Chapter 5 - Chapter 6: Violet's past (part 2)

3 hours after she left my bedroom; I couldn't fall asleep. The clock ticked and ticked; I twisted and turned on my bed, I still couldn't sleep. The thought of my father and why my mother refused to let me leave this place still on my mind. I guess I will never know until I try. I got off my bed, left the room, and stepped out through my window in a sly manner.

The fireflies outside brighten the night.

"Wow, so beautiful." I gazed at the beauty of the night. Wait, hold on! the bush moved, something is inside it.

"Oh, It's just a bunny. Come here little bunny!" The bunny ran away. I chased it. About 10 minutes later, I found myself lost in the dark, chilly, misty forest. With the tall, thick, trees that were scattered all over the area. I had no idea about which directions I should go to.

"Hello, where are you little bunny?" I yelled. My voice echoed off.

>>Meanwhile: Aubrey<<

I'm so thirsty, I can't sleep. Let me get a glass of milk. I walked past Violet's room, and I don't hear her snoring. Weird, let me get my glass of milk first, then I'll check on her, I thought to myself. I got myself the glass of milk and walked back upstairs.

"Violet, are you okay in there?" No replied. She must be tired. Let me give her a goodnight kiss.

I opened the door.

"CRASH!" I dropped my glass of milk.

"Where is Violet? VIOLET!"

"VIOLET!"

"VIOLET!"

"Where are you, sweetheart? I asked. No replied again. I searched everywhere in the mansion, but couldn't find her. Maybe, she's hiding underneath her bed. I checked; she's not there. My entire body trembled in fear. Tears left my eyes.

"Where is my baby-girl?" I said in a shivering voice, laying my back on the wall next to her window. I saw a strain of her hair under the window.

"Oh no, she couldn't possibly leave this place!"

I head back to my room, grabbed my coat and my sword, headed out to find her.

>>Meanwhile: Violet<<

"Bunny, bunny, where are you? I yelled. I still couldn't find it. Kind of dark out here, I thought to myself. Thanks to the beautiful shining moon that shimmered through the forest, I could see a little bit of where I'm going.

As I walked deeper into the forest, I saw a light. I moved closer to it and peeked through the bushes; I saw beautiful houses made out of bricks with around flowers are them. Beautiful sparkling lights, people feasting, guys beating on a wooden drum. Guys playing the wooden flute. Women dancing to the beat.

"Wow, what a beautiful sight!" I wish I could join them. Wait, I could. It's not like my mother's here anyway. No one's going to stop me. I moved the bushes away and walked closer to them.

A woman turned around, unexpectedly I was standing behind her.

"CRASH!" Her plate dropped. Her legs wobbled before me. Her brows raised, her eyes widened. Her Jaw dropped open. The food slipped out her mouth. The music stopped playing.

The people stopped dancing and feasting. All attention turned on me. The people looked at me as if they had seen a monster. Perhaps, there's a ghost behind. I turned around checked. Nope, it's just me.

"A...Thi-thi-lo..rian!" She stuttered, pointing at me. Thilorian? What is that? I asked myself.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I said. I stepped closer to her.

"Don't come closer!" the man beside her said, ferocious frowning at me. He pulled a knife from the table behind him and pointed it at me. His hands trembled. Everything was confusing for me at that time. I didn't know what was going on.

I just wanted to join them. When they saw me , they act like they had seen a monster or something.

"What are you guys standing there for?" Killed her. The man that had been playing the guitar yelled.

"Ki-ki-kill-me?" I stuttered. Did he just say "kill her?" Kill who? I pondered. Some of the men quickly ran inside their homes. Grabbed their swords, bows and arrows, grabbed some fire torches, and chased me through the forest. I ran fast as I could. Mom was right, maybe it was a bad idea to leave the mansion.

"HELP!" I screamed. My voice echoed through the forest.

>>Meanwhile: Aubrey<<

"HELP!" A voice echoed through the forest coming from the north. Wait, that's Violet's voice. She must be in trouble. I switched directions; I sprinted as fast I could, hoping that I'm not too late.

"Oh, there she-"

" Oh, lord!" My eyes widened with astonishment. I hid behind a tree peeking at her. 20 men sprinting after her, with fire torches, swords, bows, and arrows in their hands.

"Get her!" One said shouted.

"Mommy, where are you?" She yelled. Tears falling out of her eyes. She tripped over a tree branch on the ground. Blood gushed out of her knees. She tried to get up, but her knees wouldn't let her. I forced myself to watch. I wanted to help, but If I showed myself it would only make matters worst. By then, the men had caught up to her.

>>Meanwhile Violet<<

"I finally we've found you, you little monster!" shouted one of the fourth man in the front. He Maliciously grinned at me. The edge of his sword pointing at me.

"L-l-leave me alone!" I stuttered. My body trembled in fear.

"You little rascal, shut up," he yelled.

"Leave my daughter alone!" someone said. Wait, that's my mother's voice. I turned around and I was right. "How did she find me?" I pondered.

"Mommy, you came!" I said excitedly. It seems like the gods have heard my cry for help.

"Yes, dear, it's okay, mommy will take you home!" She smiled at me.

"Isn't that Lady Aubrey, the former wife of Prince Elliot?" One of the men in front asked. Looking at my mother with disgustingly

"Didn't Prince Elliot say if someone catches her, they get $500,000?" The man behind him asked.

"Yeah, I read that article too." One man confirmed.

"That little monster is her daughter!" What a curse!"

"Hey, Watch it!" My mother said fiercely, frowning at them.

"It doesn't matter, let's focus on capturing them. If we capture them, We'll be rich." Looking at us, as if he saw a piece of gold. Let's catch them!" the man with his sword pointing at me said, excitedly

"Here I c-,"

"SLASH!" Before he could finish his sentence, my mother's sword swung across his head.

His head flew with blood squirting out of it and landed on the ground. Blood gushing out of his neck spattered on us.

The men's eyes widened. Their legs quiver. Their hands trembled so much, that their fire torches slipped out of their hands.

"Whoosh!" The fire spread around the forest.

"Fireeeeeeeeeee! We've got to warn everyone. " One man screamed. His voice echoed. The men stormed off.

"Come Violet's, let's get out of here!" My mother said, she picked me out from the floor and ran away with me.
