I hear sound around me as I open my eyes to see I was in a dark room. I slowly sit up to see I was in a white outfit and no one was around me. Pain explodes through my left arm as I see half of it was gone. I stand up and I see a mirror standing there as it wasn't there before. I walk up to it and touch it to see my hand through it. I take a deep breath before walking through and I land in a bedroom that was huge."What is this place?" I turn around to see myself in a bed sleeping deeply. I walk up to the monitor and see my heart rate stayed in 64. "Okay, another check up for her." I turn around to see two guys walk in into the room and I recognized Mark while he stood with another guy. I wave my hand in front of them and they couldn't see me.
"It had been two weeks already that she is asleep and Marcus is driving everyone crazy. Babe is there anything that you can do to wake her up or make her to react to someone?" Mark shakes his head to the guy as he grabs a clipboard and writes down information of the monitor."I can't Joshua, so far she is just asleep ...I don't know what we can do to wake her up. She just need time to heal and wake up...I hope she doesn't take forever." The Joshua guy walks up to me and takes my hand."If you can hear me Michael, can you please squeeze my hand?" I look at my hand as I can feel his skin on me and I squeeze it in hope he can feel it."Omg, she squeezed it, babe come and feel it!" Mark take my hand and I try again as a smile appears on his face."Joshua, go call Marcus! he needs to feel this!" Joshua leaves the room as I look over my body until I feel a someone behind me. I turn around to see a dark figure standing before me and walks towards me." it is time to wake up." He pushes me back as I can feel myself going into my body and darkness surrounds me.
The monitor beside me beats as my heart rate picks up back to normal and Mark looks away from me. The only person I trust this Mark and probably Joshua. I open my eyes as Mark see me and start to disconnect the mask from my face."Hello, my name is Mark and I am only here to help you. I am not your enemy...you gave us a scare when we almost lost you." He removes the mask as I am able to breath on my own and I sit up, but hiss my pain from my ribs."Where am I?"He stops what he is doing as he tries to make up a lie."Never mind...you wouldn't even tell me at all. But can I at least have some clothes." he noticed that I only had a sport bra on and some short. He blushes red as he opens a draw and hand me some sweats with a black shirt."They don't belong to me, but he will let you borrow them." I nod as I put them on careful with his help since my left arm was missing.
After I was changed, Joshua walks back in with another guy behind him and I noticed his strong power right away. What triggered me the most was that a strange connection I felt for him like Daniel, but stronger. The guy looked at with his golden eyes as a smile appeared on his face. He looked familiar, but I couldn't place it at all as he looked at Mark."Can you please see if you can contact my brother's guardian so they can come to help me out." Mark give him a small bow and leaves as he leaves me in the room with Joshua and the guy. I am high alert since I didn't trust them at all as Joshua noticed it right away."Ummm hi, my name is Joshua and this is Marcus....we are not your enemy here." I smirk as in the corner of my eye I see a sword on the side."You should have think about that when you guys brought me here and I don't know where I am." The guy continues to stare at me as it was starting to bother me as I quickly grab the sword and the guy rushes towards me. I swing at him as he dodges it and goes to punch me in my side, but I kick him faster. Joshua swings at me, but I step back and roundhouse him as the guy comes at me again, knock me down to the floor. He sit on me as I send a blast of my force to him, send him to the wall. I see Mark walking in as I pick up the sword and charge towards a window as I break the glass and I fall down to the ground. I roll in order to prevent any injuries as I get up and start to run as fast as I could. I run pass people as I notice I was in a town surrounded by walls all around me. I see your guards walking towards me as another guy is leading them to me. I take in a sprint as I run pass houses and yards until I was knock to the ground by someone. I look up to see a girl smirking as she take out some cuff to put on my legs."You are not going anywhere." I smirk as I kick her away from me and break the cuffs easy as I take off running again. I hide in a ally as guards run pass it and I take a deep breath. I sit down to catch my breath as I try to think where in a map was this location at.
Hours pass by as the sun was starting to go down and soon it will be dark for the chance to escape from this place. I look from my hiding spot to see no guards as I walk out and grab a long coat that was outside of a store. I start to blend in with the crowds as I make my way to the entrance of the place, but someone pulls me from behind and I land on my back.
