Harmony's eyes fluttered open and she scanned the room. Nyla ran to her side and held her hand. "You're awake! I.. I had to call her in. I'm sorry."
Master Jinora walked over, putting a hand on her head. "How are you feeling?"
"Where.. are the figures?" The two women raised their eyebrows and Harmony groaned, sitting up carefully. "The white things around me, you didn't see them?"
"Did she hit her head when she fell?"
"I didn't see anything until I came back with the bandages. I didn't think I hurt her too badly, but maybe I was wrong. I'm so sorry." Nyla was pacing the room while biting her fingernails. "This is all my fault.."
"No, it's alright. I should have brought Harmony back with me sooner. Unfortunately, we have to get her back to training. She's been away for far too long."
"Ok, can we stop talking like I'm either a child or not here? I can't leave yet. There's someone I need to say good-bye to. Please, just give me a few hours?"
Jinora sighed heavily, smiling slightly. "Of course. I'll be with Pepper by the docks, ok?"
Harmony ran out of the small home; she needed to find him as soon as possible. Only one person in the city knew where everyone was at any given time. "Takumi!" Harmony busted through the diner doors and expected to be attacked by a bodyguard.
"Ah, my dear enemy. Come to join a round of Pai Sho?" He placed a few pieces down, but studied his opponent trying to guess their next move.
"I'm not here for your stupid game. I'm here because I need information. Where can I find a guy named Amaruq?"
"Amaruq.. A. Ma. Ruq. Hmm, he doesn't sound familiar."
"Don't play koi. You know everyone in this city. I need to know where he is."
A man came into view, whispering in Takumi's ear, then left the diner. "Why would I tell you? What have you done for me lately, Avatar?" His smirk went from ear to ear.
"Of course, you found out. Listen, I need--"
"No!" Takumi stood, jumping into Harmony's personal space and pushing her closer to the exit. "You listen to me. Do you know who I am? I'm more powerful than you will ever be, got that? I have respect and I don't go around stealing it. I could and would destroy you in a split second." His fingers snapped. "But, I'm feeling generous today, but the police might not be. He's at Avatar Korra Park. Don't forget this conversation because I don't want to have it again in the future... Do NOT make me regret letting you walk away unscathed, Avatar."
With that, Harmony left the diner and let go of the air she had been unconsciously holding in her lungs. The park wasn't too far away from where she was, so she ran as fast as humanly possible. As she neared the park, a few people were entering and leaving. She looked around and found a newspaper to cover her head with as a 'disguise'. Amaruq was sitting underneath Avatar Korra's statue with a book in his hand. "Amaruq!"
He looked up, confusion settled on his face. "Harmony? What are you doing here? I thought you'd be in trouble from yesterday's 'event." He smiled and she sat next to him.
"About that, I may or may not be in trouble. Which means I... I have to leave as soon as possible. I have a few hours, but I needed to see you before I left Republic City. I heard you were here."
"You're leaving? I'm sorry if I ruined your chance to be here."
"You're not to blame. I should be more careful; Everyone's seen my face now. Why don't we just chill for a bit?"
He smiled brightly, moving closer. "I don't see a problem with that. Just the fact that you're so far away from me."
Harmony sat by his side and looked at his book. "History really is your thing, huh?"
"I love learning about stuff like this. So, what are you into, Miss Avatar?"
"One, don't call me that and two, just being me, I guess?"
"Is Sweet lips better? I know I like that one." He smirked and took her hand, flipping through a few pages in his book. "Wanna take a look?"
Harmony blushed brightly and punched his arm. "Shut up.."
The time limit had come and gone, but Harmony never met up with her master. Nyla and Jinora were left wondering where the Avatar had gone. They began searching with Nyla's expertise and knowledge with the city.
Unfortunately, someone had gotten to Harmony and Amaruq first. "Well, well, well. Look what I got here." Takumi snapped a picture on his polaroid, trying to contain his laughter. "I'm so glad I brought my camera. Thanks for the blackmail sleepyhead."
The flash woke up the sleeping pair and Harmony looked up at Amaruq, her face became redder along with his. "Oh.. sorry." She sat up away from him and her eyes went in the direction of her foe. "Takumi!" She growled, lifting her hand containing a small fireball.
He did the same. "Don't even think about it, Avatar. I'll make you a copy of this!" He ran away from the pair sitting on the ground.
"I'm.. gonna kill him one of these days. Sorry I gave him blackmail on us."
Amaruq's face turned pale. "How do you know him?"
"I wouldn't say we're friends, but I know him and we both owe each other a lot. Why? Do you know him?"
"The whole city fears him. Of course I know who Takumi Yamada is."
"Wait, they fear him? I never--"
"Harmony!" A voice came from the distance and came running towards the red haired girl. Nyla tackled her into the ground with a glare. "What's wrong with you!? We- I was worried sick about you. Jinora was trying to take you back and.. Who's this?" She stared at the water tribe guy, pointing in his direction.
"Don't worry about that. Master Jinora was looking for me? Oh no, I completely forgot! Is she here? I have to go."
"She was looking for you with me. I asked her to wait outside of the park with her bison."
She hugged her best friend and walked to Amaruq. "I have to go. I'll see you around?"
"Hell, yeah. You can't get rid of me that quickly, Sweet lips." He pulled her into a tight embrace with a sad smile. "See you around, Harmony." She ran off quickly to avoid a more harsh punishment from her teacher.
Nyla bit her lip, stomping over to the tall male. "Listen here, new guy. Harmony is MY best friend and nothing will get in the way of that. So don't try to replace me, 'cuz it ain't gonna happen."
"Uh, I wasn't trying to replace you? I just met her--"
"Might as well forget her now. She's gonna be busy with Avatar stuff and she won't have time for new people in her life."
"I don't think she'd appreciate her 'best friend' acting this way. She also didn't seem too busy when she was spending time here with me." He sent a smirk her way.
Nyla grabbed his shirt, pulling him down to her level. "Watch. Your. Back." She let go of him, walking out of the park and into the shadows.
