Katherine trudged quickly, her thick, leather boots sinking into the hot sand of Sahara, as the scorching sun beamed down on her. Despite her insides begging for water and trails of sweat running from her neck down to her back she stayed resilient and kept moving. She looked up at the foggy, red sky darkening into an exquisite, deep tone. But she couldn't care less about those sort of things. Katherine couldn't comprehend why the flame like sun setting and silver beads of snow falling, excited many people. To her, they were just another face of nature that made her life harder to live.
-Dom
As the ear-piercing bell rang through the school like a banshee on the loose, Dom made his way through the rows of seats, occasionally gaining a quick grin or high-five from his classmates. He was popular, and full of it. He sat:middle row on the left ,2 seats to the window. Class started and Mr Mendez, back to the students, introduced today's topic completely oblivious as to what was happening behind him.
Ashley-
Ashley considered herself unusual and distant from other teens her age, and she was okay with that. It didn't matter that her hair length was up to her back or that her sets of colour pencils always had to be colour coded. In short, she was a good, responsible student who people had high expectations for. She often thought that was the reason she couldn't hang out with the popular kids like Dom or Kimberly, because of the way she was brought up to think about herself. She didn't mind of course, just found herself thinking deeply about the situation sometimes. With a sigh she opened the paper ball that Jennifer had threw at her. After reading the first line she cautiously looked up, careful to avoid any eye contact , and continued staring at the chalky, green board wishing she could disappear into thin air.
Luke-
Luke felt remorse for Ashley when he saw the scrunched up ball of paper thrown across the classroom and land on her head. Since he knew what was written inside, he had gotten the same thing for the past 3 years from the same people and so had Ashley. The only difference is he had stopped opening his after the first one since it was a waste of time. He was very fond of Ashley and had often told her she could hang out with him any time as it didn't seam like she had any friends. But she would always decline, so he stopped asking. But one day he knew she would give in.
