Northern district, Fujiwara Clan.
Inside the mansion a loud crash alerted everyone. They immediately rushed at the origin of the sound, only to find the Mrs. Fujiwara kneeling beside the broken frame. She picked each shard of glass carefully but a maid was too quick. Before the madame could touch another shard she was already stopped.
"Madame, let us handle this." The maid said while helping her sit at the sofa.
Mrs. Fujiwara glanced at the broken frame and at the picture inside. It was a sixteen years old girl smiling widely with her hands on a peace sign. At the picture, the girl looks so sweet and innocent. Her eyes were full of genuine happiness and tender love. It such a beautiful picture.
Mrs. Fujiwara sadly smiled.
That girl is the only young mistress of the Fujiwara family. She was doted on and pampered by the clan, growing up like a princess she has no clue about the outside world at all. Unfortunately, because of a guy she left the house and never appeared again.
No matter how many men they dispatched to look for her, she was never found. No one even knows if she's still alive or not.
Outsiders also knew about it. The only princess of Fujiwara clan run away with a guy and went missing. That's why some of them always remained vigilant. They tried to help at the search to win the favor of an influential and powerful ancient clan like the Fujiwaras.
"What happened?"
Mrs. Fujiwara stood up from her seat to help her father who just came out from the study.
"Dad."
The old man tap his cane angrily at the marble floor when he saw the broken frame. He glared at his daughter and scolded her.
"Why did you drop my granddaughter's picture?! That's always been my favorite picture of her yet you dare break it!"
"Dad, I don't feel good," Mrs. Fujiwara told him, helping the old man sit at the couch.
Old Fujiwara stared at his daughter. It is true that she is a little pale and her hands are trembling like she just got the fright of her life. But what could have happen inside their mansion for her to feel like that.
"What happened? Did someone sneak inside? Who bullied you?!"
Mrs. Fujiwara shook her head. "I am having this ominous feeling. I feel like something bad is going to happen."
She's been to fidgety since she woke up and unlike before she keeps on looking at her daughter's picture. That's why she got so scared when the picture slipped out of her hand. The bad feeling only worsened and she doesn't know what to do anymore.
Her daughter has been missing for more than five years now. She always believes that she's still out there so she doesn't want to conclude that the feeling has something to do with her daughter.
"Dad..."
The old man glanced back at the picture. This time the frame has been replaced with a new one.
"You should ready yourself," he started, "I got a feeling that Kurami will finally come back."
