Chereads / Lo Recant, The Rise of The Dragon King / Chapter 14 - Euphoria Pt.2

Chapter 14 - Euphoria Pt.2

"Aaa!" the dragon cried out in pain.

The feeling of joy started to spread through my entire body as I saw the dragon getting bisected by my sword, by MY weapon, by ME.

The dragon cried due to pain and was knocked backward.

Even though we saw the dragon cry out in pain and getting thrown backward, we hadn't lowered a guard by a bit, no, we did the exact opposite. We had increased our guards even further.

The reason for that was quite simple, actually; we knew that the dragon was a sly beast and that it would definitely take advantage of everything it could take advantage of.

We knew that for certain, because… because… because we had experienced it firsthand, and we weren't too kind about the idea of ever experiencing it again; as we had, sadly, experienced it more than once.

I looked around with my peripheral vision. Only to find all my brethren thinking the exact same thing, the only difference was the way we had thought about it.

And that some of my brothers were even scarred by that thing's previous actions; after all, they had seen how brutally it had killed our brothers. So, I didn't even mind them covering their crotches.

I stopped dwelling on it too much and quickly focused on the dragon – who had already gotten hold of itself.

I wasn't surprised to find it already in control of its body, no, I would actually be much more surprised if it hadn't.

Since, we had seen, no, experienced it effortlessly dodging all our attacks while it was mid-air, falling.

And the only time, no, the first time we had gotten a good it was when it was distracted.

The second time, the one that had just happened, had, again, happened because it was distracted by something.

'What was that thing distracted by?' I wondered to myself.

I didn't dwell on the topic for too long, as the dragon had already started getting ready to retaliate.

And I, no, we weren't too fond of that thing getting the chance to retaliate.

"Raah!" I, again, continued the charge against the beast.

All my brothers saw that and nodded to each other as they, again, started charging at the dragon, as well.

"Raaah!!!" my brothers cried out as they charged at the dragon.

The dragon seeing that had a look of fear on its face; it was a look that I didn't even think the dragon could possibly, no, physically make.

Especially not after seeing its ruthlessness and how sadistic it was.

It was truly a sick being.

We were all very surprised by it, but, we weren't going to let that surprise stop us. As we knew that if we did so, the dragon could easily turn the tides to its favor.

And the lucky advantage we had gotten would all be for naught, the hope we all had experienced would all be crushed.

We weren't too kind to that thought, we were going to make sure that the thing died, it was going to be certain!

"Hyaa!!!" two of my brothers attacked the dragon with their "clubs" which they had gotten from the remains of our houses – before they had all turned to ash.

The dragon dodged it, but seeing it dodge the attack, all of us gasped inside.

The reason for that pretty self-evident. The dragon had DODGED the attack, but the way it dodged the attack showed that it had gotten a lot weaker.

The dragon had barely dodged the two orcs; those said orcs being the ones that used "clubs" as their weapons and were very slow and inaccurate.

"RAAAA!!!" after the realization had finally set in; all of us gave out a loud battle cry as we, once again, charged at the dragon – who was still in the middle of its "dodge".

The dragon had a serious look of terror in its eyes, as it saw us charging towards it with eyes filled to the brim with wrath and fury.

*Slash*

The sound of metal cutting through the wind spread throughout the village as the fastest orcs all attacked the dragon.

They had all prioritized accuracy instead of power, as making the dragon lose its advantage, its high evasion, would make it tremendously more easier to kill it.

As even though that thing was a dragon, the apex of creation, and a strong one at that. It still had to follow the rules of the world, the rules that even the strongest of gods had to follow.

Meaning, it was very "weak", defensively speaking. And that a good hit from anyone of us could easily kill it.

"Gaah!" the dragon got hit again, though, the dragon's abnormal mastery over its body and its out of ordinary instincts made it get away with just slight cuts and getting thrown into the air.

