Batrea Lake Geoglyph

My Wild Beast

Nova scrambled backwards, panting hard, her short locks clinging to her damp forehead as she watched this predator stalk towards her. The vibrant and lively forest hushed, almost holding its breath to watch the scene unfold. Great, she had an audience for what would surely be a gruesome death. Death looked... a little... rugged and in nothing but a loin cloth, defined by slabs of muscle, a trail of hair leading down to such a small piece of cloth to hide a large- A spine-chilling growl snapped her gaze back up to meet his golden-red eyes, fiery, and intense, glaring at Nova as he slammed his hands either side of her head. Pieces of bark crumbled down from the impact. "I told you not to run..." He threatened, his eyes piercing hers, his voice more guttural than she'd heard from any male. His eyes clenched shut as his body trembled. "My instinct is to always stalk, always chase... until I get what I want.." Their faces were inches apart. She could feel his hot breath fanning her face. The forest was humid and hot, and his body was so close to hers that it was almost unbearable. The gruff voice, those words and the intensity of those eyes that reminded her of sunsets caused goosebumps to flourish across her arms. "What do you want?" Nova swallowed, not recognising her voice. She was so out of her depth. His chest rumbled, and more bark crumbled down from behind her head. "You..." Her breath hitched. "To. Do. As. You're. Told." - Paradise was what Nova Winslow was promised when her boyfriend whisked her away to Isla De Tayun, the perfect getaway for their busy lives. It was untouched, pristine, a hidden gem. But it had remained that way for a reason. The island doesn’t want visitors. And neither do the natives. What should have been a romantic retreat, drinking from coconuts and lounging on white-sandy beaches together, turns into a holiday from hell. Mid-argument with her soon-to-be ex, Nova stumbles into a lake. When she resurfaces, her boyfriend, the path she came from, and the resort have vanished. Alone, stranded, and with little survival skills, Nova has only a wet phone with no signal, a pair of heels, and an irrational fear of bats—which are everywhere. She is out of her depth when she falls into a mystical world of beasts. Hunted by tribesmen, stalked by beasts that shouldn't exist, and hearing animals speak, she has no choice but to trust the wild beast the forest itself fears—Yoa, a wanted man. Together, they flee the tribes pursuing them all while battling her growing attraction to Yoa. Can she survive the wild and make it back to her civilised life? Or will she lose herself to the untamed world—and to the man who belongs to it? #Beast #Ssssteamy #Adventure #Mythical #R18 -- THERE WILL BE MATURE CONTENT!! -- If you are enjoying the story, please vote with a power stone, leave comments and review! -- Cover Image: In the middle of getting one commissioned. Veil of crimson lotus

The wind carried the scent of incense and blood as the once-quiet halls of the Vermilion Palace echoed with whispers of treachery. At its heart stood Queen Lian Yuhua, a woman born of divine blood, her beauty as ethereal as the moon over a jade lake. Yet, her throne was steeped in peril, her life threatened by unseen hands lurking in the shadows. Her fate was now bound to Wei Zhaoyun, an exiled warrior of the Xuanhua Sect, sworn to guard her until death or destiny claimed them both. Zhaoyun was a man of iron will, his presence akin to a silent storm. Garbed in dark robes embroidered with the sigil of a coiling dragon, his blade-Frost bane-rested ever at his hip, its steel humming with suppressed power. His past was shrouded in dishonor, a fallen disciple once meant for greatness, now tethered to a ruler who saw him as little more than a blade for hire. Yet, where distrust once reigned, necessity wove an unbreakable thread between them. The assassins of the Ghost Lotus Sect sought Lian Yuhua's life, and only Zhaoyun's skill in arts and spiritual cultivation could shield her from the daggers of fate. Through perilous nights and shadowed corridors, their partnership was tested-by demons, by duty, and by the unspoken emotions neither dared acknowledge. As the heavens waged war over their destinies, one truth became clear: neither was meant to stand alone. In a world of celestial beasts, forbidden techniques, and fractured loyalties, the Queen and her reluctant guardian would carve their own legend-one written in blood and bound by fate. "You expect me to kneel?" Zhaoyun's voice was like unsheathed steel, cold and cutting. "You are my guard, not my master," Lian Yuhua countered, her golden eyes unyielding. "You will protect me, or your life is forfeit." He hated her arrogance. She hated his defiance.

