Flashback
I stand by the table that had a map while Alex, Ana, Jacob, Luke and Lucas stand around the table waiting for me to say something. Behind me, my father layed their cold and lifeless on a table."I know my father wouldn't want me to just sit and not finishes what we started...I want everyone to continue to map out the rest of the map we need. I want to make sure we have every single detail so we can find everyone else and get supplies. I am going to go and find someone we need that will helps us. I will be back in a few days." They all nod and I head to my room and grab my things. I grab my sword and clip it to my back as I walk out of our hideout.
It is time to meet my mate.
Present
Michael p.o.v
We arrive at the house and everyone goes there separate ways. Me and Ace head to my room and he closes it shut. "Look Michael...I need to you to listen to me and don't interrupt me. You need to know what will happen tomorrow in train for you." I nod as we both sit down on the floor."Tomorrow will begin your training with Ivan, it may sound fun, but there will be things that he will do to make you strong. There has been girls or boys that have go through training of Ivan and many of them are killed in the training. His training is very high level and if you make a mistake.....you will be punished." I think about what he said as I stand up and walk to the windows. "How did The Black Dragon survived if all the others died?"
He stands up and stands beside me."He was lucky that he survived...there was one test that he was close to death and he surprisedly survived. He was beaten and as they continue, they slowly started to break him. I want you to be careful and please do not make a mistake." He looks at me serious and I nod to assure him. He pads my shoulder and leaves the room quietly. Once he left, a smirk appeared on my face and look under my bed and grab a sword that I found. I quickly change into my black suit and I grab a mask that I made. I put it on as I open my window and I start to climb out. I scan around until I start to climb the side to the house until I reached the roof. I close my eyes as I breath in and out before I open them and I start to practice my moves. I lean my body move in a steady speed as I pretend to fight someone.
I stop after I was sweating and drops were falling on the roof. I looks out to see the view of the moon as I admire it. I start to walk to the edge and I start to climb down the roof until I feel my leg slip from the edge. I start to fall from the cliff and I cross my arms waiting for the impact of the water, but all the sudden I feel arms wrap around my body and wind start to blow in my ears. I open my eyes to see I was in someone bare chest. I look to see it was a guy that was flying with blue wings. I see the outline of his chest and his abs as well as his wings. His dragon mark run down his chest as he continue to fly into the bright night. I tried to see his face, but he covered it with a mask. I see we reached an island as he slows down and we land softly.
I stay frozen in place as the boy's wings fold in his back to just leave marks of wings on his back. He start to walk and soon I start to follow him cautiously . We walk through the forest until we reach a dark cave. He grabs a stick and fire the tip with his finger. I looks back at me and guesters me to follow him. He start to walk down the cave and I follow right behind him. As we got deeper into the cave, I noticed ancient carving on the wall and a dragon carved out of a rock. We continue to walk until we got into a huge room that was lighted up by light beadles that were on the wall.
The boy blows the stick and puts the stick on the floor. He takes his mask off and I stare into his silver eyes. He black hair was in a small bun and he looked like he was 16. He grabs my hand and lead me into the middle of the room where a crystal was formed. He takes my hand and places it on it and the crystal started to glow until I could see a figure inside of it. It was a young man around the age 19 that was there with his arms crossed, a black long sleeve shirt and with black pants.
The boy pulls down my sleeve to reveal my mark glowing golden and the young man arm was glowing red. The boy pulls my hand away and the glow start to fade away. "Who are you?" he smile and he gives me a bow." My name is Alexis, I am a guide for the The Black Dragon." I stare at him confused as pointed the crystal."Who is he?" He smiles once more as he touches the crystal, but it doesn't glow."This is Daniel, the son of The Black Dragon and your future mate." my eyes widen more as I walked around the crystal. This can't be happening...he is my mate?"Why is he in there?"
Alexis follows me with his hand behind him."His father wanted to protect him from the world and when he found out the human wanted to track down his son, he called me and we formed a crystal around his and only his mate would be able to take him out. His father told him about it and Daniel agreed with him. Me and his father formed a crystal around him to protect him and keep him away from the humans."
