I was back in New York. I thanked god for not letting my parents know that I was kidnapped and as well as I got out of it. At first GM was suspicious that something was wrong with me. Then after sometime she gave up when I decided to pour our lies on her.
It was almost time for our spring collection. By spring I remembered the cherry blossoms at Ryeo's garden. The scent of those still lingering in my noses. I made calls to the designers for the spring collection to send us the samples so that we could select the featured designs. It was a busy day. I had sort out the models. As we were short on male models, I decide to ask Zen to fill the gap. Hectic load of works had to be done before the showcase in a few days. The photoshoots were not even started yet.
I walked into the reception area where the cubicles were located as I asked them work faster. I let kiara to go and fetch the samples for the designs from the designer's house.
It was about six in the evening. I decided to call it a day. I walked out my cabin with all my belongings as I entered the elevator. The elevator door dings on the ground floor as I walked out through the chaos to the main street. Once I was out I saw Zen standing there with his car. He looked at me as he smiled.
I smiled back at him.
"How did you know I was done for the day?", i asked surprised.
"No. I didn't. I just came because I missed you" he said as he pulled me into a hug. I blushed at his comment.
He opened the door for me as he let me sit in. He closed the door for me as he walked over to the driver's seat. He drove us away into the busy traffic.
"Where are we going?" I asked him as he crossed the lane to my apartment.
"You will see" he answered with a smile.
It was about an hour's drive. He parked the car at the corner of the road. He looked towards me as he asked me to turn around. I did as I was told. He blindfolded me with a ribbon.
"Would you wait for me here for a few minutes" he asked.
"Just tell me what it is?" I argued.
"Trust me. It will be worth it Haru" he said.
I nodded. He walked out the car. He let the bonnet open and there was silence for few minutes. I waited still thinking what he was doing. I wanted to peak but I thought it may destroy the mood. After few minutes he came back closing the bonnet and came around to my side as I heard click on my side of the door.
"What are doing Zen?" I asked confused.
"Just trust me Haru" he said. I remained silent as he took my hand in his as he let me out of the door closing it behind me.
He led me through a grassy field as I felt beneath me. After a minute or two he stopped.
"What?" I asked.
"Now you can take off the ribbon" he said.
I took hold of the ribbon as I untied it. As I opened my eyes I saw the most beautiful view ever. We were almost on a cliff. We could see the sun going down the horizon. What I didn't realise was beneath me there was a carpet with a flask and a basket. I looked towards Zen saying thank you as our lips met each other.
"I told you. It will be worth it" he said winking.
"Thanks" I said again.
We sat on the carpet. I opened the basket. It had muffins, burger and fries in it. Along with the camomile tea in the flask. I poured out the tea for both me and Zen. I neared him as I rest my head on his shoulder as we enjoyed the tea along with the eatery and the view.
When it was getting dark I asked Zen to head back. But he smiled at me kissing my forehead.
"The view was not the only thing that I brought you here. The main show haven't started yet" he smiled at me. I looked at him confused as he hot up and headed towards the car.
"Where are you going?" I asked him.
"Let me get the lantern" he said.
He came back with a lantern and a guitar in his hand. I looked at him surprised.
"I never knew you could play?" I said to him as he sat next to me.
"It just that, I never show my skills to anyone. But when it comes to you I cannot afford to hide my charm. Or else you may find me boring" he said smiling.
I blush everytime he compliments me. I didn't even know I could blush so much I thought to myself. He lit the lantern as he positioned his guitar. Once the lantern was lit i could see fireflies flying everywhere. It was a sight to hold. I looked at him as i gestured him to play a song for me.
He started strumming the strings as he started singing.
"Wise man say only fools rush in....."
I didn't interrupt him throughout the song. He had such a calming and sweet voice I wish I had. He smiled at me once the song was finished. I smiled back at him.
"Play often for me" I said to him.
"I would play for you as long as I can" he answered as he kissed me on my lips.
We stayed for some more time enjoying the view and his singing. It was already dark when we came back home. I asked Zen to stay the night with me. He decided to leave since he had work to complete but at last complied to stay when I gave him the puppy eyes expression.
