Karma felt happy about the future and it distracted her from what she was actually there at the lab to do. After forty minutes of speaking to each other in hushed tones, her number was called.
"Do you want me to hold your hand?" he asked as she got up to go through the mirror like door.
"No, I am a big girl. Just promise to be here when I emerge from the other side of the mirror."
"Hah!" he laughed. "As long as you look the same as you are on this side of the mirror."
Karma returned five minutes later drying a tear and told him that was the biggest needle ever made that they used on her.
"Serves you right," Nickolas replied, "Since I am not able to get revenge for you being so bossy at times, It's good that someone else makes you feel it."