He grabs my hands and smiles."I am truly honor to meet his mate, but I wanted to bring you here so you can see him. It is not his time to come out, but when you think it is time.....stand on the roof of the house and I will know you are there." He places his hand on my head and darkness surrounds me.
Morning
I wake up on my bed and I remember what happened last night. I slowly get up and get dressed into my training uniform and I put on my sleeve. I put on my boots and check under my bed to see Alexis put my sword under my bed. I leaves my room and head to the training room. There was a table with weapons on it, a count number on the wall and there was four guards on each corner. the room looked very advance in tech as there was advance computer and weapons that I have never seen before. I waited for a bit until the door open to see Ivan walking in with Ace right behind him. They both hand uniforms on and I walk towards them."Welcome Michael to training! I will personally train you and Ace will be the second commander if I am not here."
Ace step forward and doesn't show the worried boy that I talked yesterday."You will only speak when spoken to and you will obey every single command we give you....even the most dangerous one. You will follow every instruction and if you don't....there will be punishment. If you talk when not spoken to.....punishment, if you make a mistake in the training..... punishment, if you disobey an order from me or Ivan.... punishment." I realized that Ace didn't wanted to tell me that he will be involved with my training because he knew I wouldn't corporate with it at all. I nod to show them that I understand. Ivan claps his and a smirk appears on his face."Well since we cleared everything... let's begin."
Ace p.o.v
Michael tried to hide that she wasn't surprised that I was here, but I could tell in her eyes she was shocked. Ivan begins to train her with some defense and blocking. I watch them as I stand over a button that control the number count on the wall. I continue to watch until Michael made her first mistake.
I pushed it and the number 1 appeared on the screen. As they continue the lesson, she made more and more mistakes until they finish and the number was 10. Ivan then gave her a sword and they start to train on stands and new movements. I start to get nervous since I know what Ivan does on the first day of training. I continue to click on the button until they finished and the number was 25. Ivan signals me as I take a deep breath and walk towards them."Well Michael, I want to see where you stand I you were in a fight. I want you to fight Ace If it was for your own life." I can tell right away Michael though he was joking. Ivan pulls me to the side while Michael got ready.
"Don't disappoint me Ace, charge at her and I want to see where she really stands." I nod before turning around and taking a deep breath. I just hope she forgives me.
Michael p.o.v
I get into position and waited until Ivan ranged a small bell. Ace came charging towards me and barely missed me by a few centimeters. I stay in stock as I understand what Ivan meant about that. Ace swings again and he manages to cut me in my arm. I start to block his swings, but I was too slow as he got me again on my leg. I fall to my knees and I put my sword above me as I block another swing from him. Sweat dripped my face as he stares at with begging eyes to fight him back. I pushes him in the stomach and that send him to the ground. I stand up in a hurry as he recovered fast and I dodge a swing from him.
I tried to continue to stand until he gave a huge blow that knocked the sword from my hand and he sliced my stomach. I fall to the ground as he wiped the blood from his sword on his sleeve. Ivan called someone and soon I saw a man coming up towards me and started to remove my suit until the layer of a black shirt to show my stomach. He puts his hands on my stomach and I can feel it was starting to heal it fast. He has them on my stomach for a few more seconds until he removed them and it only leaves a scar. I pull down my shirt and I go to grab my upper suit, but Ace takes it and a guard helps me stand up.
"Well.....it looks like you are not what I expected Michael.....I though you were going to show me more than I wanted." I stand there nervous as Ace went to a table and pushed another button and two small pilers start to rise from the ground and each one show a hand cuff. I can feel my hand start to sweat as Ivan walk up to me."As Ace said.....for the mistakes you make, there would be punishment and you reach the number 35." A guard pushes me forward and start to lock my hand in the hand cuffs. I go to open my mouth, but out of the corner of my eye I can see Ace eyes widen as if he was begging me not to say nothing. I keep my mouth shut as the guard rips my shirt to expose my sport bra, my back and ripes my sleeve as well. My heart rate raises as Ivan walks to a table and grab a whip. He takes of his upper part of his suit to leave him with a white shirt. He walks behind me as Ace clicks the button and nods at Ivan.