"You can't escape that easily Michael, there is no where to run." I look up to see the same guy that was chasing me as I slowly stand up."You are right, I can't run if you are in front of me." He looks confused as I kick him to the ground and start to run towards the entrance."Don't let her escape!" Guards came after me as I start to fight them and killing them there. I can feel my energy starting to worn down since I haven't ate anything. people were screaming as they were getting away from where I was and more guards started to pour as I continue to fight. I start to feel wind behind me as I stop and turn to see Axel and Daniel landing softly. I rush to Daniel as I wrap my around around him and hold him tight."Whoa Michael.....What happen to you?" I let him go as I can hear the guards shifting towards us and I hear someone calling them off. Marcus appears as a sigh of relief appears on hi face.
"You arrived...I was hoping you find her."I sudden got confused as Marcus stand a few feet from us. I remove myself from Daniel arms as I stand between them and I feel the connection again. I felt a pull more from Marcus and at the same time one from Daniel, but a bit weak. I try to process in my mind, but it was too much as my knee buckled and Daniel is the first one to catch me. My mind start to get heavy as I things started to flood my mind as Daniel tried to calm me down and help me, but he was hopeless.
I can feel that was shifted from Daniel arms to someone else and I open my eyes to see Marcus hold me as he softly spoked to me."Its okay, relaxes and block everywhere you are seeing and hearing. Clear you mind so you can relax." I try to relax, but my mind was getting more pain as I start to whine and I can feel Marcus holding me tight. "Wait, take off your shirts so you can make physical contact to it can help her." I try to look who said that, but I couldn't move my head at all."Are you sure brother, do you give me permission?" I start to whine more as I can feel myself getting in more pain then normal and my head was starting to spin. I can feel someone hold me up as I whine and groan more as someone rips something then someone rips my shirt leaving me in my sport bra expose. I am placed back into someone arms and I see that Marcus had me in his chest and layed my head on his neck. Slowly the pain started to wear down and all the sudden start to purr as I start to feel comfortable. The warmness start to get me sleepy as Marcus kisses my forehead and I fall asleep in his arms.
Marcus p.o.v
Michael started to purr and slowly start to fall asleep in my arms. I could see the pain in Daniel's eye as he knew we were connecting already and he can feel it his connection was weak. I pick her up in my arms and slowly make my way back to my house as the guards made way for me, Daniel and Axel. I go straight to my room and lay her back into my bed as I cover her small body with my blanket. I head to the lab where I see Mark examining Daniel while Axel looked at me. I signal him to follow to my office as I close the door so we can talk." It has been a while Axel...how is my brother doing?" He shakes his head as I pour him a cup of scotch."He is stubborn as always.....he doesn't have that much time left. I hope Mark can tell us how much he has left." I nod as I give him his glass and I pour myself one as well. "I wants to ask you something Marcus...Why is Daniel's connection weak while your is stronger?" I sigh and sit down on my chair and start to explain everything that happen the passed two weeks. I explained to him what the plan was and it was changed when Michael was in the car accident. Axel stays quiet and listen to every detail.

I wake up again tired as I see that I was back in the same bedroom from last time. I slowly sit up as the door opens to reveal Mark, Joshua and a girl behind him."Hey Michael, ummmm this is a clothes designer and she will be taking your measurements for some new clothes since you are missing your left arm while Joshua will take measurements to build you a new arm." I nod as I am told to stay up so they can take my measurements. The woman makes sure that she get the right mess for new shirt for me that will cover my arm in the meantime Joshua builds my arm. After they take my measurements, Mark gives me a long black sleeve shirt but check my arm to see if it has healed.
He remove the bandages as it should what is left of my arm and it was nicely healed."Okay, this is good news...now you should be able to move more, but your arm may be sensitive then it was." I nod as he cleans it and help me put on the shirt and fold the sleeve that is left and tapes it so it doesn't hang around. He also makes sure that I was in good shape so he an put me in his system. "Where is Daniel?" This was the first words I said as he turns towards me and smile."Finally you speak! Daniel is with Marcus dealing with some issues, but don't worry. Everything is alright, okay?" I nod as he continues until the door open and Axel walks in with a uniform that I have seen when I was trying to escape."Hey Michael, how are you feeling?"
