Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Prologue/The life before (September, 1945)

WW2 had ended, or so people thought. The Axis were furious that they decided to surrender during the great war and so therefor bombed America. Some people were aware that this would happen and created Vaults. The creators of these Vaults were Vault-Tec. Vault 111 was an experimental place and froze it's dwellers. 200+ years later our characters in this story face the dangers of the fearful New.W.

My family was normal, at least the way I saw it. People always were very interested in the fact that my father served in the army and Mom and I were happy to hear that he was now coming home today. It would be my little brother, Shawn's, first time seeing him. He left eight years ago when Shawn was just a baby and I just turned eleven. I had a job now and just recently graduated high school but I didn't want to go to collage until I saw my dad again. Shawn was excited, but I could tell he was also very nervous. Dad was a nice guy. I still remember the day he left, it felt like my whole world came to an end. Mom, Shawn, and I wanted to make this day perfect for him. We wanted to tell him about everything that had happened while he was gone.

I helped Mom make dinner while Shawn went and cleaned his own room. We were making Father's favorite; chicken pot pie. We finished the meal a little after 16:00. Shawn came out of his room shortly after. We were unaware of when Father was going to come home but we didn't think it would be to far from now. We sat on the couch and waited for his arrival.

One hour later

We soon heard a knock at our door, we looked at each other and Mom smiled. I smiled back at her, so glad that he was finally within feet of my presence. We got up and went to see who was at the door.

It was him, he was home.
