Some think I've always been like this. That's not true! I was typically a mentally stabled child. Like everyone else, I had a mother. My father whom I hate was absent in my childhood. So what could have possibly gone wrong?
A long time ago before I was born, my mother and my father were a happily married couple. Then my mother's ex-best friend (Sarayah) secretly envied her and was jealous of her. So, She schemed against her. At that time my mom was pregnant with me and my twin sister (She's dead now.)
Sarayah would always give her unknown pills and coaxed her into thinking they were safe to take. She told her that these pills will help the babies grow healthier. She told her to hide it from Prince Elliot because Prince Elliot might not like the idea of her taking these pills.
My mother trusted Sarayah, she didn't really think much of it and listened to her. Without thinking twice about the negative effects, it could have on her unborn babies; she took those pills. They were not recommended by any physician in the city.
She was very clueless about the hatred her supposedly best friend had against her.
9 months later, it was time for the babies to be born. Her water broke, she was immediately sent to the hospital. A few hours after the babies had been born, the physician came into the room. She gave her two choices.
"Well, I've got good news and bad news, which one do you want to hear first?'' The female physician asked. "I prefer the bad news first," she replied.
"Alright, Embrace yourself!" During your pregnancy, It seems like you have been consuming some type of unprescribed pills that caused fetal abnormalities in your pregnancy. Your twins were diagnosed with the twin-twin transfusion syndrome. Allow me to elaborate. Your twins shared blood vessels. Gradually, an uneven blood supply emerged between them. One of the twins contributed blood to the other twin, which deprived her of the blood needed to develop normally. Meanwhile, the other twin received too much blood, which placed a lot of stress on her heart. She died from heart failure." My mother was notified by the doctor.
Uncontrollable tears poured at my mother's eyes.
Prince Elliot (my father) walked in and Sarayah followed him.
"what's going on?" Prince Elliot asked.
The doctor looked at my father and said" I'm sorry Sir, only one made it."
Before the doctor proceeded with his sentence, Sarayah had this proud look on her face. Her hands crossed over her chest and her chin high. She grinned at her.
"She had been using pills that triggered abnormalities between the twins during her pregnancy. One twin had stolen much of the other twin's blood supply, putting stress on her heart. She died of heart failure." The physician explained to him The eyes of my mom shrank. The Queen walked in.
"You've arrived at your Highness, at the right time," Sarayah added.
The Queen had this pleasing look on her face and replied, "I certainly did my dear."
"You're going to explain to me, Aubrey, what have you done to my babies? Because I'm still lost. Prince Elliot asked. My mother's lips trembled with fear, and her head was veiled in humiliation, causing her to lower her head.
"You can leave now!" Prince Elliot ordered. The physician exist the room.
"Aubrey, your Highness, have been ingesting a dangerous pill during her pregnancy and that eventually took the life of one of her twins. She even told me that she didn't want to have your child." That witch snitched, she completely twisted the truth.
"Sarayah how could you do this to me? Why would you do this to me? I thought we were best friends," My mother said in a weeping voice.
"Aubrey, what have I done?" I know nothing of this. I'm your best friend, why would I scheme against you?" She said in an innocent tone.
My dad stood there, his eyes denied my mother's eyes. His hands tightened and his veins popped on the side of his head.
"I'm just as shocked and disappointed as you are Prince Elliot. I know it might be hard to believe, but here's what I found in her room this morning. " She pulled some pills from her purse and showed it to him. Prince Elliot's eyes shifted to the pills, his eyes widened with astonishment.
"Is that true Aubrey?" Prince Elliot said fiercely. No replies came from her.
"You see!" Sarayah said in a weeping voice.
"How-how could you do this to your baby!" she said weepingly. Crocodile tears fell out her eyes. Underneath her mask mockery was written all over it. She managed to put this believable sympathetic face on, Prince Elliot that idiot fell for it.
"YOU! IT WAS YOU WHO DID THIS," my mother shouted at her, ferociously frowning at her. She appeared as though she was ready to strangle her.
"Me! Aubrey, you're scaring me with your nonsense!" Sarayah replied leaning herself into Prince Elliot clothing.
"Slap!" Prince Elliot's hand swung across her face.
"You dare commit such a murderous act and blame it on your innocent friend! I never knew you were such a despicable person."
"Prince Elliot, please excuse her. Blame me instead, for I'm guilty of being a bad friend. It's my fault for not knowing she has been ingesting those pills." She said in a pitiful weeping voice.
"No, it's not your fault. I know you're a great friend. Don't blame yourself for her." He said to her in a gentle voice.
"Never let me see you again in the palace from now one or you'll be beheaded," he said coldly. He walked away from the room. The Queen and Sarayah remained in the room. They glared at her.
"He needs someone like Sarayah. Someone like you don't deserve to be with my son. Before things get worse in your life, I suggest that you leave this place immediately and take your child with you. You'll never be one of us. The Queen said rudely, she walked out the room.
Then Sarayah walked over to my mother, whispered " I win! Your man is mine now!" Then, she accompanied the Queen. The color drained from my mom's face.