Pain spikes my back as the whip impacted my back. I grudge as he hit me again. I see the number went down to 33. He continued to strike me as I tried to hold my cry until I let it out. My knees gave up and I fall onto them as I panicked hard."GET UP MICHAEL, YOU WILL STAY STANDING UNTIL I AM DONE!" I can feel my back giving up as blood ran down to the floor. I let out a shaky breath as I slowly stand up and tried to hold myself up. He continued to swing hard as I let out a cry every single time until it was becoming into a roar. My mark was glowing bright gold as he continue and few minutes later he stopped. The floor was wet from my blood as I falled to my knee from the pain that was running through my body. His shirt was covered with my blood as he was breathing hard as well. A guard walks up and unhandcuffs me as my hands fall down beside my side.
I had my head down as Ivan approached me and crouched beside me. He pull my hair from the back of my head and lifts it up so I can see him. He had a frown as the healer comes to me and start to heal my back. He tries his best to heal me, but he stops and looks confused."I can't heal her....there is an energy in her that is preventing me from healing her."
Ivan sighs as he points to my chest."You must learn to control your dragon if you want to continue training with us." He lets me go as he stands up. Two guards walk up to me and they pick me up from my arms as they drag me out of the room. We walk pass by the living room and I can see Marco raising his head as he looked at my state. He followed us as we came to my room and they layed me on my bed. They left and Marco stand there as he looked at my back."What are you staring at....are you just going to stand there or are you going to help?"
He blinks out and he rushes into the restroom to grab a towel and some water. He start to clean my wounds as I hold the pain from the stinking of the water on my skin. Once he finished, he brought some bandages and helped me wrap my back. He gives me some painkillers and leaves me to rest.
I close my eyes as they get heavy and before I knocked out, I can see my mark was glowing brightly on my arm.
Few hours later
Night
I hear footsteps in my room as I open my eyes and I try to grab my sword from under my bed, but a warm hand stops me and I look up to see Alexis standing close to me. I can see his abs since he didn't have a shirt on and I blushes a bit. I can tell his skin is soft and muscular, but I snap out as he waves his hand in front if my face."Hello, eyes up here please." I blushes hard as he smirk and looks at my back."My master told me about what happen to you. He send me here to heal you." I looked at him suprised as he started to take off the bandages."My mater talks to me all day and he makes sure I am watching over your. When you places your hand on the crystal, you woke him up and connect to him immediately. He started to ask me who were you and was I watching to keep you safe."
He placed his hands on my back and I can feel energy running through my body."Right now he is not happy that I have my hand on you back, but he know I am just helping you." I smirk as I heard my mate was jealous."Does he really care about me if he hasn't seen me?" Alexis smiles and chuckles softly."He is seen you through my eyes and his soul can sometimes take over my body. He really was to mark you as his, but I keep him in control so he doesn't do anything dumb." I smile as I get an idea in my head. Once Alexis finished, I can feel my back healed and I was only sore. "Can I talk to him?" Alexis looks at me with a worried look. "I don't know, It will be too dangerous and he may not let me come back to my soul." I take his hands and he looked worried."Please, at least one time, if he hears it from me, then he would understand and he won't come out until it is time." He looks away and stares on the ground. I think he is talking to my mate and telling my proposal.
He looks back at he and lets out a sighs. "Okay, but only for a bit, please to not make me regret it. My eye color will change and you will be talking to him. It will be my voice, but the personality is very different than mine, understood?" I nod and he back away a bit and closes his eyes. I let out a nervous breath as I waited for Alexis to open his eyes.
I see out of nowhere, the marks on Alexis changes into the color blue to red. He opens his eys and they were colored a bright red. He crocked his head to the side as he walked up to me."So this is the all the fuss was about." He smirks as he wrap an arm around my waist and pulled me towards him. He places his head on my neck as he smelled in my scent. "I begged Alexis to let me out so I can see you.....I can't believe I am fully seen you now." He kissed my neck and reached my shoulder."I wanted to mark so bad... I don't want anyone to hurt you." I blush hard as he looks at me with his bright red eyes. "Please let me out, I want to be with you."