I only nod as I looked away since I was still trying to figure out where I was. Mark leads me out of the room and to a lab as I see Joshua on the computer and two people sparing on a mat."Jane, Zack come and meet Michael!" They stop and the guy throws a knife towards me, but as it came to me, I get out of the way, spined around as I grab the handle and threw it back to him. It went pass his face as it sticks to the wall very deep. The guy smile as the girl shakes her head and try to take it out."Oh I like her." I walk up to where the knife was as the girl tried, but fail to and I grab the handle and pull it out while she looked shocked that I was able to pull it out.
They walk up to me as the girl extend her hand out."Hey, my name is Jane and this is my brother Zack." I shake both of their hands before Mark lead me to a bed and start to take out blood so he can put me into his system. As he was doing it, Axel get close to me and I whisper to him."What the hell is going on here Axel? it looks like you know these guys?" He sighs as he nods."I do, but Daniel and Marcus will explain you more about that." I nod as I see Marcus and Daniel wall into the lab as both of their eyes land on me.
"Michael, can you please come with me.....there is something I need to tell you." Daniel hold his hand out waiting for me to take it. I place my hand on his as he holds it and takes me out to a garden where we sit on a bench. He holds both of my hands and sighs before looking at me softly."I need to be honest with you since soon or later you were going to find out.....I am sick Michael. I am slowly dying and I have been like this for years now." I don't move or say anything and he continues.
"I only have about a year left since I spend my time out of my crystal and that is the only thing that kept me alive all of these years. I know I will not be about to spend more time with you, so your destiny is to be with my brother Marcus. Him and I did spell with a powerful witch that once I died, your mate will be him then anyone else. The though of you been with someone that I don't know.....scared me so I gave your hand to Marcus. That is why you feel out connection weak while his is very strong. I want you to spend your time to get to know him and who he is. It may hurt me, but you guys need to get along for things to work out and I know that you are in safe hands."
I don't say a thing as I think about what he said. It slowly piece this together and the reason of why I was here in this place. Daniel removes his hand from mine as he looks away with a sad look."You can be mad at me....I don't blame you since I never told you anything." I wraps my arms around his chest as I hugged him tight. He was taken my surprise, but he move me to his lap and hugs me as well."I understand why you didn't tell, at least now you told me about it. I want to be with you until your last days and I won't hurt you with your brother." He smiles as he rubs my cheek."I love you Michael, you know that right?" I smile and nod and he kisses my forehead until a throat clears from beside us as we see Marcus standing here."Sorry, I didn't want to interrupt, but I think it is the to go brother. Don't worry about Michael, I will take good care of her and risk my life for her." I can feel my cheeks blush pink as we stand up and they hug each other as a goodbye. Daniel turn towards me and give a passionate kiss before hugging me tight."I will be waiting until it's time to take me out." I nod as Axel appeared beside him and nod to us before take off into the air. I look at Marcus as he smile softly to me. "Lets go inside so I can tell you who I am." I nod as I walk back into the house and him right behind me.
Two weeks later
I was in the couch reading a book about golden dragons when all the sudden a figure stand behind me."What are you reading love?" Marcus take the book from my hand and reads the title before giving me a look. I smile as he closes the book and put it on a table."Why read that when you have the real thing in front of you." He help me to my feet as he take my hand and kisses it.
I have learn a lot been here for the pass two weeks. Marcus has explain to me about all this war and it made me realize that I was in the wrong side. I have been killing other dragons without know that they were fighting back to protect their land. I also found out that Marcus been the Golden Dragon is the leader or King of all Dragons and I am his Queen. I also found out that I am a rare kind of dragon since I am a mix of a golden dragon and a blue dragon because of my father's gene swap. Marcus has been nice to me and tells me everything that I need to know include about his family history. His group has also treated me very nice and they enjoy my company with them as they claim that Marcus hasn't looked this happy in forever since I can here. Marcus has also try his best not to connect to much to me since he was also respecting Daniel and he doesn't want me to forget him at all.