Seeing that again confirmed that the thing in front of us was truly a monster in every sense of the word, as not only was it a true monster in its nature, but, was also a monster for its abnormally high fighting ability.

Due to the dragon being high up, none of us melee units would be able to get a good hit in, as doing so was very risky.

The dragon would easily just slide off the weapon – due to its small size – and injure, or even, kill the orc who had dared to attack it; we had seen in front of our eyes before, after all.

Meaning, only our ranged units could get a good hit in, without risking fatal injury or death.

The depressing part was that most of the ranged units weren't using crossbows, they were using stones and wood – as most crossbows had already been burned due to that thing's flames.

So, the dragon was then bombarded mostly by stones and woods, with some arrows being mixed in.

Due to their training, all of the ranged orcs were master marksman and were easily able to coordinate their attacks.

It was a level mastery only reached through years of training together, but, we knew that without our great chief they, no, we probably wouldn't even be close to the level of mastery we currently had.

The dragon looked at the things being thrown at it with an opened mouth, with fear filling its eyes.

Its body shook a little because of it, and not only that, it was even distracted a little by it, as it had stopped for a split second.

Seeing that, we were all happy, not because of the disgusting thing the dragon would get off to, but because another glimmer of hope was shining right in front of our eyes.

We all felt a wave of relief and a sense of joy as we saw the dragon about to get bombarded by our so-called "projectiles".

'HOW FUCKING RETARDED ARE THESE ORCS!!! GOD! THEY'RE LITERALLY TRYING TO WIN THE WORLD RECORD FOR BEING THE MOST RETARDED RACE IN EXISTENCE!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE ARE SOME RACES THAT COULD EVEN BEAT, NO, COMPETE AGAINST HUMANS IN TERMS OF RAW AND SHEER STUPIDITY!!!' I thought to myself with a gaping mouth, whilst I used Sin to give myself a terrified look.

I was looking at the "projectiles" the orcs had hurled at me.

Most of them were rocks, wood, and debris of their "village" which was now just a pile of ashes – as my flames had already burned the entire thing down, only leaving rubble.

Only some of them were actual projectiles which were shot at me.

But, my biggest problem was that no orc was suspicious about me "miraculously" getting distracted.

No, they actually had noticed it, and not the kind like they barely saw it, they fully understood that they only landed a hit because I was distracted by something.

Like, Jesus! they should really learn to pick up on those tiny things! Even small movements - which are easy to ignore - can lead to something big, like how a small ember can turn into a large and raging inferno if you ignored it for too long.

And not just that, due to their tunnel vision, they couldn't even see the traps I had already prepared for them.

I knew that most of them were very low-key, so they won; but the biggest trap – and the one which I thought that they would discover immediately, the one that would literally cause them the most amount of suffering and mental anguish.

THEY HADN'T EVEN NOTICED IT!!!

LIKE HOW!!!???

I KID YOU NOT, THEY DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE MY FLAMES HEADING FOR THEIR SO-CALLED "BRETHREN"!!!???

THE ONES THEY WERE FIGHTING FOR, THE ONES THEY WERE SACRIFICING THEIR LIVES FOR!!!

They should've already experienced my fire, they should've known that it had a will of its own – well it's technically my will, but still.

They should've at least thought about what my flames would do after destroying every single "house" in the entire "village".

And not just that, when I used the wisdom provided to me by the acquisition of 'Draconic Scales' to redirect most of the energy to throw me in the air, they didn't even get suspicious about it.

The most they had thought was, "Oh, i aM A tRUe mONsTER, bOTH iN sTREnGTh And ChARaCtER."

Just how blinded did they have to be to not find it suspicious; I thought they had seen me getting hit by that ballista?

I mean, true, I had done the same thing that time; but, I hadn't done that to this extent.

Plus, that time I actually got hurt, this time, I was only slightly injured while I was thrown 4 meters into the air – not get knocked a little like last time! How is that just not suspicious!?

