After Alicia entered, it was a few minutes before a new person entered the waiting room, then another, and it was an hour before they filled the room. There were 60 people in the room now with majority being the humans and elves. Several were showing proud expressions while others were keeping to themselves and others were already forming cliques. Kyle woke up and was surprised by the sight of several other teenagers. He turned to see Alicia and Hannah having a conversation.
"Sorry I was sleeping, what's going on with you guys?"
"We were just talking about what we should do right now. We could just wait for the objective to be complete or we could try to get to know everybody else here. What do you think?"
"Best to make good impressions."
"Ok, so let's move together."
Kyle got up from his seat and stretched a bit, startling the female elf who was sitting opposite of them. Kyle walked over to her seeing her reaction and became familiar with her first.
"Hello! My name is Kyle and I am kind of unsure of how these exams are finishing. Could you tell me?"
"Oh-ah... sure!"
The female elf violently nodded her head and cleared her throat.
"Well, my name is Nanette and the exams are finishing tomorrow with a final knowledge test on certain things. I'm not really sure of what time it is or what they ask, but that should be how the exams end."
"Oh! thank you... also is there something bothering you?"
"No! no there isn't."
"Well, if so, I hope you have a good rest of your day."
Kyle then returned to his seat and answered his friends' curious gazes.
"Her name is Nanette and the exams will end tomorrow."
"ok"
Hannah thought to herself before she seemed to become happy. She then turned to Kyle and with a mischievous smile, she asked.
"Want to have a theory debate?"
"On what topic?"
"How we can use magic."
"It's probably because of his majesty."
"Well, for that it would require for us to be promoted to higher-ranked angels."
"I doubt that."
"Why?"
"Because if we were high ranked angels we wouldn't be taking a test for an archangel's seat."
"Why not? Stranger things have happened back at home."
"Well... let's try to think about it clearly. To use magic we would have to at least be of the rank of the seven virtues and if so we would be far stronger than we are."
"Hmm... what if we actually are stronger than we currently are and we simply haven't unlocked that inner strength?"
"That... that would actually make sense except for the part that we wouldn't need to be taking a test for archangels then."
"Maybe so, but we could just be high ranked angels while we are in the test."
"Now I know you're overthinking it. To make someone a high ranked angel requires a lot of contribution to the community, proof of strength and approval from his majesty Elohim. Even you are aware of that."
Hannah then pouted and turned away from Kyle. He wasn't wrong there were several things required to become a higher ranked angel. Alicia had gone to speak with some other examinees. Soon Hannah joined her as well out of boredom and Kyle returned to his nap.
Half an hour passed before Hannah and Alicia returned and someone new entered the room. The person wore a white academy uniform with a nice black tie and black trousers. The person was male and had his brown hair neatly combed back. He had a heavy accent and a huge welcoming smile.
"I thank you all for cooperating with us peacefully and would like to make sure that everybody has at least become familiar with another person. Well, are you?"
"Yes!"
They filled the room with thunderous responses that all sounded at the same time. The boy had an even wider smile and pointed to the door he had just come through.
"I would like to show you all to your temporary sleeping quarters for the rest of the exam. Please know that we shall arrange you according to your ranks and if you have a problem with this do note that it is temporary."
The boy turned around and opened the door with a welcoming gesture. He spread his left palm, and a scroll appeared atop it with a small spark. He then opened the scroll with a dramatic flourish and cleared his throat.
"I shall start with the highest-ranked individuals all the way to the lowest. Please respect one another in the sleeping quarters and do not abuse your rank privileges to force lower rankers to do your bidding. We will expel you immediately unless proved otherwise."
"Now for the highest rankers amongst you... Kyle Entriken as a triple S ranker, Hannah Entriken as a triple S ranker and Alicia Entriken as... a triple S ranker!!! THERE'S THREE OF THEM!?!"
The boy had lost his calm nature earlier and stared at the three individual who stood up from their seats and walked towards him. They were all extremely good looking and the weapons they had on them looked special.
{Are they all really from the same family!?!}
Everybody within the room stared at the trio. Kyle was rubbing his eyes lazily, and Hannah was trying her best to keep him awake. Alicia was idly playing with her hair as she followed them. When they reached the boy, he snapped out of his state of shock and turned to the door to lead them. Another student passed through the door and received the scroll.
The boy led the trio into a dark hallway that seemed to stretch endlessly until a soft light came into view. They approached the light, and the boy removed a key from his shirt pocket. He placed the key into an invisible keyhole and half the key vanished. He turned it and they could hear a click from the other side.
The light suddenly grew brighter and everyone had to shield their eyes. When they opened their eyes once more, they found themselves within a grandly decorated corridor. They stood on a plush red carpet with gold ornaments surrounding them. A crystal chandelier hung high above their heads with a strong, attractive smell lingering in the air. A marble statue of an attractive female stood at the end of the corridor. The boy paid no attention to these other things and gestured to the three doors before him with grandiose.
" I present your sleeping quarters for the next four days. Hopefully, we're able to satisfy all your needs during this time period. You may also come and rest here during break periods if you become students of our magic academy. I shall leave you to your pleasures, goodbye."
The boy disappeared from view in a puff of smoke. Now only the trio remained. Kyle was slightly uncomfortable and chose the leftmost room. Hannah and Alicia followed him and covered their eyes because of the shine of all the valuables inside.
The room was as large as the hall where they took the first half of the exam. A giant crystal statue stood at the centre of the room. It was a hood covered by a female whose facial features were obscure and her hands holding a small blue crystal. She stood with a small moat around her feet that glowed blue. There were a few bookshelves at the far corner of the room, and a few weapon racks next to them.
Kyle walked over to a sofa that was in front of a fireplace and sat down.
"You know... you've been acting awfully strange lately, Kyle. Why exactly are you looking so sleepy?"
"Just came from meeting my father and Now I'm Here. I guess I somehow got tired along the way?"
"Ok... wait you met your father!?"