Me and Marcus head to the lab where I see Joshua still working on my arm while Mark was beside him helping him out, Jane and Zack were sparing as always and Author stand there shyly. Author is my person guardian that Marcus assigned me in case he wasn't around. he is only 16, close to my height and has brown eye with hazelnut hair. He is also a mechanic so he does help around here whenever they need him."Author, I am leaving Michael in your care, I am heading out for a business trip and I want you to keep her company." Author nods and walks to my side as we head to the platform of the private jet he has. He gives me a hug and kisses my forehead as a servant take his bags into the jet and he follows him. I wave as the jet takes off into the air and Author leads me back inside to see the gang all dressed up to go out."what is going on here?"
Jane smirks as she grab a coat and puts it over my shoulders. She grab a arm sling and help me put it on."we are going to the town, Marcus has kept you in here too long and you need fresh air so we are going shopping." I slowly nod as we leave the house and walk to the town. Many people give us a small bow as we all pass by stores and houses. Author stayed by my side the whole time and he barely said a word since he was always nervous around me."Author, can you please talk to me instead of been a quiet pole standing next to me?" He looks surprised as I said that and he smiles."Y-yes, I am just not used to that since I orders is just to take care of you. Marcus doesn't want me to screw up so I try my best."
I nod and we continue to talk so I get to know him. He was an orphan at the age of 6 and was taken into Marcus guardian program where he learn from the best to protect dragons. He has protected a few people, but I am his most important one and he is scared that if he messed up.... Marcus would kill him without any warning. I learned that Marcus has a bad temper and when something goes wrong, he goes full killer towards the person that is responsible. I haven't been able to see that in first hand since Mark says that I am making him better then he used to be. We spend hours in the town shopping a few things for me until we head to a good court to grab dinner. I stand there looking at the menu unt I feel someone tapping on my shoulder. I turn around to see a young boy in a long coat and a worry look."please miss, can you help me?" Before I could respond, the boy grabs my hand and pulls me away from the group without them knowing as we walk away into an ally."Ummmm, what is the problem kid?" He continues to look around until he turns to me."You are the problem." He take out a knife and stab it into my chest as my eyes widen in shock.
"You are the reason my father is dead and you are the one killing all of us knowing that you are like us. You are a cold blooded killer." He pushes the knife deeper as I can feel blood on the side of my mouth."Oh I am the cold blooded killer! And what are you....you are a young man trying get revenge of something that happen on the battle field? You a cold blood killer just like me only that you know what you are doing while I didn't know your father was a dragon." He looked confused and I continue to push forward."Before I killed him, he confess to me of what I was doing and I had order that I must kill him, the last thing he said was not to go after his family. I am going to respect his wish and not kill you, but someone might be the one to kill you." He gets angry and twisted the knife as I wince in pain and hold on his arm and I slide to the ground.
"Your....your lying! You just want to redeem yourself!" I smile as I look at him."I don't need to redeem myself, you can hear my heart beat and you can tell that I am relaxed meaning that I am telling the truth. Who is the cold blooded killer now?" I can see the gang rushing to me as Zack takes the kid to the ground and handcuffs him quickly. Author check the wound and pulls out the knife as Jane lay me down to my back."Her wound is very deep, it could heal, but she has no condition to heal fully. Unless she has skin to skin contact with Marcus, she couldn't heal." Mark started to apply pressure to my wound while Author took his phone out and started to call someone. I started to feel dizzy and closed my eye for a bit until I open them from the sharp pain as Mark pressured the wound. Author pick me up and they rush me back to the house into Marcus room instead of the medical bay."Wait....Why am I here?"
I try to sit up, but Jane pushes me down."Marcus is coming so you need to be here, Joshua we need bandages, alcohol and pain killers. Zack take the kids to the cell and make sure he watched. Mark start to clean the wound and see if you can stop the bleeding for a while until Marcus gets here. Author stay at the medical lab for now while Marcus gets here and I am going to monitor on the jet." Everyone follows Jane's orders and get to work as Mark and Joshua take off my coat and the shirt. Joshua gives me the pain killers as mark works on cleaning the wound and then start to wraps it. Joshua gets me into a sitting position as I whine in pain and Mark works quickly. I start to feel dizzy and nauseous as I hold my mouth and Joshua get the idea. He grab a bucket and I puke all of lunch before they lay me back down. My head was spinning as Mark hooked me to a monitor and makes sure I am comfortable for when Marcus arrive.
I just hope he doesn't kill anyone.
