Akiyah had been with her 'fiance' for a week or so. They discussed everything and anything. They learnt about each other and both were suprised to know they have a lot in common.
They had moved to a new location, a fancy hotel. La Quinta Inn. A lovely hotel owned by a Spanish family and were also in a gang of some sort. They didn't give much information but Jasper clearly knew them; the sly grins and winks passed around the table.
His been patient with her lately, letting her take her time and just enjoy 'kidnapped' life. He would wake her up with breakfast in bed, going to the spa and drinking ice tea.
"Are you trying to get on my good side, J?" During their stay in the hotel, they had been travelling around the small town and went to almost all the festival's. They both gave each other pet names.
"No, little one. I'm showing you how life will be when you marry me. I'm pampering my future wife into my life and I hope you don't mind me pampering you." He slyly winks at Akiyah and she manages a blush, colouring her cheeks.
"I don't mind at all, J. Just remember, I'm a stubborn girl." He takes her hand and gently kisses the knuckles. They've gotten extremely close; the little gesture is no big deal for Akiyah.
"Will you atleast give me your answer by the end of this week?" Akiyah nods her head, hair shaking wildly a bit. She continues to sip on her ice tea. The best part about staying in the hotel, is that she gets to enjoy watching the sunset. No interruptions and no wild thoughts.
"I will. Thank you for giving me time." She tugs his hand closer to her Cupid lips and gently kisses his knuckles.
"Penny for your thoughts, my love?" She turns away from the sun and smiles lightly. She enjoys the pet names and the tender notions he emits. It's different from what she's used to.
"I just love how beautiful this place is. How peaceful this place is and how you treat me so well."
He stands in front of her and gently holds her face. His beautiful blue eyes hold her in place and he smiles, oh so softly. An outsider would see the love and care Jasper has for her. It's sometimes suffocating and sometimes reassuring.
"I want you to have the best life and I want to be there. I want to love and hold you. Akiyah, you're more beautiful than you could ever imagine. That's how I see you and I enjoy looking at my beautiful fiancé." Akiyah could only blush and award him with her bright smile. He could never get tired of her.
"I have no words."
"No need for words. I can see how much you care for me. That's enough for me." They spent that afternoon sipping ice tea and learning about each other.

Akiyah's disappearance has slowly been forgotten but not by Amanda. Amanda has been searching for her and the Farloore Police have been of no use to her. Sabrina couldn't help but she's been trying to help everyone lately; including her disastrous family.
The Chase couple have been on newspapers recently; accused of fraud and embezzlement. Sabrina couldn't believe it when she saw it, so she confirmed with her distressed mother.
"Mother, is it true?" Sitting on the porch of the Dawson family, she had her phone close to her ear. She had realised that her mother would sometimes have her phone far. It's a bad habit she obtained from childhood.
"Yes and no." Was her first reply. She went on about how these reporters are just sniffing around, wanting drama. The embezzlement is false but the fraud is true; it had been a silly mistake that happened years ago and now it's back to haunt them.
"Mother, I need you to be honest. Straight forward and no lying. Why would they add in the word 'embezzlement' if it's false. What really happened?" Sabrina's mother couldn't believe how her own daughter was doubting her, questioning her like these dogs that claim to be reporters.
"Sabrina, when are you come back? You can't stay there forever."
"I do go to school and I'm fine where I am. You and dad need to sort this problem. It's becoming a hassle walking through the hallways. I'm the golden girl and I don't need my parents ruining that. It's what you've taught me mother."
After that conversation, Sabrina hadn't been in contact with her mother. Nor her father.

Hendrik and Donna grew closer and stronger. Their fragile relationship became stronger after their mother's death and the unexpected visit from their father.
Hendrik hadn't really paid attention to Sabrina but he did notice the bloody tissues and the quiet cough that came from the next room. Donna began disappearing more often but came back before dinner. Sabrina has really helped the pair.
"Sabrina, you would tell me if you were sick?" They chose to spend the afternoon on the porch, drinking lemonade and solemnly watching the sun.
"Of course Hendrik, I would." Her voice had become gruff from the last time they spoke. They've had no intimate encounter besides the occasional kiss to the head and the soft touching of hands when passing each other. Things lovers do just to know they have each other.
"I've been seeing bloody tissues and you're coughing more regularly. What's going on?" Sabrina couldn't answer, so she turned away and continued sipping on her lemonade.
"Sabrina?"
"My parents may be bankrupt and there's no telling whether the accusations are true. They are taking the newspaper company to court. I guess I've been stressed."
Hendrik reached for her hand but she refused his advance on touching her. She felt sick knowing that he knows about her problems. She prefers to carry her on burdens, not burden others.
"Sabrina, we're in this together."
"Are we Hendrik? Because it doesn't feel that way right now. Since I came, I've been trying to help you and your sister but all my attempts are futile."
She doesn't want to be angry at him but she couldn't help it. Her friend is still missing and no one is here to help her.
The life of Sabrina Chase. This is how it is.
