I sighed and wash my face since my make up is water proof I have no problem about my mascara smudging my face.
I jumped when I heard a knocked from the door then I could hear Kane's voice from the other side.
" Cadence? Are you in there? " He shouted from the other side of the door.
" Yeah, yeah I am here. " I replied.
Then I heard Kane saying 'thank you' and a few giggles erupted after, I scrunched my eyebrows, when I open the door I saw Kane with three girls and I don't wanna bother assessing them because it would be a waste of brain cells and only have a few left so...
Kane saw me step outside the bathroom, he gave me his handkerchief and that's when I realized that I didn't dried my face yet.
I took Kane's handkerchief even though I have my own and wiped my face with it.
The three girls look at me with envy, who wouldn't? I didn't quite saw Kane's features at the ball because it was dim and I don't have night vision like a cat but now that I see him in broad daylight I could see what all the fuss was about.
Kane was truly handsome with his jet black hair, full lips, stubborn jaw line, and a nose that stands confidently, but what make people stick with him like super glue was because of his eyes. His eyes was truly beautiful.
But last night I could see his insecurities when we talk about his eyes and I didn't want him to think of me as some nosy bitch so I didn't question him further about it.
I cleared my throat and the three girls snapped like they were just awaken from some spell I look at Kane and left and surprisingly he followed.

When he catch up to me and he ask me a very disturbing question that I am not sure whether or not I should answer it.
" Yes Kane, I am done emptying my bladder. " I lied to him. yes, I lied, I just don't wanna tell him that I lied to go to the bathroom so I could escape class or something. yes, I am rebellious like that.
" Well, you took so long to empty your bladder I waited for you outside our Lit room but when you didn't come back I decided to find you but I did not know where the ladies restroom is so I asked for help. "
" Wait. My bag?! I forgot my bag! "
" Oh no worries I got it right here. " Kane said and showed me my bag that was swung on his right shoulder.
I stopped and look at him he was standing on my left side so that's why I didn't saw my bag he also has a tall and broad figure so there was really no chance to see my small bag I always brought a small one since all of my books are in my locker.
Kane was hot. That I agree but he doesn't have the body of a weightlifting champion and thank God for that. I never like those overly bulgy muscles I find them disgusting for some reason it just make me wanna throw up on how huge there muscle is. Muscular men has never been my type.
Kane on the other hand he wasn't overly muscular but he wasn't kind of a wimp either.
He just have a simple fit bod that women like me would appreciate.
" Hey Kane how did you manage to stay fit? You don't play sports or anything so how did you manage to keep your body fit and healthy? "
" Oh? Last night I forgot to tell you that I also work out, not often though, just enough for me to maintain a great physique. "
" But why do you work out? It's not like anyone would see you and judge you for being fat or something. "
" Yes that is true, but I have to, my mom doesn't want me to be obese since it can damage my health so I have to work out three times a week and I also maintain my diet that's why I don't work out too much. "
What Kane said made me wonder what kind of mother he has, he always talk about his mom like a little kid that keeps saying 'my mom told me this' or 'my mom told me that' and just like a little kid he obeys it, " So Kane how's your mom is she nice? "
" My mom? Yes she is, the most caring and loving mother in the entire world. "
" She doesn't pressure you or anything right? Like she doesn't say things like don't do anything stupid or don't do anything to tarnish our family name or always hang out with rich people. "
" Oh no, my mom is not like that she even encourages me to do a lot of things and say that it's okay if you make mistakes because making mistakes is part of growing up my mom is the best mother you could ever have. "
" I still don't understand why they decided to home schooled you though. "
" It's just- something happened before that mom and dad doesn't want it to happened again that's why they decided to home schooled me. "
" And I am guessing it wasn't a very pleasant memory. "
" It wasn't. "
I am confused as shit.
But I know better than to ask more questions about the so called happened event so being the good girl that I am. I am gonna keep my mouth shut.
" What about your dad? How is he like? "
" My dad is awesome his my hero his a great leader of Malenia he's the one who taught me to be open minded about problems and always listen to your people he taught me to be a great leader since I am his heir he was strict in teaching me but that was also part of him disciplining me so I understand him for he is only strict when we're at the four corners of his library outside of his library was the family man that everyone in Malenia thought of him to be. "
" So in short, you have an awesome perfect happy family. " That wasn't a question that was a statement.
" Kind of, they do get very busy at times but they always make time for me it was hard to grow up with no friends though I did try to make friends with the maids and the guards but they don't seem to wanna be friends with me. " He pouted like a little kid and sadness was visible on Kane's features and I instantly feel bad about Kane.
" Kane am I your very first friend? "
" Come think of it you are. "
" Remember my promised to you last night? "
" Yeah of course who can forget. "
" Then let's start now then. "
" Buy we have school. "
" So? Who cares? "
" You mean we gonna skip class? But that's absurd! We will get in trouble if we do. "

" But we can't. "

He smiled at me and answered, " Mr. Gordon left us an assignment. "
" What? But it's the second day of class. " I whined.
" See my point? It's still the second day of school and you already wanna skip class. " I sighed, defeated.
" When do we pass the assignment? " I asked.
" In three days. "
" Good, since we are free for the whole day I will just teach you the basics of How to be a modern man 101. "
" Really? "
" I promised you didn't I? "
" Where do we start? "

Now all we gotta do is find a place where I should teach you. "

" Where? "
" I'll take you there. "
He said and grab my wrist and started dragging me to God knows where
And then we finally stop in front of the library. yes, the library out of all places he brought me to the library, I should've expected this knowing Kane is some kind of genius since all he did in his life is read books and more books and even more books, I don't know if his as genius as Rio but again who knows.
I wonder how he found this place he probably ask someone again and one his fan girls must've volunteered again.
I mentally growled.
He dragged me inside and he roamed his eyes around the library probably looking for a spot which makes me so confused since there's a lot of empty tables.
Malenia High is full of rich people who don't give a fvck about education okay? And yes, I am one of those people.
And then I thought of Austin, Collette and Ashely being here but then I remembered that they were Presidents of there club Ashely being the Drama Club President Collette being the Debate Club President and Austin being the Chess Club President.
They were chosen as Presidents because of how high there GPA is if it was votings they will never even be nominated or they will be but just to be humiliated or make fun of that's how racist the people here in Malenia and I wasn't the only one that is victim to that racism a lot of us are.
We were judge and belittled because of how we look, how we speak, on what the color of our skin is and what cultures do we believe in or what our status of life is, fvck even the nation you come from.
People always look on our imperfections or the things that we don't have, we must be beautiful to receive validation, we must be rich to be accepted, we must be the same milky white skin to be treated fairly. Because apparently people who are different or who have a defect is not normal.
People wanted to be different and quirky and there idea of different and quirky is watching Netflix and eating pizza on a Saturday night instead of partying or going out and that's not different almost ninety percent of the population in the world does that and now that there is truly someone who is different they then label it as freak, outcast, or loser and a lot more.
Damn hypocrites.
Then Kane finally find a table which was the best spot since it was not near a window because reading near the window is quite distracting.
But I did wish he chose a seat near a window though going people watching is much more fun than go bird watching humans are much more interesting to study and watch.
We were at the very end of the library and we were the only people here and there were no windows or sound you can technically hear a pin drop in here.
