"Call me what you did before."
"... Big sister?"
"Mhm!" she smiles at the cute little child.
"B-but doesn't that mean you're married to Big Brother then?"
"..."
Violetta's face immediately turns dark and serious, "What are you talking about?"
"B-big brother said that whoever marries him is called b-big sister…"
Violetta lets out a sigh, 'I was WONDERING just WHO would have done SUCH a thing. To teach a child something like this. No wonder, it's that demiDOG. He's such a bad influence for pure children like little Chris.'
On the other side of the Demigod Society's white capped mountain, Claude starts to get a chill, "I've got a bad feeling about something…"
Blade gives him a weird look, "Bro, are you ok?"
"Probably… not," Claude responds, receiving another shiver.
Violetta bends down to Christopher's height and looks into his sky blue, innocent eyes.
"Little Chris, just because Claude's wife is your sister doesn't mean that she is your only sister, ok? I'm also a big sister," she says, as kid friendly as she could.
"O-ok, b-but you also called me... Chris… and big brother said that only Big sister can also call him that."
"Yeah, so? I'm also a big sister."
The little boy pauses for a second before answering, "B-but he meant his wife, big sister."
"..."
'That damned Claude, just wait 'till I get my hands on you' Violetta curses. Somewhere else, Claude immediately feels another shiver down his spine.
'Seriously, I feel like I'm haunted,' he thinks, his back tensing up.
"...Haha, it's probably because Claude didn't think of other big sisters, ok?"
"...ok… big sister," the confused child agrees.
When the sun started to set, Violetta was finally discharged from the hospital with Delta and Christopher in tail.
"Don't forget to make the list and check the patients every hour," Delta commands a mage, "Also, take out the XX pills for patients with XX disease, the liquid medication doesn't work as well when the symptoms at the second stage appear."
After Delta chatted and reminded the mage for about a good fifteen minutes, they left the infirmary.
"But honestly, I'm surprised, Delta, that you're the head of the infirmary," Violetta comments casually.
After all the hectic events throughout her trip here, she's become more casual and open to the people in the society.
"Yes I am, your highness. It is necessary for someone of your status and injury to be checked by the head," Delta replies.
Violetta turns to her new companion with a smile, "No need to be so formal, just call me Violetta."
Delta looks at her in surprise.
'Not only does she have a peculiar personality, but is also quite different from other royals and condescending people of high position. They'd never give a smile and calling their names informally would never even cross their mind.'
"Do you allow all your servants to call you by your first name," Delta asks curiously.
"Of course not, only the people I trust," Violetta responds.
Suddenly, her voice turns sharp, "I trust you won't betray my trust. You should know the consequences if you do, I presume."
Delta shivers at the intense authoritative command, one of a person who's been through life and death.
She glances at the princess, who looks nonchalant, completely different from the voice and works coming out of her mouth.
Chris stares a bit shocked, 'her aura is like brother's… it feels like I have another brother!' He snuggles in Violetta's arms, a bit more open with her. 'Of course, a sister is still different from harsh big brother.'
Violetta retracts her bloodlust as she surprisingly feels a ball of warmth back in her arms. She pats his head and waves at Delta before walking again.
Delta smiles behind them, 'Looks like I have an interesting new boss…' before she hurries after them.
"By the way, anything else you need to say to me about yourself?" Violetta asks, suddenly remembering .
"Ah, well, other than being the head of the infirmary, I am also a successor of the magic council, and 'éclair'," she suddenly blushes.
"Magic council successor? Claire? Wait what's a 'Claire'?" Violetta asks, her expression changing from shock to confusion.
"Big sis, it's éclair like the dessert éclair, not Claire. Éclair is a fan club for Big brother Claude," Chris explains with a certain amount of seriousness, "It originated from a couple of female mages who wanted to be big brother's prospective partners, but then turned into a huge fan club of many mages, including males too now. There are actually some royals part of it too."
"What the heck? He's that popular? Are they all blind?" Violetta mutters at an almost inaudible volume.
"Ah, no offense, Delta."
"None taken, of course he's that popular. He's the sole successor of the Supreme Demigod and has all the elements of magic except darkness, of course. He also excels at all the affinities and could be counted as on par with the Supreme Demigod, if not, maybe even stronger."
"Oh really," Violetta replies, dragging the last word. How would she believe someone who stooped as low as to lie and spy on her to be the same genius in those rumours. Makes one wonder if they're really talking about the same person.
Delta gulps, seeing how nonchalant and rude Violetta is to the godly successor. 'I hope he doesn't find out and mercilessly-' she gulps again as she remembers the outcome of the other women, namely princesses that tried to seduce him or princes who took him too lightly. It wasn't a great ending…
"Anyways," Violetta switches the topic as she sees Delta's scared expression, "How many members are there in the magic council?"
"Oh, that actually depends. It's really just anyone who has more than one affinity. Usually, no matter what, there will always be at least one per generation but no more than five. This really makes people wonder if there's actually a god up there controlling all of this."
"Hehhhhh? That's neat!"
A small voice cuts off the conversation, "Big Sister…"
Chris takes out a chubby small finger from under his small cloak and points up at the two young men walking towards them.
