Chapter 22 - ~Chapter 16~ The Collection of Elements- Saph

As we wandered the world gathering the powers of each element, our small group was joined by more people. At one point, we could no longer travel during the day. The daylight bothers me, but it is much worse for the Vampires. On the day that we found the last element's source, that of Ice, we met the last group. The Icelings. Each of the source guardians joined us. The Icelings were beings not unlike us Cave Fae, they, too, were Fae but unlike the Cavelings, Icelings were made of ice. The Elemental Fae all were like golems, made of any element.

The only one of the elements were there was no Fae guardians was the Blood element. This one was guarded by Vampires. We headed back to the castle where the entrance to the Earth Center laid and entered it in the cover of darkness. We each headed to special rooms Nimi the Repairer made for us. Each Elemental Fae type had it's own set of rooms, courtesy of Nimi herself. The dungeons were the Vampires' place since she said there was once other Vampires living there. The next day, she gathered the leaders of each element and took them to the Audience Chamber where this whole thing began. She sat atop the throne, and I mean that literally, she floated herself up on the top of the throne with the Wind Bond.

"Hello Elementals!" Nimi exclaimed. "I wish to speak with you all." I noticed a small Cat girl lurking in the background. Since we had stayed up late the night before, discussing the speech she would tell them, I tuned her out and went to the Cat.

"Hello." I whispered, startling her. I do do that sometimes, I've got a bad habit of lurking in the shadows. "It's okay."

"Wh-Who are y-you?"

"I am known as Lady Saph, Queen of the Cavelings. You might know them as Cave Fae."

"Aren't they an evil race of Fae?"

"No." I smiled lightly. "Only some of us are." She nodded. "What's your name?"

"Jina."

"Then it is nice to meet you Jina. How close are you to Nimi the Repairer?"

"What? Oh. You mean the Queen. We're friends, I guess."

"You guess? What's that mean?"

"Well, she's got so many new people. I'm just the Co-Duchess of the Mageforests Duchy."

"Well, if you were once friends, surely you still are."

"I guess."

"Follow me." I held out a hand and she hesitantly took it. I led the small Cat girl to the throne. I guided her to the spot next to Min, the Dragon Chief, and had her stand there before going back to my own place next to the girl they called Samu.

Nimi the Repairer was just finishing her speech at that point. "And now, I wish to ask you to join my Kingdom. You all lead all the respective Elementals, yes?"

"We do m'Lady Repairer." The King of the Icelings spoke up.

"Then join me and gather your subjects. The sources no longer need to be protected because the Ultimate Source is right here." That was one thing I told her. Since she is capable of absorbing the elemental sources, without any Dark Magic, she is not only the Repairer, she is the Ultimate Source.

"The Ultimate Source? That is actually possible. I pledge my, and my subjects to you m'Lady Repairer."

"Thank you King Freze." The rest of the Elemental Leaders pledged their loyalty in similar manners until all that was left was the Vampire. "Will you pledge to me your loyalty Queen Lilah?"

"Not yet. I believe I will see how you run your Kingdom first."

"That is fair." The other Queen nodded. I stepped in and spoke with the Queen of the Vampires.

"If you would follow me." She nodded and followed after as I gave her a short tour. "As you can see, Lady Nimi has provided places for each of the leaders in this place." I knocked on a shut door and it opened, revealing the leader of the Were-Snakes. He had scales covering the majority of his body. I was told his name was Kalu.

"How is life here in this castle?" Lilah asked.

"It isss good. Lady Nimi isss a kind leader. She makessss the nicsssessst roomsss." The hissing speech was, at first, hard to understand.

"I see." Lilah nodded. "Thank you." We repeated this for the rest of the leaders in the castle. At one point, after noticing the complete lack of any commoner, she asked me where they were.

"Nimi houses the Were-beasts and other Fae she had met in the forest nearby out in the towns surrounding here."

"The cities made of plants?"

"Yes." I nodded. The Vampire and some of the other Fae, as well as the Were-beasts were much taller than I. I was rather short, but that is caused by my race being an Elemental Fae.

"So we won't go there right? We can't handle the day."

"M'Lady will provide for your every need. If that means you stay here, in the castle, then you will."

"Good, good."

After that, Lilah sat in for some of her audiences, where commoner and Royals alike went and either complained or praised her. When they complained, she was quite focused and asked questions but when they praised her she leaned back into her throne and looked rather bored. Once, I heard her complain to Min, saying that the praising was aggravating. He basically said that her subjects praise her so much because she's almost an actual Goddess.

Two weeks later, Lilah, instead of sitting off to the side, stood in line with the people seeking an audience with her. When it was her turn, she walked right up to the throne and kneeled at the foot of the steps up to it. "I, Lilah, Queen of the Vampire Race, hereby pledge my and my subjects' allegiance to you, Lady Nimi, Goddess of all Races, Repairer of the Rift of the Races, and the Ultimate Source." With her way of speaking the pledge, it was magically binding.

"I accept this pledge." Nimi said with a not of finality. And with that, Nimi's Kingdom now had the loyalty of every Elemental guardian.
