Olivia chuckled. "Thanks Ali,"
•••
Half an hour later, the two girls got out of Alicia's topless red Ferrari and entered the huge house.
The pungent stink of alcohol and weed hit Olivia like a ton of bricks.
She scrunched her face in disgust and followed Alicia through the thick crowd.
"Stay close, alright? I don't want you getting lost here," her best friend whispered, loud enough for only Olivia to hear.
This sent shivers down the green-eyed girl's spine.
'This isn't helping my nerves,' she thought to herself.
Not being able to answer, Olivia just nodded in response.
Before she knew it, Alicia intertwined their fingers and pulled her to the kitchen, where it wasn't as crowded.
"Heyyyy babyyyy," Josh came into the room, slurring his words as he almost dropped the plastic cup in his hand.
"Hey babe," Alicia walked up to her boyfriend and gave him a peck on the lips.
He whispered something in her ear, something Olivia couldn't quite make out.
Alicia nodded and walked back to where Olivia stood.
"Hey, Josh's asking me to dance. I'll be right back," she winked and walked away, making Olivia's heart race.
After an hour and a half of watching people play beer pong, Olivia decided that she had enough and wanted to go look for Alicia.
"So much for 'I'll be right back', huh?" she muttered under her breath.
When she finally found the girl she was looking for, all she saw was her best friend sitting topless in a circle with a few other people, probably playing a game of Truth or Dare.
Alicia quickly took notice of her presence.
"Hey Laur, come join us!"
Olivia only nodded and sat down across her best friend, between two drunk guys.
"Olivia, truth or dare?" Mason, one of Alicia's friends, asked.
"I'm gonna go with dare," Olivia smirked, feeling a little more confident.
"I dare you too kiss the hottest person in this circle,"
Olivia gulped, feeling her confidence level drop once more.
How could she not choose Alicia? She had her top off, long, tan legs stretched out...
She plucked up as much courage as she could and pushed herself forward, smashing her lips against her best friend's.
Only to realise her best friend was completely sober too.
She wanted her to kiss back, more than anything.
Before she knew it, Olivia was being pushed off and slapped right across the face by a fuming Josh.
The music had stopped and Olivia swore that everyone was holding their breath. All that could be heard were the heavy pants from Alicia's boyfriend.
"Ali, I'm sorry—" Olivia tried to apologise.
"Save it!" Alicia cut her off. "I never want to hear from you again. I always knew there was something wrong with you! You always stare at me too long, you try to hold my hand as much as possible! You— just don't talk to me ever, ever again. I'm done with you!"
And with that, Josh slapped Olivia one more time before the green-eyed girl ran off, tears streaming down her face.
— End of Flashback —
"Hey Liv, are you okay?" Emma asked, worry spread across her face.
Olivia realised she was crying only after the first few teardrops fell onto the back of her hand.
She quickly nodded her head and wiped her tears away, realising that Emma was already finished with the dishes.
"Sorry I wasn't of much help," the raven-haired girl apologised.
"Don't worry about it," Emma shook her head. "I'm just worried about you right now. Is something bothering you?"
Her brown eyes stared into Olivia's emerald ones. Instead of answering Emma's question, she stayed silent for a few seconds.
Then, without knowing what would happen next, she sprung forward and smashed her lips against Emma's.
'Please don't pull away, please don't pull away,' was all Olivia could think about when she felt Emma's soft lips against hers.
At first, the kissed surprised Emma quite a bit. After being so mean to the older girl at school, she never expected Olivia to still feel this way towards her.
Determined not to let this chance be ruined and taken away from her, Emma of course, kissed back.
Their lips moved in sync, both parties delighted to have engaged themselves in such a heated make out session.
Not long after, Emma had her hands all up in Olivia's thick black locks, gently tugging on it.
The other girl let out a throaty moan, a moan in which the brown-eyed brunette had to muffle in case her family members — who were still outside — heard.
Olivia bit on Emma's bottom lip and tugged on it ever so slightly, teasing the younger girl. Emma whined at the loss of contact every time the green-eyed girl pulled away slightly.
The two girls were so into their heated session that they didn't hear the kitchen door opening.
"What is going on in here?"
Hearing Amanda's voice, the two girls pulled away from each other almost instantly.
Emma whimpered, craving for the older girl's touch.
She could be the most popular girl in school — and definitely the most powerful — but with Olivia, the brunette was almost like putty in the green-eyed girl's hands.
"Well?" her mother's voice snapped her out of her daydream.
"Uhh...mum, I can explain—" Emma tried.
"Actually, I don't wanna hear it. To your room, young lady. And you," Amanda turned to face Olivia. "You and I are gonna have a little chat. Join me in the living room,"
Olivia gulped. What had she gotten herself into this time?
•••
"Sit down, Olivia," Amanda said, her tone ice cold.
The girl immediately obliged, sitting down across from the older woman.
Amanda stared at her for a little while, and a little too long, too.
Feeling uncomfortable under her gaze, Olivia fidgeted in her seat, trying to distract herself from the fixed gaze of the Cuban woman.
Finally, Amanda cleared her throat. "What's going on between you and my daughter?"
"Mrs. Jensen, there's-"
Amanda cut her off. "Don't you dare tell me there's nothing going on, Olivia. There's definitely something, considering that I just caught the two of you sucking each other's faces!" she said, fists banging constantly on the table.
"Mrs. Jensen, I—" Olivia couldn't bring herself to say it, but she knew she had to. "I like y-your daughter. Quite a bit, actually."
Saying this could make or break her relationship with Emma. Literally. If Amanda decided that it was okay for her and the younger girl to continue what they were doing, she'd be the happiest person alive.
And if not, Olivia didn't know what she was going to do to herself.
But she knew it wasn't going to be pretty.
"You really, really like my daughter?" Amanda asked again for confirmation.
The green-eyed girl nodded her head quickly.
Sighing, the older woman leaned back in her chair.
"Olivia, I'm okay with this. But—"
Olivia's heart pounded against her rib cage. She didn't think she was ready for what was coming.
Amanda coughed and cleared her throat. "As I was saying, I'm okay with this. I just wanted Emma—"
Olivia's eyes widened. "Sorry to interrupt, Mrs. Jensen, but did you say Emma?"
Amanda nodded her head, unsure of what else to say.
"O-Okay, carry on. Sorry," Olivia mumbled sheepishly.
"Yes, I just wanted Emma to tell us herself,"
"What do you mean? I mean, we're not a couple or anything. That moment in the kitchen was pretty unexpected," the green-eyed girl shrugged.
"No dear, I mean I wanted Emma to tell us she was attracted to girls, or whatever it is she has to say. I didn't want to find out like this,"
Olivia nodded her head in understanding.
"I understand, Mrs. Jensen. Would you like me to talk to her?"
"That would be lovely, thank you. Is there anything else you two would like to talk about? I don't mean to intrude, just curious," the Cuban woman winked.
'Oh, there's plenty of things I would like to talk about,' Olivia thought.
"Nothing in particular, I'll just try to get her to open up to you guys more. That's what we all hope for, right?"
"Most definitely. Thank you dear,"
Olivia nodded head and left the table to go upstairs.