The Altar in the Mist

After a bitter divorce, Ellie Brooks moves to the isolated town of Graven with her nine-year-old son, Joey, hoping to start fresh. But their new home, perched on the edge of the mysterious Silent Lake, offers little comfort. The townsfolk are cold and distant, their eyes shadowed by something more than mere suspicion. And then there’s the lake—its misty surface rippling with whispers that only Joey seems to hear. As Ellie struggles to fit into the town, Joey’s behavior grows increasingly strange. He’s drawn to the lake, speaking of a voice in the fog that calls to him, promising answers to questions he cannot yet articulate. Desperate to protect her son, Ellie begins to unravel Graven’s dark history. What she uncovers chills her to the bone: a century-old pact to feed the lake’s insatiable hunger, a cursed altar hidden deep within the mist, and a malevolent force that preys on the town’s fears and guilt. The fog begins to thicken, creeping through the streets and into their lives. The townspeople, terrified of breaking their pact, turn against Ellie and Joey, seeing them as the next sacrifices to the lake. Trapped in a town that has surrendered to its own nightmares, Ellie must confront the horrors of her past and the terrors in the mist to save her son—and herself. But the lake does not give up its prey so easily. "The Altar in the Mist" is a chilling tale of fear, sacrifice, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child. Weaving supernatural terror with deeply human emotions, it explores how far we are willing to go to protect the ones we love—and what it costs to confront the monsters both outside and within.

Kill to Rise

Kane staggered through the smoldering ruins of his kingdom, his vision swimming with blood and sweat. Every muscle screamed in protest, every step faltered, but the pain was a distant echo compared to the void in his chest. The imperial prince had razed it all—the palace, the people, everything Kane had ever known. His father’s stern voice, his mother’s gentle touch, the warriors who had once sworn to protect them—all silenced, their dying cries still ringing in his ears. But there was one person he couldn’t let go of. “Julia…” His voice rasped, barely audible over the crackling flames. His heart thudded unevenly as he lurched across the battlefield, the air thick with the stench of death. His sister had been his beacon in this crumbling world, the only one who saw strength in him despite his failings. He clung to a fragile hope that she might still be alive. That hope shattered when he found her. By the lake’s edge, where the water mirrored the flickering flames, Julia lay motionless on the cold earth. Kane’s breath caught, his legs giving out as he dropped to his knees beside her. Her golden hair, once radiant, was tangled with dirt and blood. Her pale skin was marred with bruises, her body exposed—stripped of the dignity she’d carried so effortlessly in life. The imperial prince hadn’t just taken her life; he’d handed her to his soldiers like a trophy, a final cruelty that twisted Kane’s grief into rage. “No… no…” His voice cracked, tears spilling down his ash-streaked face. With trembling hands, he tore off his own tattered shirt—the last remnant of the prince he’d once been. It wasn’t much, but he couldn’t leave her like this. Gently, he draped the fabric over her fragile form, shielding her from the world that had betrayed her. His fingers lingered on the cloth, as if he could somehow give her back the peace she deserved. “I’m sorry, Julia,” he whispered, his throat tight with sobs. “I wasn’t strong enough to protect you…” Guilt gnawed at him, sharper than the wounds seeping through his torn clothes. He had failed her, failed them all—his family, his kingdom, himself. What was left for him now? Ignoring the fire in his limbs, Kane clawed at the dirt with his bare hands, digging a shallow grave. Each handful of earth sent jolts of pain through his battered body, but he welcomed it. She deserved more than this—a proper burial, a monument—but this was all he could offer. As he laid her inside and covered her with soil, his vision blurred, his strength fading. His injuries were too deep, the vial of salve in his pocket too meager to save him. It could dull the pain, perhaps, but he didn’t want that. He didn’t deserve it. When the grave was finished, Kane collapsed beside it, his chest heaving with shallow breaths. Death hovered close, and he was ready to let it take him. Then, a glint of gold caught his eye. Something plumm
