and frantic as she pushes Ana away from her. Ana see me as she rush to me with worry eyes."She was fine while we greeted the people that were leaving until some guy pulled her to the side and talk to her. she came back to my side looking a bit pale until I can feel pain that was from her chat and the back of her head."
Michael grabbed her head as if she was in pain of something. I walked up to her as I stop her as I grabbed her shoulders. Her eyes were closed as her knees gave up and she kneels down to the floor. I kneel in front of her as she opens her eyes and looks at me with her left eye was crystal blue as she looked at me surprised."Why did they took me away?" She wraps her arms around my chest as she hold onto me tight. Adam looks at me worried as if he knew something could have happen to cause the change of her left eye. Michael was crying softly for a few minutes until I can fell her grip loosen and I see she was sound asleep. I put her up and place her in the bed while Adam cleared the room to me only me and Ana. He is a medical doctor so I trust him as he check Michael to see if she is okay.
Once he finished check her, Ana sit by her side, while Adam leads me outside of the room."I am going to say is that whatever that stranger told her, it triggered a memory in her that caused her to act like that. it looked like she calmed down when she saw you." I nod as I look through the door to see Ana holding her hand. I wish I could have more time to get to know her more, but looks like I will have to tell her the truth. I wish this wouldn't have happen at all.
One year later
Michael p.o.v
I slowly open my eyes as sunlight hit my eyes. I look to my clock to see it was Saturday 9:45 am. I stretch as I look to my left to see Ana sleeping soundless as I kiss her cheek and run my hand through her hair. I get up from the bed as I head to the clothes and change into an outfit. I head to the bathroom to do my business. I look in the mirror to my eyes as I brush my teeth. My left eyes stayed blue since last year of the gala. My father told me the truth of where I came from and I was shocked that my gene was switched to his when I was in my mother's belly. He also told me about how he found my mother and how she was so broken because of my father James. I stare at my blue eye as it reminds me of James and it makes me feel sick.
Small arms wrapped around my waist as I see Ana layed her head on my back."You look beautiful Michael even if you have a piece of James." I turn around as she lean into me on my chest."You have no idea how I feel Ana. I feel like half of me is from something that is sickening." She touches my cheek as I close my eyes to her touch."It doesn't effect who you are at all. come on, we have things to do today and I think you are taking me out for shopping." I smile as I open my eyes and she leave to get ready.
Today me and the team are going shopping since we all need a break from mission and training. we have been in 20 missions in total and so far they have all been fun and dangerous. We almost lost Lucas in the last one, so we decided to take a break so we can relax and gather our thoughts. I head downstairs to see Ana wearing a white crop top with jean short and her black boots. Jacob was wearing blue jeans, white shirt and white shoes. The twins were wearing the same as Jacob only Luke's shirt was blue while Lucas's shirt was red. I had on a black shirt with black slim jeans with my boots. I had on a black sleeve on my left hand to cover my mark since human weren't comfortable around us. We all head to the car as Jacob hops into his black truck with Lucas and Luke while I hop into my BMW with Ana on the passenger seat.