His eyes begged me as I rubs his cheek."I know you want to get out, but I think it is not time yet, I don't know when I will come for you, but I promise it will not take that long. Promise me you will behave with Alexis since he is only letting you see me." He looked at me unsatisfied, but I gave him a serious look. He gives up and nods. "Okay, I will only obey, if you ask. I will be waiting for you, my love." He kisses my forehead and hugs me. We stay still for a few more seconds until I see Alexis lets me go.
"Take care of yourself Michael, I will be waiting for your signal." He opens the window and climbs out. He smiles at me one more time until he jumps off. I rush to the window as I see him flying away in the distance. I closed my window and sat on my bed as I looked at my mark. I will know when it is time, but I hope it doesn't take that long.
Alexis p.o.v
I arrive back to the cave and I started to cook myself some stew I made. As I ate it, I can feel Daniel wanting to talk to me. Once I finish, I walked to the crystal and placed both of my hand on it and I focus hard until I was in a black room. I looked around until I saw Daniel back towards me. I fear him since he is really powerful and he can kill me easily with the snap of his fingers. "She is something... I never felt someone so broken in my whole life. She was there and I wants to wrap her under my wings and tell her that I will be there for her from now and on, but I am stuck here and the only thing I have from here is her scent and her emotions." I walk towards him as he turned around to face me. He was the same height to me, but he was more muscular and strong. His black hair falled down to his red eyes as he looked sad."Don't worry, she will come for you and I will be watching her. My worries right now is if they break her.....she is strong, but her emotions are very weak. My worries are that she fall right into your father footsteps Daniel. I need for you to make she can feel you around her and make her strong because this next few weeks....they are going to be hell for her."
He gulps as I remove my hand from the crystal to disconnect from his mind. Michael will be going through hell and my worries is that she breaks.
Michael p.o.v
I wake up early than usual and I change into some clean clothes then I head to the kitchen where I see Ace and Marco eating breakfast. Shivers goes down my spine as I stare at Ace, but he doesn't notice me or he shows about what happened yesterday. My hand goes straight to my mark as I touch it. I rub it softly until I get a relaxations through my body. I blink confused as I see my mark glowing a bit. I smile and I try to send out love and happiness back to Daniel and in response I get a love affect from him. I smile as I walk into the kitchen and I grab myself a bowl and pour cereal in it. I grab the milk from the refrigerator and pour some as Ace stared at me. I ignore him as I put the milk back and sat down beside Marco. "Morning Marco." He smiles at me brightly."Morning Michael, how are you feeling?" I give him a okay gesture as I ate my breakfast. Ace continue to stare as me and I can jealousy running through my body as I realized that Daniel was feeling the stares from Ace.
Once I finished, I placed my disk in the sink and head out, but Ace grabs my hand and stops me."Are you mad at me?" Daniel's anger was the only thing I can feel, but I have to control myself. I pull my hand from Ace grip and I walk away to hear him following me. He walks faster and stand in front of me as he blocked my way."Look, I am sorry, I really am. What do you want me to say?" I stare at him for a bit until I pushes pass him, but he pushes me back and I stumble back. My eyes go bright golden as my hand goes up and I use my ability against him. He goes flying to the wall and slams so hard that it cracks it. I walk towards him as he tried to stand up, but I can see the fear running in his eyes. I crouch down beside him as he stayed still.
"Next time I will not go easy and I could probably kill you in a instant." I place my hand on his leg and I snap his bone in half from the inside. He screams as I smirk and got up to leave. I hurry to my room and closed it shut as I stand there in the middle. I can feel anger and desperation as I closed my eyes and took breath breaths. I look down to my hand and made a fist as I slammed it hard to the wall. The wall cracks and I see my fist bleed slowly from the cuts.
I smirk as I can feel something in me more powerful then I have ever felt. I...like it.