God! I really just want to kill these things! They were literally spitting at my face due to their sheer stupidity! It's not even funny anymore!

And the biggest reason they were actual fucking retards was that they still hadn't found that they were being BAITED.

For fuck sake, you all had been baited so many times! And I wasn't even trying those time; unlike how I was now!

They didn't even find it suspicious that I did a full 180 personality change after getting hit by a "lucky shot", well they did, but they were too dumb to do anything, no, to just start realizing anything about it.

But not just that, the leader, the one who I had the most hopes for, it had… that thing had…

THAT THING HAD THE FUCKING AUDACITY… TO THINK THAT… THEY WEREN'T GOING TO GET TRICKED AGAIN!!!

BITCH, YOU'RE ALREADY GETTING BAITED!!! ARE YOU JUST THAT DUMB!!!???

I was certain that if I would've probably started facepalming myself if I wasn't currently fighting these rabid orcs with Stage 6 Orc Retardation Syndrome.

I then calmed myself down, as I would've probably started to slaughter them any second because of their stupidity and their fucking audacity to think they were "sMaRt" and would never get tricked again.

The way I calmed myself down was pretty simple, I just jabbed myself at my own stupidity.

Like, how why did I ever expected these things could find out my true character when the only thing I had done was kill and torture them for the past few minutes?

I also compared these things to humans – as they were both contending to be the most retarded race in existence.

They weren't as violent as humans, but they still had some human characteristics.

Which made it a lot easier for me to stomach a lot of their stupidity; I mean, they don't even come close to the number of retarded things humans have done – like that bastard killing most of its own race because it was too horny, and the time where all the politicians messed up real good and send the world to a 1000 year-long technological dark age - and a mass extinction that had literally wiped out most of the races of the world, because they were trying to make an anti-matter bomb (which they did and failed horribly; it was a mission failed successfully moment).

I also stopped comparing myself and them together, as it was the thought process I had gotten due to me previously being a human.

Plus, not comparing myself with them made it a hell of a lot easier for me to stomach their inability to read a person – as unlike me, they couldn't "read" someone's thoughts.

I then sighed the biggest sigh of disappointment I had ever sighed in my sighing life as a sighing person who sighs.

I knew multiple ways I could kill each and every single orc present here with the said "projectiles" they had thrown at me.

But I wouldn't do that, even though I really wanted to!

I had to get hurt at least once, I was also going to test with pain nullification a bit – as I wanted to "feel" how it felt like, plus, not feeling pain was going to be very trippy.

I then started to calculate, but mostly guess since I'm too dumb for science and that I trusted my instincts more than numbers, where the projectiles were going to be in the next moment.

After "calculating" – I meat guessing, I just wanted to sound smarter to myself, and make me agree that I hadn't wasted most of my previous life – where all of them were going to be with an accuracy of 102% with a 2% margin of error.

I then jumped towards the nearest rock I could find.

The thing I was about to be the cool stunts you could do in some parkour games – it was when you could jump from one falling debris to another.

I didn't know how to do it, but thankfully, I wasn't trying to.

I just wanted to make them see me fail miserably and give them more hope. Plus, I would also gain a little experience in parkour, which would be very helpful for mobility in the future.

I then started to use Sin for its true purpose, to cause more suffering. Because no way hell, I'm letting these retards get away without experiencing the torture of the highest degree.

____

PS: Some of you may wonder just how rare a divine monster is, right?

Fret not, as I shalt bless thou with the wisdom of the occurrence's chance.

Well, anyways, I should probably just stop doing something I'm not really good at and just show you the results:

1 in every 10,000,000,000,000.

That's it. See ya later!

Next chapter's probably going to be a short story that doesn't do anything to develop the plot, its just for "character development" - don't worry, it's not rape, not yet ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) my fellow degens.

Well, anyways, my lazy ass also found out that I could change the cover a little. So, I made this abomination that only screams edgy to me. But, it's still way better than that generic shit.
