Chapter 16 - The unconscious woman was restrained

Cacophony of cries echoed inside an underground cell. The prisoners either calling for help or begging for death to come. They have been locked up for months now and everyday someone would come and torture them, either mentally or physically. And now, their looks have become haggard— like a withered flower, with dark circles forming around their bloodshot eyes and skin as pale as a corpse. It was hell, a torturous hell that brought damnation on their lives.

And this prisoners are the reported missing people, those who suddenly vanished without a trace. All of them abducted by the Oni. It was a mystery what the Oni wants, they just wear them down or hurt them but not to the point of dying.

If one of them never gets back on their cell after being dragged outside they assume that the person has died, but then everytime it happens there's always a new replacement.

Just like today, they watched as another person was brought inside. The hallways has always been dimly lit so they can't tell who the new one is, though they can see the faint outline of her body and the long hair.

It was a woman. This is the first time a woman was abducted and as they stick their faces in between the bars of their respective cells to see where will they put her, shock was evident on their pale faces.

Who wouldn't be surprised? The woman was brought at the farthest cell, the one in the middle, facing the hallway. It was the biggest cell but the only place with shackles and chains attached at the wall.

The unconscious woman was restrained. Both of her wrists shackled and a collar chain was put on her slender neck.

After making sure that the shackles are securely locked the Oni guards locked her cell before leaving the underground. It was said that the woman is dangerous so they have to put chains on her or else, a single mistake might lead to their death.

The other prisoners observe the woman. She was just sitting limply with her head down, the coat of black hair covering her face.

She's probably still unconscious. They thought. What a pity to be captured by the Oni, just like them, she'll experience the same hell.

After a moment, the woman moved and the others watched in bated breath as she lifted her head. A gasp resounded at the hallway then silence followed.

Seeing the kitsune mask attached on her face they do not need to know who the person was. First of all, there's only one person who has that unique white fox mask and that is the leader of Kitsune gang. The notorious leader who has caused bloodshed and countless massacre that until now people tremble at her sight.

Prime weakly lifted her head then she roamed her eyes around. One glance and she already has a vague idea of where she is. A prison— a special one.

Then her head drifted down. She can feel the weight of the chains in her hands and even though she can still move a little but reaching the collar in her neck is impossible. It seems that they totally restrained her.

A laugh reverberated from her chest then it echoed through the whole cell. The laugh is terrifyingly cold and arrogant. Those who heard it can't help but shiver in fright.

"Good," She whispered, "Very good. Now that they captured me they don't dare show their sorry faces, instead locking me up like a monster."

Such bravery to dare poison and restrain her. Her lips curled up to a smile. Right now, she's still weak but once she regained her strength she swears— she wholeheartedly swears, that she will tear them apart, one by one.

As everyone was still wondering how the Oni managed to capture the infamous leader, footsteps emerged from the other end of the hallway. Three black-cloaked people entered their eyes with the one walking ahead from the two.

They continue their way before stopping at the last cell. The unknown person in the middle removed his cloak, revealing a haughty looking face.

"Long time no see, Prime." Black said, using the same words she said when her gang ambushed them at the Stone Mountain. "How does it feel to have the tables turned? Do you want to cry? Go on, I'll watch you cry."

Prime squinted her eyes. It is true that the man outside her cell is Black, but he seems different. His temperament and aura is a hundred times better than their last encounter. He looks haughty and more arrogant, with a touch of mysterious elegance.

Prime raised an eyebrow. "You're Black? Were you so scared of me that you suddenly had an 180 degree changed? What a d*mn scaredy cat."

Yet Black did not flinch at her insult. He bend his body forward to look closer at her.

"I see that you have a good eye for details. I'll give you points for that, b*tch!" He spat. "Since that you are still acting so arrogant I'll let you know who you're dealing with."

Prime sat comfortably, her smile not giving away the pain in her chest nor the slight coldness because kf the poison.

"Do tell. Introduce yourself." She ordered while matching his arrogance.

Black laughed at her. Squatting in his spot, he caressed the iron bars that's separating them.

"Though the body is Black but the person inside was not. Owww... Curious, are we? Don't worry, soon you'll be like me. That body of yours will no longer belong to you."

Prime furrowed her brows. The words totally confused her. "What do you mean?"

"They said that you are strong, very strong. It's a pity that they only let me have this body and not yours. Being the unfavored son really has its disadvantage."

His eyes turned colder and a sinister smile appeared on his face.

"That's alright. As a welcome gift, I'll give you a few lashings."

Black signaled his men. Then the two opened the cell before dragging Prime out. She wanted to retaliate the moment the shackles were removed, but the d*mn poison is acting up again. She gritted her teeth before glaring back at Black who smiled mockingly at her.

"You'll pay for this, Black. You and the Oni."
